15 We meet again

She went to a grassy field with a canopy of clear white lace, hung on glass columns. There were masseurs, spa treatments, maids and more. She just chose a manicure.

Just then something caught her eyes, a very handsome, well built masseur, a Wathamban descendant. He was working on a supermodel who was pleased to have him.

She frowned and walked towards him. She dragged him away without caring about what the woman had to say.

"Selasi, what are you doing here?!"

"His Majesty said I should keep an eye on you."

"I said no guards!"

"Sorry but you can't get rid of me."

She frowned at his smirk.

"Uh hello! Give me my masseur back!", The woman said.

"Buzz off weirdo, I know why you want him."

"Ugh!"

She raised her hand to slap Luna then Luna caught it, twisted it then said in a low tone,"Try that again and I'll snap your hand like a twig."

The woman left, intimidated.

"Hmm, first day and already making friends.", He said sarcastically.

"Don't change the subject… you can't be here!"

"Why not?"

"You have a tribal mark, they will easily tell you are a Wathamban."

"Well then it's a scar."

"From what? Lion wrestling? Look… I just don't want you to get hurt."

"I wouldn't get hurt Luna.", He said cupping her cheek.

She looked away.

"Just stay safe."

"You did not just tell an imperial guard to stay safe."

"I did, what are you going to do about it?", She said looking into his gold rimmed eyes.

He looked back into hers then smirked.

She couldn't keep looking then looked away, he chuckled.

"Ugh you're so annoying!", She said, trying to hit his chest.

He easily caught her hand.

"You won't even let me hit you!"

"Nope. Also, everyone has been looking at us for several minutes."

She looked back then frowned and walked away.

The palace map led her to her gigantic room, it was bigger than the hotel room. There was one of those fountains in the aquarium. She lay on her bed, missing her own home. She then went over the rules again.

#1All maidens begin with a hundred points.

#2Points are awarded every time a maiden passes a test and are deducted when she fails.

#3When a maiden gets to zero points, she is immediately disqualified.

#4There would be no unruly behavior in the palace grounds.

#5Tests may come at unexpected times so one has to always be prepared.

#6There are days on which there would be no tests, on those days one is allowed to go anywhere they please.

She then tasked herself with finding out how the fountain worked. Just as she saw the unusual shimmer…

"Ugh, what is that smell?!"

"Girl, it's a negro. Look at her, she thinks she has a chance."

Luna looked and they were stunned and doubted they themselves had a chance.

Luna just ignored the twins. There were three beds in the room.
