I let go

Under the uncomfortable weather where the sun keeps finding a way to hit her hard on the face and body, she searched around for the girl. Isabella had had that girl in mind since the day she saw her begging for a living and now that she had succeeded in what she knew was bad but still had to, she needed to share her blessing with the little girl. She couldn't offer a house but some money would help in some way. That was what she had in mind ever since she settled in the taxi and now there was no sign of the little girl which was kind of disheartening.

Soon, a lady in her 50s which was obviously written on her face came to join her. "Good day, ma'am," Isabella noticed her presence and showed her respect.

"Bless you, my child," the woman acted not her age, more like older. Seemed she loved the way things goes in the olden days and not like now where everything is more like a disaster.

Disease everywhere and there. "Thank you, ma'am," with a forced smile, Isabella answered as she was kind of uncomfortable being unable to find the little girl.

"Looking for Juliana?" The lady asked.

"Huh?" Confusion was the word.

"The little girl who begs here on this spot," the lady clarified.

"Yes! You know her?" Isabella seemed to be more excited than the little girl when the lady helped her instead.

"I sent her to an orphanage and now she already has parents, she's too cute not to have parents."

For a moment, Isabella wondered how the lady knew. "Have you been helping her?"

"No, no, I saw you helping her and then I realized how cute she was so I immediately took her to the orphanage. Her parents arrived today to take her. I was informed."

"I..." Stammering, Isabella tried to put words together. "I'm speechless but thank you so much for helping her, she was helpless and I couldn't help but wonder how it would..." She suddenly felt as if she was expressing too much. "I'm sorry," she chuckled.

"No, I like you that way. I'm impressed by your kindness. Many pass by without helping but you helped and I was captured. You have such a good heart and I adore that a lot."

Her statement made Isabella short of words. "I...thank you, ma'am, for also taking care of... Juliana. I have to go to my sister now. Please pardon me," Isabella announced her departure before taking a step but the lady grabbed her attention again.

"May I have your number?" It was kind of weird to ask for her contact because there was nothing they shared. No particular reason for her to have her number.

Isabella looked at her cell phone and then at the lady. After a moment of deciding she let her number to the lady and soon find her way to the hospital.

Isabella paid for her sister's medical bills and went to her sister to visit her again. The doctor had told her that they'll inform her about the scheduled date for her sister's surgery and it was such a big relief to Isabella because now, her sister won't settle in danger anymore.

Her sister would be saved. This made the smile on her face expand more. She didn't work for the money but she played the game and took her part of the deal by giving something in return.

Even the money she collected from him wasn't worth it, it was too much but her virginity was expensive was what she used to make herself feel less guilty.

Sitting next to her sister, she rubbed her hand and continued to smile brightly. "How are you?" She asked quietly.

"You seem happy," her sister wanted to sit but Isabella helped her to at least rest on the pillow.

"Yes, I paid your bills and now we have no fear!" The happiness on her sister's face made her so worried. Hannah knew there was no hope for her, even the doctors knew but they keep forcing her to live.

Disclosing it to her sister will hurt her, so she only stayed quiet. But wait, where did she get the money to pay her bills? "How?" Still, with all the strength she possessed, she asked her sister, Isabella.

"I'll tell you if you promise not to make a big deal out of it," it was more like a condition to her sister. Isabella knew her sister would want to flare up the moment she found out she had a one-night stand with a stranger just to raise the money for her treatment.

"I can't promise, you know that."

Isabella's sister's face was still pale and her expression was so weak causing her to suddenly frown. She didn't want to hide it from her sisters so telling them was the right thing to do.

"I let go of my virginity," silently with her head down, Isabella confessed. "I know I did wrong but losing my virginity is better than losing you, I cannot lose you!" Raising her head, she stated her reason but her sister's expression was unreadable. Isabella wanted to hear from her sister so she stared at her sister's lips but no words were uttered.

"I know, just say I did wrong and scold me but I just... cannot lose you, you have done so much for me and letting you die...I can't..." However, Hannah cut her off by her statement.

"I'm sorry."

It was surprising to see her sister burst into tears. "I'm really sorry, really sorry," pressing her head down. Hannah cried which was shortening her breath. She now began to find it hard to breathe.

"I'm sorry for being such a burden," with a grimaced face, making her look dead, she cried.

"No, no," desperation was the word for Isabella's reaction to the situation. "No...no, it was my turn to sacrifice and I don't regret it, trust me. Don't blame yourself, Hannah. I wanted to, please don't blame yourself, please..."

The scene suddenly turned sorrowful, with sisters feeling sorry for themselves because they were too poor to cater for each other.
