"Selina!!" Katrina screamed hysterically as another car approached the driving lot.

"Mom! Why are you crying like this?" Bryan, Selina's older brother hopped out of the car and wrapped his arms around her to console her. She trembled vigorously and stuttered as she pulled him to his car.

"H..Hurry! Follow after Selina! She's going to hurt herself! Hurry!!" She limped to the passenger side and quickly stepped into the vehicle. Hearing her distressed voice, he immediately caught on in action and drove off.

Before going overseas for two years, Bryan and Selina have always had a close relationship. With the GPS sharing location setting, Bryan managed to tail after Selina. "Where is she going?!"

"She's going towards the bridge. Sit tight, mom. I'm going full speed."

At the same time, a well-dressed assistant stood in front of his boss with a poker face. He was reporting updates about an ongoing investigation related to an incident from many years ago. As they reached the end of the summarized report, the young assistant pushed his glasses up his nose bridge.

"Mister Hui, after multiple investigations, we've confirmed that the girl you've been searching for is Selina Gu. Would you like me to send guards to invite her over for dinner?" Looking at the time on his watch, Aaron calculated that they were ten minutes away from landing.

"I don't want to scare her, so don't make reckless moves. After this long, I finally found her. I can't let anything go wrong between us. After we get off, have someone report to me about her whereabouts. I'll go to greet her myself." Jason Hui leaned back on his chair as Aaron continued making important announcements to him.

Once the private jet has safely landed, Aaron gave the guards a call. A deep frown appeared, "Got it. Keep close on stand-by."

"Mister Hui, Miss. Gu is standing at the edge of the bridge. It looks like she wants to jump down from the W Bridge."

"Get all essential medical staff to and below the bridge. Have all safe guards active on duty and wait for further instructions. We're going there right now." Jason rushed to his car where he took over the driver's seat. Right after Aaron hopped into the passenger seat, his back slammed against the leather seat.

"B..B..boss!! You're speeding soooo owaahhh!!" Aaron held onto the roof handle by his seat with closed eyes. He didn't dare speak another word after seeing how urgent the situation was. 'Boss is going 400 miles per hour..I'm going to die! Definitely die before I get to eat dinner with my mom! Mom, don't miss me after this!'

Walking barefoot along the edge of the bridge, Selina's fair skin made her lips appear paler than the white clouds in the sky. Her eyes wandered tiringly as if she was looking for an escape route. Standing still, she let the wind embrace her petite body. Though it was chilly, it still felt warmer than the heartless people who hurt her.

Closing her eyes, the breezes strengthened as it blew towards her face as if it wanted to carry her back to safety. Listening closely, she could hear it whisper comfort to her ears. As the sound of waves crashed against other waves, she suddenly felt very peaceful and relaxed. 'How nice. Soon, I won't have to think about anything anymore.'

"Selina!" Her eyelids lifted up slowly as it picked up the familiar voice. Turning her head to the side, she saw the face she missed for the last two years. However, his worried expression did not produce any changes in the hopelessness she felt.

"Brother.." She whispered softly.

"Selina, my precious little sister. You've been a good girl and always listened to us. Be good and come back. It's dangerous there. You don't know how to swim. There's nothing we can't solve together. Are you upset about something? Talk to me about it. I'll listen to you. Did someone bully you? Brother will protect you. I won't let anyone hurt you again." Extending out his hand steadily, he made small steps towards her.

"Brother, I really wish I could go back, but I can't anymore. Between those people and me, brother can't do anything about it. I'm very tired. I don't have the energy to look forward to another day because even an extra second makes it painful to breathe." Facing her brother, she clenched on her wounded chest.

Seeing the scarlet dyed blouse, his eyes widened. "Was it Peter Sin? Did he bully you? I'll go to beat him up and make him apologize. Don't make another step. Don't jump, please. Didn't you ask me to come back for your birthday? I'm here. I've emptied my schedule just for you. Please, don't do this. Mom will be heartbroken."

Knowing Katrina was Selina's weakness, he thought it would help the situation. When he mentioned about Katrina, her eyes landed on the cold-hearted woman who had turned her world upside down. Katrina burst out in tears while sobbing loudly. "Selina! It's mother's fault. Please, don't jump. I know I did wrong. I beg you, come back. Don't make another step."

A sarcastic laugh escaped Selina's mouth as she let one hand release from the rail she was holding onto. "After this, I don't have to shed another tear. I didn't lose anyone. It is you, who lost me. I'm just a chess move, nothing more. This kind of game called life is very fragile and complicated. I don't have the stakes to play and don't want to either."

"What chess move? What stakes? Selina, listen to me. Calm down and take a deep breath. Even if the sky falls, you have this family by your side." His words pricked her heart even worse than the wound.

Revealing a hopeless smile with a pair of defeated eyes, she mouthed. "I'm sorry, brother..If there's a second time, I will still want to be your younger sister. But this time, it really hurts. I can't forget. So, this time..let me put myself first."

The fingers of her other hand loosened from the rail and gave her body a small push forward. Half way down the fall, a small smile curved on her lips. 'I can finally be free..from pain..'

"Selina!!!!" Bryan and Katrina screamed as they watched her figure dive into the cold, icy water below. From afar, Jason had already run over to the life guards and sent all his resources out to the waters.

"Quick! Search for her! We must find her!" Jason took off his jacket as he prepared himself to dive into the water to join the search.
