"Welcome to the world, my beautiful children."

Sobs could be heard from the man as he held his children. Suddenly he was moved out of the way as a team of doctors pushed past him, the nurse making sure the babies still in his arms where okay.

"keep the patient moving, we need to get her to the intensive. Cameron moves ahead and prep the room." the young woman moved away from the group as she ran ah the others rushing but not unsteady.

The sound faded away as the man stared listlessly, holding his children as they took his wife away, unsure whether she would live past today.

Slowly one of the babies he was holding reached up and touched his face. Their eyes were still closed, but the father could see his babies eyes shuttering. The action made them look like there were holding back tears.

He smiled. The other two saw it and started to relax. No longer were they going to start wailing. He let out a little laugh as he looked at his children.

"We need to take them to the nursery. Please come with us." the nurse had a gentle smile as she looked at the man. It was evident that he would never let the children go, given his wife's current state.

Slowly his eyes looked up for the three babies.

"Of course, just tell me how I can help them."

"you're doing great. Just come with me. We'll get the babies some milk and a check-up."

He looked silently over to where they had taken his wife before resolutely nodding and following after the nurse.

In the end, the children were able to see their mother again. The mother had suffered from anaemia due to the babies. Walking around their house had she had fainted, embedding a knife in the right side of her chest.

She was then rushed to the hospital, where they had stemmed the bleeding while doing an emergency c section.

Usually, these operations would all be taking place in one room with several teams around to handle the patient.

Unfortunately, due to the knife's position, she needed to be rushed to intensive care before they could complete the removal and treatment.

Later, when the mother was stable and awake, she hugged her children. She had a warm smile that showed genuine love for them. she was very pale but still very bright.

"Never again, these three are more than enough trouble." she smiled as she spoke, and the father gave a rye chuckle as he held his wife's hand and kissed her forehead.

"What are we gonna name them." he smiled as he looked at his children.

"mason, Mabel and mavis."

"Little heavy on the ma theme, don't you think, honey."

"We can shorten and add nicknames late. I think it will tie them together even later in life."

He only smiled. He was looking at the women he loved and the children he would now give his life too.

A young girl was crying in a bathroom stall. She must have been no older than 7 with a cute outfit on and new done up hair and like 14 wristwatches on each arm. There was something off as a large piece of chewing gum stuck to her head.

"Mabel, are you there" a small girl with very dark brown and large blue eyes with dark lashes. Looking down at her sister and went to hug her.

"what happened," she said mid hug and little Mabel broke down again. she relaxed in her sister's arms as she hugged the dark-haired girl back.

"she...ruined...my...hair...I just...wanted a...nice photo." deciphering the sob crying, mavis finally figured out what was going on. Her sister was very eccentric and loved to make a show of things, and today was going to be her big day.

Mavis used to her sister's extravagant behaviour, so she just hugged her while waiting for her to calm down. Patting her back, they sat in this hug until Mabel was no longer crying. She had a vague memory of learning how to calm and comfort others, but they remain shattered and distant, like most of her memories.

"Mabel, I figured out a way to fix your photo." a small boy ran into the bathroom. He looked like a carbon copy of Mabel, but he was sniffling with short hair and a red nose.

"What...you...have a wig..." mavis let out a little laugh at her siblings sob speak.

"no, but I have a razer." he turns it on and goes to take off his beany and shave his head. Mavis quickly rejects this as she grabs the razor from him. he looks stunned for a second as he looks at his sister.

"I have a better solution." As Mavis pulls out a pair of scissors, she unties Mabel hair from pink tails and starts to cut it shorter. She leaves Mabel with bangs and shoulder-length hair. The chewing was cut out and layered, so it wasn't noticeable.

It wasn't perfect like she wanted, but it had a little more common sense than just shaving the area.

"common dipper, let's get you to the nurse so she can give you your hayfever meds; you always forget" mavis take dipper by that arms as she drags him out of the bathroom.

Mabel still looking at her new hair in the mirror. She heard the footsteps of her sister and brother walk away. She smiled as she played with her hair.

Mavis sighed as he remembered the day. She looked out the bus window and watched endless pine trees fly by every, no, and then the light from the sun would flicker through the windows, hitting her face. She liked the sun. It made her feel warm.

We were on a bus heading up north to a small town called gravity falls oregan. It started when are parents finally decided that the three of us needed to get away from the city for a while and get some fresh air.

They also decided that it was time for us to meet some of our extended family.

Our great-uncle ran a tourist trap up in the small town filled with 'mysteries.' for some reason, I was only excited about the trip as something was nagging at me that there would be an adventure in this little town up north.

Mabel was excited to see some of her extended family, but dipper felt different. He felt like their parents were trying to get rid of them for the summer. She smiled as they were finally aloud of the bus her smile widened as she saw who was waiting for them.
