Of course, I would suggest filling your stomach before you proceed with your journey when you have your fill I would suggest moving west from your current location as it is the fastes way to the outskirts of the forest.

I look over to the corpse of my kill it looks even more demonic now with gray matter spilling out of the skull and one of its eyes popping out. I can't eat that no way in hell am I putting my mouth anywhere near that thing.

Correct it is not edible for normal people but do to our ability the effects of the corruption will be altered and given in a form of a debuff hence it is completely safe for us to eat it in small portions.

The system makes sense but I am still human I can't bring myself to eat that disgusting creature. I know I am being stupid and it is probably going to bite me in the a*s later but I just can't bring myself to do it

The debuff for the status effect [Starving] is worse than the debuff you will get from eating it if that is your concern if it is the look of your food please be advised that it tastes like chicken

I analysed the systems sentence i know I am in a dangerous place full of monstes being picky isn't a option now I can't be weak I must survive .

Only the legs of the turtle are generally eaten and there is no need to worry about the shell as this creature is in the middle stage of corruption meaning that most of its bones are extremely weak it is a very high possibility that you are able to break the shell with a rock.

While I am reading the systems answer I start looking over the corpse more attentively I put my hand on its shell and push with all of my strength.

As i push the shell i can hear the sound of it straining hence I can see that it is possible to break the shell as it is very brittle but there is no point in breaking it .
"It is to brittle I can't use it for armor I rather not spend more energy breaking it. So do I just dig in?"

Understandable and Yes we only need to bite pieces out of the creatures legs I will also like to suggest packing extra pieces in your inventory for the journey and to get covered in the creatures blood to cover your scent to stop uncorrupted creatures from getting near you.

I will do as the system advises, I get on my knees and pull the leg of the turtle it is thick and very heavy and it smells, I start to bring my mouth to the leg but hesitate thinking 'do I really need to eat this ' but the hesitation finally stops and I take a bite the meat is very tough I can barely even tear a piece off and when I finally swallow the taste of the meat is horrible it tastes like spoiled milk I can barely stomach the taste of blood in my mouth the feeling of throwing up is welling inside me but after a couple of seconds the feeling passes and I get system notifications

When the my system messages finished I took another bite this time it was easier to tear the meat off but even tho it is easier it is still disgusting but I need to fill my stomach , losing 15% of my stats is bad but I don't want to find out how the debuff when I am starving works

When I finished eating my fill I started biting out pieces of meat and putting the pieces in my inventory I just need to think about storing it and it disappears but I can still feel that it is just outside my reach I only need to reach out my imaginary hand and it appears.
When I finished storing as much meat , as I can there was only bones left and most of the bones cracked when I was biting the meat off
I felt disgusting at what I have done I know it was needed and I know that I needed to do that to survive but it didn't make me feel any less disgusted at myself .
"West now right ?" I asked as I got up and started walking

"Good at least that is one less thing to worry about " I answer as I start jogging in about a few seconds I was again in the dark so I slow down my pace but I don't stop I need to get out
