14 Chapter 14

The next day after breakfast, I teleported to the bottom of the sea to my mark, having previously created a cover that was supposed to protect me from the huge thickness of water and pressure. Still, the bottom was at a depth of 400 meters.

'Hmm… What is this?' - I thought as I found myself at the bottom of the sea.

A few hundred meters from my place of arrival, I saw some kind of silhouette that did not fit the seabed at all. It looks like it was some kind of building or structure. It's seems I accidentally discovered a sunken city or something.

Apparently, because of yesterday's storm and the raging sea, I did not notice anything. Although, most likely, I simply did not pay attention to the environment, as I was in a hurry. In general, it is surprising that I noticed this building.

Although the sea is transparent, it is dark at such a depth, and the city is quite far away. It looks like I found another change in my body, and now I can see in the dark. Nice, what more can I say.

Having swum a little closer, I was convinced that this was a small sunken city. The buildings were made in ancient architecture and it looked like some ancient Greek city. Judging by the state of the city, it sank not a single century ago, but still very well preserved.

You could see marble buildings of various shapes, a preserved paved road, various fountains and sculptures, very beautiful. It's not hard to imagine what this city was like, when he was on the surface and it really is very reminiscent of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. At least so, they represent all this in modern times.

Apparently, once there was an island above this place, which sank to the bottom of the sea along with this city. Such a local Atlantis.

I was very fascinated by the exploration of this underwater city and I completely forgot why I teleported here at all. But, in fact, it does not matter, because I have a lot of time and in such places you can usually find some kind of lost treasure. It would be nice to find at least gold.

Having decided this, I continued to explore the whole city, visiting all the houses, which were surprisingly still quite strong, and looking for something interesting. There were no bodies or skeletons in the city, but there were various personal items in the residential buildings, such as clothes, furniture, utensils, and so on. True, all this practically dissolved into dust due to a long stay under water.

I think when the island began to go under water, perhaps due to an earthquake or a volcanic eruption, the inhabitants managed to evacuate, but saving their lives, they left their things behind. Unfortunately, it seemed to be a completely ordinary city, and I didn't find anything out of the ordinary.

There was one building that looked like a library and there were even some surviving books, but from one touch they literally dissolved. Thanks to a few spells that I used prematurely, I managed to save two books. Well, like books, real Talmuds for a couple of thousand pages.

Judging by the inscription on the spine, they were in a language unknown to me, quite possibly ancient. While I put these books in the ring, and later, when there is time, I will try to restore them or transfer them to a new paper, and later translate them. Maybe I'll find something interesting.

I did not find anything else of interest, except perhaps a few bars of gold and some light silvery metal, as well as many gems and Lacrimas. All this was in the largest building, more like a mini-palace, which I left the search for last. Most likely it was a review of some nobleman or head of the city, so, as expected, there were valuables.

With difficulty, but I discovered the treasure vault, which was in the basement. It turned out to open it without problems and I found the above-mentioned treasures there. There were not too many in total, but I think I will get 20-30 million ones. It's good, but it's very quickly my money is gone.

Only, I don't understood that way, what kind of metal ingots, it doesn't look like silver and platinum, maybe it's some kind of local magical metal, who the hell knows. Then I will find out from knowledgeable people.

This house was the last one I checked, so making sure I didn't miss anything interesting, I was about to surface and fly further to Fiore when I noticed a strange distortion on the top of an underwater hill that was not far from the city.

My intuition told me that this was not easy, so I moved towards the hill. Everything was fine until I crashed into something invisible and incredibly strong, which also attacked my barrier when touched. It's good that I had enough attention to keep him. It was dangerous.

It seems that the entire hill was covered with an invisible barrier, which also attacked the one who tried to break through it. And despite the fact that the whole city has been under water for more than a century, it still works. Marvelous

- 'Light Ècriture: Truth'. - I cast a spell and directed it at the barrier.

Destroying it is stupid not knowing what is inside, but I really want to see what it hides. The spell worked and the illusion that made it look like it was a simple hill fell asleep and a real picture appeared that was hiding behind the barrier.

And it seems that the barrier also protected the territory from water, since it was dry and there was air. At the top of the hill stood a large building similar to the Parthenon, made of white marble. It looks like some kind of temple.

Since I could see what was on the other side, I could easily teleport there. The barrier failed to stop the teleportation and it remained intact, which is good, as it would be a hassle if it disappeared and the entire water column crushed the temple.

Finally out in the fresh air, I canceled my barrier and the spell that oxygen created, so that I can breathe comfortably underwater. I immediately went to the temple as I was eager to see what I could find interesting there.

