1 Chapter one

KATH'S POV

Just an ordinary day,it was summer.The season I'll never forget.

("Alarm rings".)

I quickly turned off my phone's alarm,at pumunta agad sa bathroom.First day of school pa naman ngayon,as I finished I changed clothes apparantly my school uniform and went downstairs for breakfast.

I live by myself naman,nasa apartment lang with basically my daily needs.Nasa States yung parents ko,my Dad is a full-time CEO and my Mom is a Business manager.Magkaiba sila ng Companies,but they're still together naman.

Baka nagtataka kayo na bat andito ako?Pwede naman akong sa states mag aral,ganto' kasi yun,here in the philippines is my hometown.Nandito lahat ng pagmamay-ari namin which is our mansion,na nasa Batangas at yung Resort namin.

Nasa Quezon ako ngayon,yes.By myself,I wanted to prove to my Dad na kaya kong mag-isa.Well they still support my studies and my needs,lalo na yung allowance at tuition ko.

I went to school,my uncle picked me up with his car.Uncle was always been my personal driver,since the begining of Highschool.

"Are you okay Kath?"

My uncle asked.

"I-I'm fine Tito." I answered,nasa edge kasi ako ng car,and I was gazing at the streets for so long.

"We're here." Tito said while pushing the breaks.

"Thanks,I'll get going na."

"Your Tita is hosting a Thanksgiving Party next thursday,namiss ka rin namin iha."

-sighs.

"Okay Tito,I'll be there."

Ningitian ko si Tito,It's been a while na di ako bumalik sa mansion.I mean it's just a night,what could go wrong?Ramdam ko yung lungkot sa mukha ni Tito,It's been 4 months na since lumipat ako sa apartment.

I went to class,nakita ko si Ellie in the same class as me.Nasa tabi sya sa window sa third row,which has been our seat positions since first year.Ellie is my bestfriend,since I was in Elementary we've been friends for like nine years na.

"Kath!"

Napahinto ako,I saw Ellie waving at me.I waved and smiled,the bell rang buti na nga di ako na late I literally spent the whole night reading Mangas.

I sat beside Ellie at nilagay ang bag ko sa gilid ng table.I looked around,may mga transferries pala.

"They're new?"I asked Ellie dahil mas maaga pa siyang dumating dito.

"Yup,taga St.Louise daw sila."Ellie said.

"Really?"

We stopped talking dahil dumating na yung lecturer namin.

"Class,since this is your first day--"

"We will be having a surprise recitation,from your past learnings."

"I hate first days."Ellie said.

Yup,this is getting boring.Ellie is getting pissed na,while I was listening to the lecturer.The questions were basic anyways,until I saw my other seatmate.He was sleeping on his desk,di kasi manonotice ni teacher dahil nasa back-row kami.

"You there!at the back."The lecturer said while pointing her fingers on my seatmate.

"naku,lagot yan."

I gazed at the class,they were making fun of him.

I tilted my head upwards,and gave him a quick glance.He is pretty good-looking,and judging by his appearance parang--

"Okay,you.Can you tell me what are the properties of solid?"

The class went silent for a while.As the lecturer gave him a death stare,I wrote down the answers on my notebook.I mean tinutulungan ko lang naman yung tao,the teacher cant see us naman.I need to help him,just for once I mean what's the worst that can happen?

"Pssst."I shoved my head to get his attention.

Lumingon siya saken,I slid the paper close to him para makita niya.(Yeah I am being so cruel)

"Okay,who can--",

"The properties of solid are,Definite shape, definite volume, definite melting point, high density, incompressibility, and low rate of diffusion."

The whole class went silent for a while,and I even see the lecturer being satisfied.Well done Kath,that's enough helping for today.

"Very Good,Mr?"

"Clyde,Clyde Gutierez."

"Mr. Gutierez,well done."

After the recitation and 2 subjects discusion we had lunch sa cafeteria.Madami dami pa namang tao,the seats infront were taken.At nasa kabilang table si Ellie,I was searching for a vacant seat.Until I found that guy in class Clyde was it?He was sitting with his friends,And there was a vacant seat in front of him.

I sat in front of him,and placed my food.

Nagulat ako nang tinititigan nila ako.

"What?"I said.

"Bruh,you dont have to bring your girlfriend here."

One of his friends spoke,I choked on my drink.

"Uh,sorry but I-I am not h-his girlfriend." sabi ko sabay punas ng spilled juice sa mukha ko.

"Stop it guys,she's my classmate."

"Ohh she must be the one who helped you,HAHAHAHA napaka swerte mo naman bro."

He was silent,unlike his friends.He is very different than I thought I continued eating my lunch.At nakita ko naman sila sa harap na nagce-cellphone.They rotated there phones,so baka nag e-ml or something.

"Ano rank nyo na?"

Ay potek.

Bigla yung nalabas sa bibig ko,I mean I was really curious though naglalaro rin ako.

"Mythic V kami,at etong si Clyde Mythical Glory na."he said sabay pinatong yung balikat niya sa likuran ni Clyde.

"Lalakas niyo pala."

As they were playing,I glanced at Clyde.I was not expecting for him to look at me,our eyes met.

"Hoyy!Bro tulong naman."

"Sorry." Clyde said sabay bumalik sa laro nila.

What was that feeling?

After a few minutes,nagpaalam rin yung mga kaibigan niya.At iniwan kaming dalawa sa table the atmosphere was so awkward.

"So ano main mo?"

I finally broke the ice.

"Naglalaro ka rin?"

"Oo,sometimes."

Kinuha ko yung phone ko to save his IGN,para makapaglaro kami dahil Mythical Glory narin ako.

"Umm can y--"

Napahinto ako nang nakita siyang napakalapit sa akin.

He's too close.
