01:09 AM, Home.

" How long will you make us suffer? Why don't you die!!? "

" Why don't you die? "

"DIE!! "

I was running. But those voices kept following me.

I saw light in front of me. It was approaching me. Suddenly I was surrounded by bright lights. I was a kid again.

My mother was running after me. I was laughing. It was our old house. She was trying to catch me. But suddenly when I turned back she wasn't there anymore.

" Mum? " I called out. Suddenly the light started disappearing again. " MUM! WHERE ARE YOU? I'm scared... "

I was an adult again. Surrounded by darkness.

" Sun Ho.... DIE !! "

I woke up breathing heavily. It was a nightmare. The same nightmare I keep having almost every night ever since I came out of coma a year ago.

I got out of the bed. It was past midnight and I'll not get any sleep anymore. I slipped into the balcony, lit up my cigarette and looked up at the sky. When I was younger, my mom and I used to watch stars together. I always laughed with her. We used to have so much fun together.

Suddenly there were bright lights around me. There was a big comet in the sky!

" WHAT IS THIS!? THE END OF THE WORLD?! WHY IS THIS SO BIG!? "

And it disappeared all of a sudden.

" What the hell was that?! Am I dreaming again? This will make a big news tomorrow. What the hell. We weren't even alerted about anything. I thought the world was ending! " I said to myself.

I decided to atleast do my homework. I was already having a hard time at the school. I was in highschool final year. I resumed my school this year. Since my study was hampered because of the coma, I was two years behind everyone. I never thought of getting good grades. It didn't matter to me. I wouldn't go to college or university anyway.

There were strange rumours about me at school. I didn't had any friends there. They all treated me like a outcast.

" I don't want to go to school. I wish I could drop out. " I mumbled.

" DROP OUT? MY ASS! WHY WOULD YOU DROPOUT?! AND WHY ARE YOU UP THIS LATE?! " My elder sister pulled my ear. " You were playing games weren't you? "

" Ah! Can't you see? I'm studying! "

Since I was still not totally fine according to my family. My sister stayed with me.

" Oh come on.. you're not the study type! "

" Why are you up sis? Were you talking to your boyfriend ? " I teased her

She smacked me on the head.

" I was doing some research related to work dumbass. "

" Did you see the comet? It was soooooo big. "

" What comet? "

" You didn't see? It was like it's day for a second. "

" I didn't see anything like that. My window was open.... Weren't you dreaming? "

" No for real. It was a very big one. Just wait for the news tomorrow. You'll see. "

" It's all in your head dummy. You've been playing too much of games. Why don't you focus more? It's your final year. "

" I'm not interested in studying. I'm not going to college. "

She smacked my head again.

" That hurts! "

" It should! Why wouldn't you go to college! What a fool.... Now wrap it up within an hour and sleep more. There are dark circles under your eyes. "

She got up and went back to her room. Gladly she didn't notice that I smoked.

Next day, 10:00 AM , School.

'I can't believe there's no news about that big comet. How can nobody see it? It was so big!' I thought.

No news channel or news site posted anything about any comets. I started to doubt if I really saw it or as sister said, I was dreaming.

" Students can I have your attention please."

said our class teacher. " We have a new transfer student. Please welcome her. "

A beautiful girl with long hair enters the classroom and all the guys lose their minds.

" She's so beautiful dude! " said one of them.

" Just the perfect size too. " another laughed.

All the boys started murmuring about how beautiful she was. For me she was just another girl with a pretty face.

" Hello. My name is Janice. Nice to meet you all. " She said.

" Bro, her voice is like music in my ears. It's like Wozard's music. " said a guy.

"I can't believe he mixed up ' Mozart ' and 'wizard ' and made a new word. " I mumbled.

" Janice you can sit anywhere. There are a lot of seats here. " said the teacher, " Students don't bother her. I'll take a leave. "

Janice started to come towards me.

' Don't sit next to me please. ' I prayed.

She eventually ended up sitting with me.

" Why would she sit next to that loser? " The guys whispered loud enough for me to hear.

" Hi. I'm Park Janice. What's your name? "

She extended her hand. I had no choice but to shake her hand.

" I'm Sun Ho. Kang Sun Ho. " I said.

" Nice to meet you. " she smiled.

I nodded.

There was a long silence. It was getting awkward.

" Why did you sit next me? There are plenty of seats. "

" This seat is close to the window and right near the A.C. that's why. " she paused. "Why do you ask? "

' Because it feels so awkward and I don't like sharing my space with anyone. ' I thought.

" Just asking. " I said.

Our conversation was cut short by Sang Woo, the most popular guy of the school and a playboy.

" Hi Janice. " he said " Since we are in the same class, don't you think we should exchange numbers? "

"What for? "

I let out a small chuckle. Sang Woo caught me and gave me a death stare.

" Oh. You know I can add you to the class groupchat. " he said smiling.

' Class groupchat? I never heard of that! '

" Is he in the group chat? " Said Janice, pointing at me.

" Ummm.... no. "

" Then why don't you add him? "

" If you insist... " He turned to me. " Give me your number. I'll send you the link. "

" I'm not interested. " I said, not paying much attention to him.

I could feel his ego getting hurt. It was fun.

" Well Janice.. he's not interested. How about you give me your number now? "

I don't understand why this corny guy is so popular among girls.

" I'm not interested either and I don't have a phone you know. " She said

" What? Who doesn't have a phone these days? " Sang Woo laughed.

" Can you go please. I've to take notes now and I've got a lot of things to do. " Janice said as she started to take her books out. "Can you share your notes with me? " She asked.

" Sure. "

Sang Woo stood there for a second wondering what just happened.

" Then I'll come by later. " He said and left.

For the rest of the day, he kept giving me angry, annoyed looks.

As if he can scare me like that and I never asked Janice to sit next to me. She sat next to me on her own.

'Don't tell me! Does she like me!?'
