Mia threw her friend a killer glare before watching her steps, she was still staggering. Stephanie stared at her friend for a while thinking about the action she was about to take. Should she go ahead and ask Mia? 

"Can I ask you a question?" Stephanie uttered when they reached the bus station. 

"It's about Gabe?" Mia knew but she asked.

"What if he misses you?" 

"What if?" Mia turned to Stephanie.

Stephanie mumbled. "Hans and Lucian told me that ever since both of you stopped talking, he hadn't been the fun Gabe he was. He prefers to stay alone and play games all night instead of sleeping."

Mia, after listening, stared into space, wondering if it was really because of her. No, it can't be because of her. It would probably be because he lost the game in a few weeks.

"I hate what-ifs," she looked away.

"You miss him too."
