80. A visit to his mother

Gloria glanced at her son who was immersed in drawing. He looked so serious and then she thought it herself. It was about time she allowed her son to know more about his father. 

She returned her gaze to Lucian who was drinking from the can. "I think we should visit her before the funeral. That way she'd know about me and her grandchild, right?" 

Lucian placed his hand on her head and assured her with his face. "Don't worry, my Mom is going to like you." 

"I don't know," Gloria lowered her gaze. "I feel like she wouldn't like me. She didn't in the past and I'm not educated as well. I'd bring nothing to the company and…" 

"Shh," Lucian cut her off. "You are the mother of my child and the owner of my heart. She has to like you," Lucian said and brought Gloria into his arms. "Everything is going to be fine," he said behind her. 

Gloria nodded her head and hugged him tightly.
