Chapter 1 - First Meeting
The bell rang, announcing the end of the day for everyone and an indescribable feeling rose in her heart. "Is this what people called it the feeling of 'heavy hearted'?" She wondered.
She watch the children streaming out the school gates in groups, she turned back to her packing and clearing of the desk that had held many memories for the past two years. Placing each heart felt letter from her students into the box as each and every one of it was her prized posession.
Just beside, he just looked on at her. feeling the unwillingness to part. Knowing that she is moving on towards a better future, he can't help but need to let her go.
"Hey An Fei, what is taking you so long? The others are already ready."
"Lin Jingren can't you see I am still packing?"
Brrr.... Brrr....
Turning her head, she looked at her phone seeing that it was a message was from her family Butler Chu she opened it immediately.
"Miss, we have arranged for a car to get you back to the residence. The Old Master is not feeling well. the car will arrive in 10 mins time."
"Lin Jingren, I have to cancel. My grandfather is not feeling well and someone is on the way over to pick me up. Tell the others I'm sorry." She started grabbing her stuff and throw it into the box infront of her in a hurry. Anything that is not going into the box went into her bag.
"Is he alright?"
"I'm not sure yet. I only received the message telling me to go home immediately. Usually messages like this don't come for no reason."
"Yeah. I think so too. I'll help you to carry your stuff down." Grabbing the box, he started walking towards the door.
Grabbing her bag and the Teddy Bear that was given by her students, she ran towards his back. She couldn't stop herself from looking back towards her desk. With a heavy heart, she closed the door and rush towards Lin Jingren and they both walk towards the gates.
At the gate, a red sports car just pulled over.
10 mins before
The driver received a call that was very disturbing to him. "Sir, the old master just collapsed. He told me to call you if anything happens."
"He was fine when I left last evening. Butler Chu, what happen to Grandfather Shen?" He put aside the documents on hand and was reaching for his keys.
"Sir, we are not sure either. I have called for Doctor Wayne and he is already with Master for the past 10 mins and there is no updates at this point of time but you know-"
"Keep me posted. I'm on my way over." Anxiously, he cut Butler Chu off.
"Sir, wait! Don't hang up!"
"Hurry up Butler Chu, you are wasting my time here." He was getting frustrated just hearing this long winded Butler Chu. He stride out of his office knowing his personal assistant is following behind him towards the elevator.
"Sir, our driver is had an emergency at home so he has left for the day. May I trouble you to pick out our little Miss on your way back?"
"Where is she now?"
"Xin Yue High School. She is our Master's favourite. It would be-"
"What's her name again?"
"Our little miss is Miss An Fei. I think-"
"Ok." Hurriedly he hang up the call as he step into the elevator.
"Wang Hao, cancel all my appointments for today. Tell them that there has been an emergency."
"Family Emergency? Sir, what -"
Not replying, the door closed and shutting him off.