Although, I remained vigilant, since there could be traps there, because since there is such a dangerous and powerful barrier, the presence of traps is not surprising. Although, my caution turned out to be unnecessary, since there was nothing of the kind. But there were treasures.

Lots of treasures. Mountains of gold, silver, precious stones, various jewelry, decorative weapons and so on. The entire floor was literally littered with everything that can be considered valuables. The area of the inner space of the temple was the size of three football fields and all this space was littered with mountains of treasures. The real storage of Scrooge McDuck, downright.

And in the center of the temple was a huge statue of some kind of deity, most likely the sea, because he had a trident in his hand. Perhaps this is the local Neptune or Poseidon.

And right in front of the statue there were several pedestals on which lay various things, most likely the most valuable in the entire temple. First, after making sure with the help of spells whether there were any physical or magical traps, I went to the pedestals and carefully examined all the things.

On the first pedestal was a mannequin, which was wearing a very cool armor. It was light knightly armor for the whole body. It was silver in color and had many designs in blue with a dozen Lacrimas inlaid into the armor.

There was a tablet on the pedestal in an unknown language, but with the help of a translation spell, I was able to find out what was written there. And the name of the armor itself was written - "Armor of the King of the Seas." Pretty resonant name.

I'm wondering how good this armor is and what abilities it has. But even now I can say that this is far from a simple armor. Perhaps even at the level of Erza's best armors. I liked it and I don't mind wearing it, especially in battles. Extra protection never hurts.

On the second plinth was a beautiful single-blade battle axe, very similar to Kratos' Leviathan, which he used in the last game. And no matter how surprising it may be, this ax also had the same name, according to the inscription on the pedestal.

I originally wanted to learn how to wield some kind of weapon after joining Fairy Tail, and since fate itself presents this ax to me on a silver platter, I don't think it makes sense to refuse it.

The ax is a wonderful weapon, especially in the right hands, so I don't mind learning how to wield it. In addition, it is one-handed, which means that I can fight with an ax with one hand, and use the "Light Écriture" with the other.

On the third plinth lay a large blue lacrima. The inscription said it was the Sea Dragon Lacrima. Apparently, thanks to her, you can become a Sea Dragon Slayer of the 2nd generation.

I don't think I will use it. Of course becoming a Dragon Slayer has many benefits, but I don't think it's the right element for me. All my Magic is more focused on Light Magic, and Water Magic is not what I need.

I, of course, plan to become a Dragon Slayer, and not only, but I will prefer an element closer to me. For example, Light, Sun or Stars elements, something like that.

Water Magic is definitely potentially dangerous and powerful and shouldn't be underestimated by any means, but I feel like it's not for me. So, I'll take the Lacrima, but I won't use it. Maybe someone will come in handy.

Do not overload my body with Lacrims of too different elements, because this variety will not make me stronger. God Serena proved this, as having eight Lacrimas in his body didn't save him against a strong mage who focused on Magic alone. It is better to focus on one direction and develop it to the limit. So I'll do it. But who knows what will happen in the future. In the meantime, I will develop my Magic.

On the next pedestal lay some incomprehensible blue sphere. Although, I felt that a powerful Magic Power emanated from her. If not for the inscription, I would never have guessed what it was.

And the inscription read "Angel's Soul Sphere - Arariel". This sphere contained the soul of a certain Angel named Arariel. Apparently, if use this orb correctly with Take-Over Magic, can get Arariel's transformations and get his power.

If I'm not mistaken Angel Soul is another version of Take-Over Magic. There are quite a few people in canon who use other versions of this magic. For example, the Satan Soul Mirajane Strauss from Fairy Tail or the God Soul Dimeria Yest, one of the 12 Spriggans, although she has not yet joined this small group.

In this world, there is such a race as Angels and Sorano even called them to fight with her. So it makes sense that there is Angel Soul Magic.

And apparently someone had sealed Arariel's soul into this sphere so that it could then be absorbed with the help of Take-Over Magic. I don't know what kind of Angel this Arariel is and why the sphere of his soul is in this temple, clearly connected with the marine theme, but I know that this sphere suits me very well.

I already have two angel-like transformations and one more will do if it is strong enough. Now, I just need to find out what kind of Angel it is and what powers it has, although most likely something related to water, and then I will need to learn Take-Over Magic, which the last treasure should help me with.

On the last pedestal lay a pile of thick books, in the same unknown language. I hope there will be information on all these subjects.

'Well, it's time to sort out the treasures.' - I thought, clapping my hands with great enthusiasm.
