After Cang Yue broke through, everyone sat on a picnic blanket and ate lunch, which Hong Guan tactfully prepared beforehand.

That's until Cang Yue uttered something regarding her family.

"Eh, You want me to visit your father?" Yu Long finished his food when Cang Yue proposed this idea.

Cang Yue nodded and smiled, "Yes. What's the matter, you don't want to meet him? Also, it should be your father-in-law now rather than just your father." 

An awkward expression crept on Yu Long's face as he didn't mean to sound dense. After all, Yu Long was happy to have Cang Yue as his wife, but he never met her family aside from her mother, the Blue Wind Empire's Empress, Lan Shirou.

He chuckled weakly, "My bad." 

"But why all of a sudden?" 

Cang Yue placed a well-cooked meat in Yu Long's mouth and answered casually, "He just wanted to meet you." 

"I mean, as a father-in-law, he wanted to meet the man who would marry his daughter, no? Although you're an excellent figure, nothing is better than meeting someone personally." 

"Ah, so that's why." Yu Long nodded attentively, chewing the food fed by Cang Yue.

After changing Cang Yue's fate, Yu Long also altered the plot of the world substantially. The fallen Blue Wind Empire recovered with the help of the Lost Heaven Sect.

Cang Yue's Father, Cang Wanhe, was an able emperor.

Yu Long felt touched by Hong Guan's words and sighed, "You must be tired..." 

'If we have free time, would you like to go on a date, Guan?' He sent a sound transmission, which surprised Hong Guan a bit.

Hong Guan's green eyes widened as she nodded weakly, somewhat excited about their incoming date. Nevertheless, she must plan a few things first.

Xia Qingyue and Cang Yue didn't know the date between the two, but they could smell something in the air.

'What's this bubbly, warm mood?' Xia Qingyue glanced at Cang Yue.

'I don't know.' Cang Yue responded.

Meanwhile, Jasmine listened to their conversation and ate her desserts peacefully. She's in her own realm of joy!

"You want to visit Wanhe? That's rare." Yu Zhan said after hearing about Yu Long's next trip. 

"Yeah." Yu Long answered helplessly. 

"That's rough, buddy." Xu Sanshan snickered at his grandson. "Well, there is nothing about visiting your in-laws." 

Three men sat on the rock, watching the ladies pile gifts into a small mountain for Cang Yue's mother and father.

"Remember to give this shawl to your mother." 

"And this one-thousand-year tonic is for your father." 

"Oh, don't forget to take this jade bracelet!" 

Cang Yue was overwhelmed by Xu Nannan and Yu Xin. Now Cang Yue understood how extremely pampered Xia Qingyue was a few days ago.

Xia Qingyue watched this with an amused expression.

"Aih, he's not honest at all." Xu Nannan sighed and gave Yu Zhan an apologizing look. "I shouldn't have made that joke earlier." 

"I... It's alright." Yu Zhan smiled wryly. "I'm used to it anyway." 

'I know he was doing it for Yu Xin in the past, but I also have pride.' Yu Zhan stared at his father-in-law's back and vowed someday to beat him in a fair fight. Of course, He must train more and more for now.

Yu Xin stared at her husband and hugged his arm, "Let's go, I will comfort you..."

"As expected, he's such an extraordinary young man." 

Cang Yue dragged Yu Long to the gallery room and opened the door, revealing a middle-aged man in an azure robe.

"Father, I'm back!" Cang Yue leaped and hugged the middle-aged man.

"Welcome back." Cang Wanhe welcomed his daughter's return.

"And you're Yu Long, I suppose?" 

Yu Long nodded and smiled, "Yes, nice to meet you, your majesty." 

Cang Wanhe's eyes lit up as he chuckled in amusement, "You can call me Father or Father-in-law. And your status is higher than mine. There is no need for such formality." 

"It's still early in the morning. What about breakfast?"

"Sure." Yu Long found this father-in-law of his more amiable than he presumed.
