9 Chapter 9

'But I wonder?'

I stopped and pointed my tail above my head like a scorpion to see if I had any special abilities. I tried to flex the tip of my tail making the 3 hook latch shut. I unflexed them causing them to return to normal.

I then thought of someone else. 'Since my tail is mechanical can't i-' I thought of rotating the top of my tail and I started spinning like a drill. 'Wow that's kinda cool'

'Honestly maybe I'm having too much fun being a kaiger but who cares' what happened happened and I can't change it so I might as well embrace it. Over the horizon I could see a city.

I crouched down and started sprinting at full speed. The city that looked like a 4 hours trek away, was now only a few Minute run. By now it was pretty dark out and I couldn't see very well.

A light beam started shooting from above my eyes and my chest. Now I could see in front of me. Despite my feet being pretty clunky I could move pretty fast.

After another minute or so I was finally inside of the city. I jumped over the almost nonexistent wall and walked in

I walked into the city seeing it completely deserted. 'Expected' I walked down a road looking for anything that could be their. I heard foot steps to my right. I turned, not to see anything.

I heard somthing from my right and turned to look. I saw a glimpse of a shadow. Before I could understand what I was looking at something jumped on my back.

I crashed to the floor and flipped onto my stomach. Now on all fours I could get a better look of what was attacking me. It was a ripper. Yeah those things that attacked me a while back.

It growled and multiple came out of the surrounding buildings. 'Well, atleast I know they attack me' if I had assumed they didn't then what if a bigger kaiju came I would've been screwed.

I stood up on my hind legs before running away at top speed. 'Yeah I'm not doing that' I've learned my lesson about fighting kaiju i suck at it.' Behind me the rippers started chasing me. I weaves inbetween cars.

One of them was close enough and grabbed on to my tail. I tensed my tail and whipped it to the side. Causing it to get launched into a car.

2 other has managed to catch up and were pouncing towards me. I jumped up onto a car and onto a building. The 2 rippers now turned 6 started running beside the building. 3 of them found a way up the building.

I started running towards the innermost part of the city. There were bigger buildings there and could help me escape.

I saw a tall building and started running towards it. It was too high for me to jump on it so I grabbed a pipe on the side. I started crawling up it when the 3 rippers pulled my tail.

I tried to hold on but got pulled off. I landed in between the rippers and got into a fighting stance. On all 4 and with my tail poised above my head.

One of the rippers jumped towards me and I used my tail to grab and then throw it. It hit the wall with a thud and slowly got back up.

The other two circle around to my sides before lunging. I ducked dodging them both and then started rotating the tip of my tail like a drill.

I stabbed it towards one that fell while making sure the other one didn't attack. The light shining in my chest started to flicker. Luckily it should only be a few more hours till dawn.

The kaiju that had previously hit the wall was all the way up now and snuck up behind me. I noticed it and kicked a leg towards its head knocking it out.

I stabbed the final one in the head with my claw before climbing up the building. My lights have gone out and I didn't know if they could reach me. I grabbed a dead ripper with my tail before finding my way to a higher building.

I looked toward the dead ripper. 'I really have to eat this, wait do I have to eat this?' Could I need power like a jaeger or food like a kaiju? Does kaiju blood affect me?

I didn't know and didn't really have the means to. I took a bite out of the rippers expecting an awful taste but didn't. It tasted more if sprite was a food like the fizzyness of it but as a good instead.

It was also pretty rubbery. But I could still bear it. I took a few more bites before realizing the kaijus didn't have bones.

Why they didn't have bones was kind of weird. But it kind of makes sense. The best way to take damage is to absorb it; no bones mean it spreads to the whole body.

But what about their structure it seems like their muscles are bones instead. 'Why am I thinking about this? It doesn't affect me in the slightest.' I finished eating the kaiju and laid down.

Well I tried to. I tried to lay on my back but it was really uncomfortable. So I laid like a dog would. My knees bent beside my stomach while my arms in front of me. I put my head and curled my tail over my head. It was only an hour or 2 from sunrise and I wanted to sleep.
