Chapter 65: Mysterious Cave (1)

Toma and Zack came to Toma's house. Toma's house was a bit bigger than the other houses because Toma had six fifth graders living at her house. They were like big brothers to her and this obviously made Zachery doubt whether he was walking to his death. Would people at that level realise that Zachery had come here to test whether he was in love with Toma?

Zack was really thinking too deep. Did these people really have time to see him? Some of these people were in their 40s and had been trying to improve for decades. Long-term closed-door training could even take a few years.

Zack was very surprised when he came to the backyard of the house. There was war equipment all over the house. Sabre, sword, machete, pistol, dagger, hook, axe. Whatever you were looking for was here.

"This place is really crowded. Even if nobody's here, there's a lot of stuff left behind. Do you know where we can work better?" said Zack. Toma quickly nodded her head in agreement and Zack started to move forward quickly with the giant spear in one hand and Zack in the other. She actually grabbed Zack's hand and took him with her. This did not bother Zachery at all. It just made him shiver. He didn't always touch a girl's soft hand.

When he became a developmental student, his already unsociable situation became even more asocial. The girls he was closest to were his flatmates.

Their steps were so quiet that no one could hear them. They looked like a couple sneaking away. They were like secret lovers. Although Toma did not realise this situation, Zachery liked it. He involuntarily held Toma's hand tighter. Toma looked at him out of the corner of her eye but said nothing. The girl in this small body did not have a small heart. In fact, she was very excited at that moment. She was holding a man's hand! If it wasn't for the fact that she had already acted when she realised this, she would definitely have tried to burst into shame.

She hid her face from Zack. She didn't want him to see the blush. She didn't want him to know she was embarrassed.

The houses were lined up along the streets. Each of them was 2 storeys high and had an ordinary and pleasant architecture. Although the author did not know what these houses were called because he was not rich enough to know about them, he knew that the arrangement of these houses was quite similar to the arrangement of the Barcelona city plan.

They ran away from the places where the houses were. Although Zack did not understand what happened at first, when he saw a semi-giant sized muscular and frowning figure walking towards the house they came out of, he was the one who attracted Toma this time. Toma must have found it funny because he giggled as Zachery ran ahead of him, of course pulling himself along with him as he left the area where the houses were.

Then Toma took the lead again. He dragged him through the trees and brought Zachery behind him, holding his spear straight out in front of him.

"Where are we? "Zack said as he looked towards the trees. Toma turned round and took a deep breath. When they finally came to a clearing, Toma sat down on the ground and wiped his sweat off with his hands. Zack did the same. His hands were sweaty from holding hands and running so much.

"We're in the forest. This is where my older brothers train, but these days the younger ones are trying to get into purple lightning and the older ones want to challenge the teachers to graduate. Could I have been wrong to bring you here?" Seeing Toma's grimace, Zack's heart sank.

"No! No! This place is too convenient. There may be occasions when we can only work for days at a time. That's why I said that, but whatever you want," Zack said. Then Toma ran quickly and brought a tent. Her face was a little red. She didn't realise that she had acted without thinking again while bringing the tent, but now she was too far away. She had already brought the tent and it would be a shame to take it back now.

"There is one tent set. I think we'll have to share. Is that a problem?" Zachery laughed at this question. He wanted to be as close to Toma as he could. What was the point of passing up such an opportunity?

But this laughter could give a very dark impression. And it did. Toma wrapped the light blue tent around himself and as her auburn hair spilled over it, she wondered if she had made a mistake coming here with Zachery.

But even that did nothing but increase her cuteness in Zachery's eyes.

"If it's okay with you, it's okay with me."

Toma started to set up the tent with a thoughtful expression. Zachery also helped her. When Toma saw how calm he was, she couldn't help pushing his thoughts in a good direction.

In half an hour they finished their work and started spear training.

Toma was swinging the spear. Zack was trying to correct her mistakes. This was not a normal spear. So Toma didn't know how to use it. Zachery was a little more experienced than her and was trying to help Toma in her training by forcing himself.

But Zachery was not a teacher who could match Toma's ability.

1 week passed. In 1 week Toma easily learnt how to use the spear. She learnt how to use normal spears

Having learnt how to use normal spears, she now had to work to be able to use a mana spear. Still, she continued to work with Zack. Even though they stayed in the same tent, they slept far away from each other.

It was not yet daylight. Zack and Toma were lying in the tent hugging each other. They both had a smile on their faces. Tonight they slept on both sides of the tent. But tonight they met in the middle. The smile on their faces did not seem to last long.

Who knows how they had become like this? Maybe a time traveller had pushed them together. Who knows?

"What is this soft thing?" said Zack. He hadn't opened his eyes yet.

That's why he couldn't realise that it was Toma he was hugging. His whole body was mesmerised by the pleasure of her soft skin touching his body. He had never felt like this in his life. Had he ever been this close to any woman except his mother?

Of course not! There were only a few centimetres between their heads. The intensity of the sound was much greater in that small space. Toma was not far from waking up either.

"Why do you sound so close?" said Toma. She hadn't opened her eyes yet either. When they both opened their eyes at the same time, their eyes met. Zack was wrapped around Toma's body. Toma stood with her hands on Zack's chest and her head on his chest. When Toma raised her head, the two came into eye contact.

The two, who could not understand what happened for a few seconds, immediately threw themselves back when they saw the position they were standing in. Looking at both of their faces, you could see how embarrassed they were. No, it wasn't just embarrassment. It was worse.

They both jumped up and tried to get out of the door of the tent, but they were both at similar speeds and crashed into each other and rolled on the ground, taking the tent with them. At last they were face to face again, but this time there were pieces of the tent between them.

"I-I... I-excuse me. I'm sorry," Zack said. He had turned his head away in shame and couldn't look Toma in the face.

"No! No! I'm sorry," Toma said.

"I'm the one who's sorry! I must be absolutely wrong!"

"No way! I'm the one who put my hands on your chest! Your hug must have been a mistake!"

They were both too understanding, but in the end they worked together and cut down the tent by crawling to the spear a few metres away. Soon they would need a new tent.

They decided to forget about today. But in the end neither of them could forget anything. They just ignored it. Not realising that they couldn't ignore their feelings so easily.

For 1 week, Toma and Zack practised. Toma had mastered the spear well enough. From now on, her skills would increase as she gained experience in battles. She was going to kill someone. There was no way around it. Their lifespan had already reached a thousand years. But would she never get to the second step? What happens when she lives 10,000 years?

Zack had reached the peak of blue lightning onset in a week. He was very close to reaching the intermediate stage. Toma had also reached the beginning peak, but she had only recently reached this level. With the parity between their spear abilities, it would be much easier for Zachery to defeat her.

Toma and Zack stood in a meditation position facing each other. They had agreed beforehand. They had decided to meditate for a while to increase their rank. When they closed their eyes, there was a small flow of air around them, but it was very short-lived. It was too small and insufficient to praise them.

Nevertheless, they were determined to be patient. Neither of them would return from here without becoming an expert. They had seen their competitors. They knew their own limitations. Unfortunately, they could not easily surpass them.

"Let's meditate until we reach the summit. Then we'd better go to the academy," Zack said. Toma nodded and they tried to separate their connection from this world.
