289 What's With Him?

"What happened to him?" Selina threw a sharp glance at the direction where Antonio dashed out to and turned her attention to Jason.

"Beats me. I only mentioned that Lia probably already boarded her flight. Maybe he thinks he can still catch the flight with her or that she hasn't left yet." Jason shrugged, making his way to the bed. He took the wrinkled blanket and gently covered Selina's stomach with it.

Selina quickly smiled at the sight of her flat abdomen. She rubbed her tummy through the blanket. "Sorry, baby. Mommy got angry. Did mommy scare you? Mommy won't be angry like that again."

"You didn't just scare this baby. You scared the big one too." Jason pointed at himself, bringing his other hand forward to cover hers.

"Hahahaha. Yes. Yes. My family has two babies. One big baby and a small baby. Then, I am sorry for scaring our big baby." She wrinkled her nose and laughed merrily when she called him by his new nickname.

"That's it?" He acted pitiful in front of her, putting up a small pout.

"Pffft. What else do you want? I'm telling you, it is inappropriate to act certain ways in front of the small baby." She warned him carefreely, stretching her hand to his nose and pinched it lightly.

"Oh? Then, small baby just needs to cover his or her eyes. This big baby needs compensation." He chuckled, leaning his body forward. As the distance between them closed, he covered her eyes and lightly pecked her soft, sweet lips. Earlier, he noticed her licking the fruit juice off her lips. Only lord knows how hard he restrained himself from kissing her.

Ever since Selina had been admitted to the hospital, Jason turned his phone on silent mode. Meanwhile, her phone ran out of battery in her purse. Hence, both of them were unaware of the arrest of hijackers for a certain flight.

The news of the hijackers from a recent flight widespread like fire. Everyone commented on social media and forwarded the article to other platforms. Antonio, on the other hand, only took a look at one of the pictures in the most recent update. He clicked his tongue in annoyance as he waited for his call to get through to the other party.

"Chief Officer Mon, it's been a while. I saw the news about the hijackers who were sent over to you. I am not asking you to release them. Can you allow me to interrogate them for ten minutes? Just this once. There is someone I am looking for right now and these people are involved in her disappearance."

While speaking on the phone, Antonio was already on his way to the police station where the group of hijackers were locked up at. Along the ride, he had already received permission from Chief Officer Mon. Therefore, all he had to do was to drive there and see those men.

When he reached the police station, he met Chief Officer Mon at the entrance. He solemnly saluted at him. "Chief Officer Mon, thank you for accepting my request. I also want to inquire about the passengers who were on that flight. I know that the flight was cancelled after the chaotic case with the hijackers. I am looking for someone who should be on this flight."

Chief Officer Mon listened attentively before responding to him. "I have a list of passenger names who boarded that flight. Give me the name of the person you are looking for, and I will check the passengers for you. You only have ten minutes to interrogate the men we arrested, so you should hurry and use your time appropriately."

Under Chief Officer Mon's guidance, Antonio followed him into a room where files related to the group of arrested hijackers were spread out on the table. Chief Officer Mon urged him to step forward and pick one file out of the group.

At first glance, Antonio failed to recognize most of the faces on these documents. He took his time observing the facial features of each person in the files and finally paused at one document. "This dude." Antonio picked the document up in his hand and handed it over.

"Okay. Remember, you have exactly ten minutes. Please refrain from having any physical interactions with him. If things get out of control within the ten minutes you are inside, my subordinates will have to bring him away." Chief Officer Mon reminded Antonio once more before leading the way to an investigation room.

"Understood." Antonio replied as he followed Chief Officer Mon's hand gesture and walked into the room.

Inside the small space, the suspected hijacker sat with his arm dangling on the back of the chair. His crossed legs with a sly smile sitting on his scarred face as if he had expected Antonio's appearance. His carefreeness made Antonio's tighten his knuckles until it turned white.

"Well if it isn't our young master Antonio, who never lays a finger on any human beings like a saint. What brings you here to visit me? Ah, could it be for Lia, the traitor?" The man said sarcastically, eyeing the closed door in the process.

"Shut your trap. Since you know I am here for Lia, you know what to say and what to not say. Do not provoke me." Antonio attempted to hide the conflicting emotions in his eyes, but it failed to escape the man's sharp instincts.

"Ah, are you asking where her corpse is? As master's son, you sure are filial. After all, she was a traitor who was so useless that she couldn't complete one mission without causing others trouble. All along, she only wished to climb your bed and fall in love like those overrated fairytales." The man leaned his weight against the back of the chair, swaying back and forth.

"Where is she?" Antonio asked, he said menacingly.

"Oh! Sorry, or are you here to ask about how much blood squirted out of her body when our daggers stabbed in and out of her flesh? Or-" Before the man could finish his next sentence, Antonio reached for the man's collar and pulled him close to the table's edge.

"Quit going around in circles. I am asking you, where is she?" Antonio finally lost his composure.

"Everything comes with a price. Did you think you can get information out of me this easily?" The man moistened his chapped lips with the tip of his tongue.
