CHAPTER 1: THE STORE

As Camie ran through the store looking for snacks so as to trick her mother into buying them for her, she didn't notice him standing there all high and mighty. She just continued running and hit him head on stumbling backwards and she fell on the floor. The man's cold stare left her trembling.

"I.....I.....l'm s....s..oooooorrrry. Please don't hurt me.."she mumbled.

"Give me a good reason to let you go and I might just think about it," the man said with a lethal voice.

The people standing next to them felt cold chills run through their as they were very much aware of the demon standing in front of them. They began walking away, one by one and soon that section of the store only had him, his bodyguards and Camie.

"What's your name!" the man ordered.

Camie was too scared to talk and all she could do was to stare at the cold tiled white floor she was sitting on.

The man seemed to be getting irritated as it looked like he was talking to a statue. His veins started becoming visible on his forehead and his eyes grew dark.

"Young girl, I don't like repeating myself so I'm going to ask you one last time, what is your name!"he roared.

"Camela Bustamante, is her name. "a voice came from behind

him.

A young woman probably in her early twenties was walking towards him her head held high.

"And who the heck....."before he could finish, camie yelled 'mummy' and ran towards her.

She was so relieved that her mother had come to her rescue because she had no clue on how to deal with the man.

Camie was Isha's heart and soul and her reason for living. That fateful day, they had gone for their usual monthly mother-daugher dates. She was on her phone while looking at some utensils that would have looked good on her dining table. She didn't notice Camie walking away. Camie was a very curious girl. After her call ended, she turned around hoping to see Camie to ask her for her opinion on spices but didn't find her.

She walked around looking for her but couldn't see her and she began to panic. Before losing it, she heard two women speaking of a child who had just bumped into a demon tycoon. She quickly asked them the exact place of the incident and headed towards there.

On arrival, she found her daughter on the floor and the man was so close to Camie's face. She heard the man ask her daughter her name and seeing how terrified her daughter was, motherly instincts kicked in and she answered the question with some arrogance just so as not to be intimidated by him.

The man had a devilish smirk plastered on his face.

"Next time teach your child to not to go bumping into people..." but before he could finish, she butted in.

"And you tell your mother to teach you to be mature enough not to go around intimidating children!" she said before turning around and exiting the store
