chapter 11 meeting

I dressed up in my usual jeans shorts and a slightly oversized hoodie the weather is pretty cold, I felt I shouldn't dress up much because even if I wanted to I didn't have any presentable dress I tied my hair into a ponytail took my phone and wallet was set to leave when I heard a knock on my door

I opened it and saw someone dressed up in a suit at my door step

"miss the car is ready" he said

I nodded and followed him to the car. The ride was steady I just looked outside the window deeply in thoughts is this the right decision for me

We got to what seemed like a new world to me merely looking at the gate entirely I guess he calls that a mansion but it's more like a castle to me the gate opened and the car got in going into the mansion there were a sea of flowers on either side of the house with a very pretty water fountain at the middle

I was still admiring the beauty of the house when the car pulled to a stop

the driver came and opened the car door for me and I got out

I was ushered in by a middle aged butler probably in his late fifties

I got in and the beauty of the inside surpassed the outside. The pretty chandelier was welcoming me with it's colorful light

the marble on the floor most have cost a whole lot of money the interior was comfy but scrams masculinity

that can be changed by the hostess of the house I thought

I just slapped myself in my head at my weird thought when I was ushered to a sit by the butler

"please have a seat" he said

"thank you" I sat down when I heard footsteps from the stairs I looked up and blushed

he looked so handsome and less imposing in casual clothes than his usual black and gray suits

his hair dripping wet I guess he just finished taking his bath

I swallowed hard with that thought I looked away

"you're here'' he said

"y yes" I stammered

"pls feel at ease and comfortable" he said

"ok"

"dinner is ready sir"

"pls join me"

he said

I followed him to the dining hall and he pulled out a chair for me

Morgan's POV

I couldn't wait to finish the meeting so I can rush home I got home and decided to take a quick shower when I finished I dressed up and went to the living room

I was hungry but not for the chefs food but her's I invited her to dine with me

I ate the food a little slower than usual just enjoyed watching her eat something about her seem fascinating

we finished our dinner in silence

back at the living room I asked " how have you been"

" I've been fine" I'll like to be honest with you now I don't have feelings for you and I hope you give me the time to cultivate it and as well get to know you better"

"that's fine by me"

I answered loving how honest she was because I wouldn't want to have a girlfriend that would be lying to me

that's why I have been running away from the numerous women around me over the years

but when it comes to Julie she's simple and honest her honesty has drawn me closer to her than expected

"do you mind me asking you a bit of a personal question"
