Chapter 3

"Blood red as roses"

That's the starting chapter of volume one.

I can't believe I forgot something as important as that.

The banquet where the female lead and the male lead will meet. All heroines are like her. When a banquet is held, they go out for some fresh air, walk around the garden and enjoy the view.

And then, that's where they will meet. The heroine will catch the male lead drenched in blood, feel pity for him and will take care of him.

Even though she didn't know his identity, she still helped him. That's your common heroine.

Hahh..why didn't I notice that this is all too idiotic.

"Young miss? Are you alright?"

"Ah, yes. Thank you Kelly. You can go now." I replied.

After Kelly went out, I lied on my bed and thought of some calculations.

The banquet will be held tomorrow and all noble families will be present. Visitors from other kingdoms will be present as well.

On the other hand, the heroine will have to attend as well even though she is merely a baron's daughter.

Suddenly, the door opened without hesitance.

"Young miss! The master and madame have arrived!" Kelly announced.

Huh? Weren't they in a two-week vacation?

"Really? I'm going down right now." I quickly got up and straightened myself.

Before I could go out in my room, a couple came in.

"Anna darling." The woman who looks very beautiful called me in my nickname.

Suddenly, memories in my last life flashed back. The moments where I ate with my parents twice a month, talked jokes and had fun.

Tears came straight out of my eyes and my heartbeat went crazy.

This is too unbelievable....even though their hair and eye color are different, how can they look so similar to each other?

"Mom, Dad." I walked towards them and hugged them together.

"I missed you so much.....heuk" I cried while hugging them.

"Haha, we haven't been that gone for too long Anna. We also missed our loving daughter too." My dad patted my back.

I stopped crying and held myself together. I then let go of my parent's embrace.

"What happened? It hasn't been two weeks yet but you already came home." I asked.

"How can we let our daughter attend her debut all alone? And also, we need to get prepared for your dress and accessories. We need you to become the most beautiful debutante in the banquet." Mom replied with a smile.

"Yes, and we also have to face many businesses in the banquet alone." Dad added.

"I see. I'm glad you came back home safely." I said.

My stomach growled.

"Have you eaten yet? Kelly, tell them to prepare for dinner." Dad commanded.

"Ah! Yes master!" She bowed and went out.

I'm too embarrassed to say that I already ate some snacks earlier yet I'm still this hungry. I guess I have an extra stomach in my body. Haha...

"Let's go down and eat, Anna." My mom gestured me to go to her.

"Yes mom."

We walked together and went down to eat. We talked, joked and had fun while eating.

This day just became one of the best days in my life.

"Young miss, wake up..."

I was startled when someone suddenly whispered in my ears.

"It's you Kelly.....I thought you're a ghost. Wake me up in a better way next time okay?" I was really scared for a moment when she said that.

"Oh, I apologize young miss.."

"No, it's fine already." I consoled her.

"Since you're already awake, let's start preparing for your debut."

She held my hand and took me to the bathroom. The bathroom also looked very luxurious and beautiful.

Few servants then came inside and held many beauty accessories like shampoo, bodywash and etc.

They scattered rose petals in the water and washed my hair.

I was in no position to complain since this is how they handle noble ladies based on the novel.

Well, since I'm a simple person, let's just say I am quick in adapting things.

After bathing, they took care of me like I was a living doll.

*knock *knock

"Anna? It's me." A voice said.

"Oh, come in mom." I replied.

She went in and looked very pretty. Moriana totally got her looks from her mom.

"What is it mom?" I asked.

"Ah, I brought you your dress."

"There is only one in the world since I got it customized from the best fashion designer." She added in a whispering voice.

*chuckle* "Thank you mom. You're the best." I hugged her.

"I'll get going first. You go ahead and prepare yourself." She prettily said.

I nodded.

"Wow..this dress will look so good in you, young miss!" Kelly praised.

"Really? Thank you in advanced Kelly." I thanked her.

The preparation took a whole day and it was totally common.

Finally, they finished dolling me up.

"Young miss...you look like a fairy." Kelly said.

"No! She looks like an angel!" Another maid added.

"Either way, our young miss will be the most beautiful one out there." Another one said.

"Kyaa! I think there will be many who will ask for your hand young miss!"

They are totally enjoying this right now.

Still....

This is one exceptional beauty.

My hair was loosed and it went down til my hips. They designed both sides with accessories complementing the color of the dress I wore.

The dress looked exclusive as well. The color was amethyst like my eyes. It had many jeweled beads designed in it and the ends were very well-styled.

She'll look well as the heroine...

Someone knocked on the door and opened it.

"Anna darling? Are you done?" It was mom's voice.

I turned my back and looked at her.

"Oh my, my daughter looks so ethereal. I'm worried that you'll suddenly get married one day." She praised and sighed.

I giggled. "Don't worry mom, I will stay with you for a long time before that happens."

Yes, I need to stay with both of you for a long time since I didn't get to do that in my last life.

"Haha. Thank you all for your hardwork. You may go now." She talked to the servants.

"You are most welcome madame." They said and bowed together in unison. After that, they went out first.

"I have something to give you."

Mom took out a special-looking box and opened it. Inside it was a necklace with a tear-shaped amethyst jewel.

"Turn around." She said.

I obeyed and turned around. She put the necklace on me and turned me around again in the opposite.

"It looks great on you." She said, satisfied.

"Thank you mom."

"Your father is waiting outside. Shall we get going?"

I nodded. We walked out together till we got outside the mansion.

I didn't notice that the house was this big since this is my first time looking at it from the outside.

Father was standing with the carriage behind him.

"My my my, two angels have descended from the Allisson mansion. You two look absolutely pretty." He complimented.

"You look dashing too, dad." I complimented back.

After the praises and compliments, we entered inside the carriage.

The journey took an hour and a half before arriving at the Imperial palace. The ride made my back hurt and uncomfortable.

The Imperial palace sure is big and extravagant. You can see it from the window.

We got off and walked towards a huge door. Stopped for a moment, and gave our name to the person standing in front of the door.

The person then recognized us. The door opened and it was shining from the inside.

We took counted steps and went inside.

This will be the start of the main story.....
