223 Kyla's Anger 1

"Isaac, do you really think saying that you were busy and dealing with businesses really sound like it is a logical reason to ignore me for weeks? After coming home, you decided to make food to call a truce with me. But Isaac, did you know how simple sending me a few texts between breaks or right before you sleep could be? Even a morning greeting would've been fine with me. At least I would know that you were alright. But you didn't reply."

"Until I asked, you were doing whatever you felt like doing. If I didn't bring this up, you would've swept it under the rug and pretend nothing ever happened. I don't have any appetite. If you're hungry, then eat the food yourself." In fact, Kyla didn't even have the energy to fight with him anymore. She only wanted to get away from the food because it was making her nauseous. Plus, she was upset with his behavior.

Isaac sighed, stood up with the bowl of food in his hand, and tightened the grip around the bowl. Out of frustration, he placed the bowl loudly against the table surface. He turned around to face Kyla and expressed his thoughts.

"Kyla, I've already apologized. What else do you want for you to forgive me? I have to work and meet people every day. When I come home, I only want to relax and find a comfortable spot to let all my stress go. I honestly feel tired. Coaxing you is fine, but it gets tiring sometimes as well." After speaking, he walked into the master bedroom and closed the door. When he walked away, he didn't see the tears in Kyla's eyes. She lowered her head and closed her eyes until she heard the door closing sound. Her heart tightened, but she didn't mutter out a cry.

Taking a notepad and a pen in her hand, she scribbled some words. After a few weeks of barely consuming much food, the engagement ring on her finger has loosened its grip on her finger. With little effort, she removed the ring from her finger and left it on top of the note. After staring at the ovular diamond ring, she exhaled a whimpered sigh. She took her phone, turned off her GPS sharing location, and exited the apartment.

Since Isaac's phone was left in his blazer, he didn't know she had turned off her shared location. It wasn't until hours later that he came out to an empty apartment and untouched dishes. He wanted to calm down earlier and separated from her. Perhaps he was tired, and his body wasn't adapted to the time difference, he fell asleep on their bed.

Hours later, he walked out calling Kyla's name. At first, he thought she was still angry, so she didn't respond to him. However, he realized something was amiss and noticed the note she left on the table with her engagement ring. On the note: "Since you're tired of coaxing me, then don't coax me anymore. Don't have to see me anymore either."

Isaac scratched his head, remembering the words he had spouted out earlier. He smacked his forehead and searched for his phone. Then, he saw the notifications he had missed from Jason and Selina along with the deactivated GPS location text message. His phone was on do not disturb mode and didn't ring whenever someone called. The messages he received were delivered around four hours ago. After scrolling through the messages, he knew he had messed up and said words he couldn't take back.

He also understood Kyla's personality clearly. Though she was mischievous, she would never joke around about relationships. There was a time when he accidentally joked about it and she was angry at him for a month. Now that he has misspoken and caused a huge misunderstanding between them, he needed to find a way to bring her back home.

At the same time in Hui residence, Jason worriedly paced back and forth in the living room. Every other minute, his sight would land on his closed bedroom door. He could still remember the dispirited sorrowful expression Kyla had on her face when she greeted them.

A little over three hours ago, Kyla arrived at Hui residence. She had taken her car, not knowing where to go. In the end, she drove to Hui residence. Tears rushed to the surface of her eyes, moisturizing them. She looked like she lost weight and the energy around her was definitely not positive.

Her lips pressed tightly closed and her head lowered slightly. Her body was trembling as she gripped her left wrist rough enough for Selina to stop her. Although she didn't speak, her following actions expressed her suffering. She looked at Selina, whose face looked deeply concerned. Once Selina asked her what happened, Kyla's tears dripped down her cheeks.

A few sniffles escaped her nose, and she wrapped her arms around Selina. In a raspy breathless heartbroken voice, Kyla whispered. "He's tired of me...then he doesn't need to coax me anymore. I don't need it...I don't..."

Selina patted her back and signaled Jason to not say anything. As soon as Kyla was comforted enough to talk in teh master bedroom, Selina gave Jason hand signals to inform Isaac about her whereabouts.

Once they were in the master bedroom, Selina called Jessica, Celinda, and Yi Wei to ask them to gather at her home again. In addition to the fact that they were her closest friends, Selina contacted them because Isaac didn't reply to any of her messages about Kyla. She was frustrated to the point where she wanted to reach into her phone screen and drag Isaac through his phone to teleport him to her room. Since she couldn't do that, she could only rely on three other people to join her in lending their laps for Kyla to cry on.
