First Prototype

Seeing that I slammed my head to the table and groaned in frustration as the same automaton that put it in took it out and carefully placed it in a larger-than-average test tube rack. Probably meant to store other samples, I saw a marker nearby and picked it up.

"System the solution safe to touch?"

[Yes Host the solution is sealed and should be safe to handle if done right]

Before I went over to it, I went back to my paper and wrote down failure on the results part of it. Once that was done I approached the solution drew the letter one on it and got another piece of paper out to draw out similar steps and try to see what went wrong during the process.

"System did the automatons make any mistake during the process or did I?"

[The System has already analyzed the process and while the Host needs to put in less of the primordial Insect dust, one of the automatons went over the necessary amount when making the basic parts of it

Modifications have been made to the machine in question, the same mistake should not happen again]

Nodding I got back up and made the necessary requirements for my part of the formula while keeping the rest the same. Then the system screen came back up again.

[Would Host like to restart the process]

Sighing I nodded yes and it disappeared with the automatons getting back to work and going back to my station, making sure to put on the proper safety equipment alongside other safety precautions. As the machines went through the various processes making sure to create the proper solution to create the basic Jungle Juice. I got the equipment necessary to add the primordial insect dust and got the same amount out.

When that part was over, I grabbed some nearby unused tongs and used them to lessen the amount by a tiny bit, making sure to keep track of the amount I put in. So as the machines went away recreating the solution, until it eventually came to me. Looking at it, I took one more look at my spoon making sure I had the necessary amount. Then when I was sure everything was right, I gently poured it into the solution and stepped back allowing the automaton to take over to the machine.

It placed it gently inside making sure it was locked in place and closed the panel, stepping aside and allowing me to come over and put in the same variables as the last one and set the timer for 1 hour. Going back to where my papers were, I placed the paper with failure on it in one pile, and the future possible experiments in another the only one not in a pile was the current experiment. So I started drawing small sketches again at the top trying my best to pass the time.

Then I had a thought, while the possible future experiments paper were simply small changes to the original process, I copied the current formula hoping that this one would work and add in an extra ingredient. Steve Roger's DNA or more specifically whatever turned him into a supersoldier, after all, if I could get the proper parts and machinery I could try to analyze his DNA, and hopefully get the formula for it.

Honestly based on the webcomic, some of the insect hybrids were already at supersolider level or above it in some cases. Of course, they had weaknesses of their own depending on the species, but the supersoldier formula flowing through Steve Roger's veins could provide a significant improvement to the base formula. The same could be said for Bruce Banner's DNA, however, there could be significant problems with his DNA so it would probably be safer to start with Steve Roger's DNA which shouldn't pose any major problems unless there was something I was unaware of.

I would also like to get my hands on a strand of Thor's DNA as well but it was already extremely unlikely I would get my hands on Captain America's, the god of thunder would be much harder. So for right now instead of focusing on future prospects, I should try to get the basic formula right first.

Then as I was done thinking and creating the possible modified formula, I heard the machine stopping and the automation approached, opening up the hatch revealing a neon green fluid. Approaching it, the system appeared in front of me again, this time with some good news.

[Success]

I jumped for joy hearing that, pumping my fist in the air overjoyed at the fact it only took two times to fully create the formula. Honestly, I thought it was going to take hundreds more before we got the first successful one. The automaton picked up the solution and placed it near the first one. Approaching it with all the necessary safety equipment and the marker in hand, I wrote the number 2 on it.

Then I went over to my papers and for the second solution formula, I wrote success on it placing it in a new pile for success. Now the next problem was, what do I do next, and usually, the next step in situations like these would be testing. The only problem was who would I test this one and finally a question popped into my head.

"System do we have pesticide canisters, or something like that?"

[Unfortunately, the Host will have to provide his own if you wish to sell Jungle Juice]

Some part of me probably already knew that but it still frustrated me a bit, mostly because while I was a researcher for how certain bugs are affected by certain pesticide combinations or how certain mutations came around. This meant I wasn't involved in the packaging process or how to properly store the pesticide in spray cans so this was going to be difficult.

[The system can help in creating the spray cans necessary using all available equipment in the lab]

Well hearing that made me feel a little better, and I got up stretching out a little bit knowing that the money was probably for this.

"System if I left the lab could the automatons repeat the process by themselves without me being present?"

[If the Host would like to follow the current formula then yes it would be possible]

"Okay, can you do that, I need to look up how to make pesticide cans and probably get some sleep as well."

[Would Host like to leave the Laboratory?]

"Yes, I would."

Then I was taken over by a bright flash of light and I appeared back in that same dirty department, I'm not ashamed to say I jumped back once I saw myself in the mirror.

As said in earlier chapters I don't own Marvel or Jungle Juice please leave a review and some power stones, and read or watch the original works if you watch to show the creators their support
