281 Get Rid Of Her

"Yes, Master Liam. Lia just boarded her flight." The shadow guard reported to Master Liam. After taking the milk tea to the lab, he had his suspicions on Lia's behavior. While he waited for the lab results to come out, he sent his men to follow Lia closely.

Around an hour ago, they tracked Lia's location and managed to follow her to the airport. With some hacking involved, they found out her new identity through the computer scans.

Master Liam scoffed on the other end of the line. "Get rid of her. Even if the lab results showed that the black pill was added to the drink, she decided to betray me. She doesn't need to live anymore. Remember to do your job right on the plane. You know which seat she is sitting at. I'll make sure you and your men get out of jail with no sentence if you complete this mission spotlessly."

"Understood." The shadow guard ended the call. He quickly texted instructions to his men, and they proceeded with their plan. Once the plane flies, there is no place for Lia to run. Today is her death date.

The shadow guard and his men snuck onto the plane. The moment the ascending plane is at a steady pace, the shadow guard and his team made their move. After locating Lia's seat on the plane, they roamed down the narrowed path and sprayed chloroform at the other passengers.

"Seat 45B...Found you, Lia." The shadow guard grinned as he approached the seat. Raising the dagger in his hand, he swung his arm downwards at one seat. However, his arm halted midway.

"Leader, what's wrong? We don't have much time." One of his underlings whispered.

"She's not Lia. Quick! Go search this plane for Lia. This woman is not Lia. It's only the outfit that is similar! See if she switched places with anyone! Go!" Under his command, his underlings started looking around for Lia. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain.

In a separate plane, Lia's back leaned against the back of her seat. A smirk rose on her face. She parted the opening of her purse slightly and two passports could be seen. Earlier, when Number 1 and 2 handed her the identity documents, Number 2 slipped a note into her hand.

Lia closed her eyes as she remembered what the note said. 'Boss, Just in case those bastards decide to make a move on you when you board the flight, we created an extra identity. I have already used a face skin to check in at the counter at the airport a while ago. It's in your bag. The boarding time is the same as the flight for the other identity. I've arranged one of our people to wear your outfit to distract them. This is all we can do for you. Stay safe.'

At the moment, on the other plane, the shadow guard and his team were ambushed by underlings sent by Number 1 and 2. While the shadow guard and his people were searching for Lia, they failed to notice the few people who had their faces covered.

With the daggers and weapons in the shadow guard's possession, the staff in the plane had enough evidence to suspect that they were hijackers. Hence, the plane alerted the nearest airport that could provide immediate backup.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Selina awakened to find herself surrounded by familiar faces. Jason smiled when he saw her eyes open, seemingly confused about her surrounding.

"You're awake. We're at the hospital right now. You collapsed at your office earlier from stomach pain." He explained the details clearly and slowly for her to process. She vaguely remembered hearing a lot of voices before she fell unconscious.

When she recalled how Lia helped her in the bathroom, Selina frantically sat up on the bed. "Where's Lia? She was with me before you came. Is she alright?"

"Dear, shouldn't you be caring about your own health first? Do you know why you collapsed? Do you know how special your condition is right now that you should be taking care of your own diet before others?" Rosanna frowned helplessly at her daughter who only showed concern for others before herself. She was already resting in the hospital, yet this child asked about her own assistant.

"I know. You guys just told me I drank regular milk, which led to my stomach cramps. I don't feel any pain anymore, so I'm fine. What is special about my condition? Isn't it just being bloated and having abdominal pain? I have this during my menstrual cycle. It's not as important as Lia." Selina scanned around the room once again to make sure she did not miss any faces in front of her. When she failed to see Lia, her frown became more obvious.

"Honey, you can't get out of bed yet." Jason quickly reached out to stop Selina from getting off the bed.

"Why?" She read the weird smiles everyone was giving her. Only Antonio seemed absentminded behind the whole crowd.

"Listen carefully, wifey. When you were admitted to the hospital, the doctors gave you a thorough examination. You are pregnant. You have our baby right here, but the baby is too young for you to notice any changes in your body." Jason held her right hand gently and brought her palm to her lower abdomen.

"Huh...? But I have my period...." Selina blinked a few times.

"The doctors said it is common to have small traces of bleeding during the beginning of pregnancy. To make sure our baby and you are safe and healthy, you need to stay in the hospital for a few more days. Listen to the doctors, okay?" Jason's bright smile brought Selina back to reality.

She lowered her gaze and stroked her abdomen while Jason's hand covered hers. "I..I'm pregnant? Really?" Her eyes turned red, sourness reaching the tip of her nose.

"Yes. We are going to be someone's mommy and daddy. Thank you, my dear wife." Jason laughed goofily while caressing Selina's cheek. He leaned forward to her forehead. At the center of her forehead, he planted a gentle kiss. He whispered once again, "Thank you, wife."
