15 Late night snack

The sky that once showed the crowded clouds hiding the gleaming sun eventually turned into nightfall. The malicious beasts crawl out of their hiding to feast on and terrorize anything that comes in their path but tonight is the first night that Gabi is not frightened. The 10-year-old boy is ready to come into combat with any beings who dare stop him from achieving his goal of leaving this inhuman place. As Gabi was leaning on the tree bark with his eyes closed to help him concentrate on numerous battle strategies Jorogumo came up to him to break the boy's thinking.

" Gabimaru, it's time."

As soon as Gabi heard that he shot open his eyes wide understanding what his servant meant by that. Gabimaru got off the tree and started to walk deep into the eerie forest.

( I'm still weak so I will just focus on the lower rank courses until I'm ready for the special grade courses. I had enough of these games, Higanbana)

" Remember you can summon more curses in your arsenal to help you in combat, Gabimaru." jorogumo notified the young boy and he replied by nodding at her

Even though the young boy is weak, the training that Jorogumo made him do earlier gave him confidence. After the warm-up Gabi was forced to do, Jorogumo and Gabi engaged in battle with each other to loosen up and it worked. The boy is not stiff as he was before but Gabi still needs to do a lot of work to be able to go against the rest of the upper class curses.

Walking through the vandalism forest that's decorated with dry blood that's painted on the trees and ground with brittle bones scattered around that can be mistaken as tree branches once you step on it. The two continually walked until their movements came to a halt once they heard a shriek of fiendish laughter.

"It east towards us "Jorogumo informed the boy.

Gabi turned his body towards the noise that piqued his interest. The cautious walk that he did turned into a power walk to get to his destination and Jorogumo trailed behind him trying to catch up to his pace.

" Gabimaru, you must be mindful that we don't know what that was. Calm down." Jorogumo tries to guide him to do this the right way but the hard-headed boy ignores her advice and moves faster once a loud screech echoes through the forest that almared the two. The pace that Jorogumo had trouble keeping up got worse when Gabi rushed through toward the scene, she soon couldn't see his figure and it disappeared in her vision.

Gabimaru reached the place he was rushing to get to and witnessed a helpless young woman lying down on her back trapped on the ground with daggers penetrating her palms and the top of her ankles onto the ground. Gabi quickly scanned the area while he was going closer to the lady. When Gabi got close he saw how the lady's stomach was torn off, from seeing that sight Gabi felt ill.

" What the hell?"Gabi felt nauseous using one of his hands to cover his nose hole to block the rotten smell that was entering his nose.

While Gabi was trying to keep his composure a lingering figure was soaring from above looking at their prey to consume for their late-night snack.

Gabi begins to walk but a voice calls his name echoing through the spooky breezy forest.

" Gabimaru" the strange hoarse voice called his name out loud again with a forceful base that caused the forest to tremble making some of the trees collapse and the ground start cracking.

Gabi was on guard and checked his surroundings but couldn't see anyone but trees.

" Where is Jorogumo?" Gabi asked himself.

As soon as Gabi was about to escape the scene a flying being flew right past his face so fast before Gabi could have a glimpse to see what that was.

( It was so fast. What the hell was that?)

The flying creature came again for round 2 being discrete this time and flew right above Gabi. The freaky beings open their unhygienic mouths to release their lengthy tongue that is about 20 meters long. The tongue was descending while twirling around like it was a ribbon dance to reach the clueless boy that was right below.

Gabi was unaware that the being was above him; he kept looking from left to right to look for anything out of the ordinary but didn't see anything. Soon the odious slimy tongue took a quick lick of the right side of Gabimaru's cheek causing the boy to panic and react by falling to the ground and looked up into the sky to see a hideous split-body woman with long black hair that had bat wings on her. The woman was on the tree looking down on the boy with a seductive smirk glued on her face

" I usually would prefer a pregnant woman but tasting a virgin boy got me feeling more hungry than normal." The unprepossessing woman went in her mouth to take out a chunk of human meat that was stuck in the side of her mouth and dropped it down to make sure it landed right in front of the boy's body.

" That fetus was not tasty at all." the creature finally said while climbing down on the tree like a snake hunting for its prey. Her split body was simultaneously moving side by side.

Gabi was fazed by the split monster until she released her tongue towards him again. He snapped out of his frightened state when he saw the cluster of maggots on her tongue fighting each other to get a taste of human meat and blood that was on her tongue.

( That's disgusting!)

The boy quickly stood up and grabbed the extended tongue wrapped it around his fist pulled the female tongue full force and slammed it on the ground.

Gabi took steps away from the woman and didn't want to be rash. The woman raised her head from the ground and chuckled to herself

"I see you want to play hard to get. " She turned her head to the side to see her meal "It looks like my babies enjoy your company too," she mentioned.

Gabi furrowed eyebrows in confusion wondering what she meant by that. " Huh? You made no …" Before Gabi could finish his sentence he felt a pinching feeling on top of his fist causing the boy to yelp.

Once Gabi looked at his hand he saw a few maggots that latched onto him trying to dig in his flesh. The boy quickly waved his hand around trying to shake them off and since the maggots were being stubborn he punched the tree bark as hard as he could to kill the flesh-eating bugs. While he was occupied with the maggots the bat creature rushed in to devour the boy, gabi saw from the corner of his eyes that the female was closing in on him and ran up the tree bark and jumped over the woman who almost caught Gabi in her grasp. When Gabi landed on the ground, he forcefully threw a blow with his fist to aim at the middle of the gap that was in between her split body where you could see all of her insides. Before he could even reach her weak spot the bat female quickly reattached her body so it could be one. She turned her head 360 and met with the boy's eyes.

" You can't get rid of me, that easy baby. " The female wrapped her tongue around Gabi's arm and moved his body around in circles finally flinging him onto the ground causing the boy to groan in pain.

The woman fixed her head back on and was walking towards the hurt boy. " rumors say that food tastes better when it is hard to catch. I hope it's true" She bent down to meet eye level with him. She opened her revolting mouth and Gabi could see all the bugs crawling all over her mouth, Gabi could smell the decaying human flesh that was stuck in between her teeth.

Gabi's insides were turning upside down. He had seen a lot of disgusting crap ever since he was stuck down here but seeing this was his top 3 worst things he experienced in this hell hole. But that didn't stop the young Gabimaru, he grabbed the woman's tongue when she least expected and gripped it tight.

"let's see how far your tongue can reach" Gabi gave the woman a sly smirk and started to yank her tongue out her mouth causing the creature to gag and try to fight him off.

Gabi took his legs and wrapped them around her above her torso making sure she wouldn't scratch him with her long nails or trying to escape from his grasp.

" Come on, don't be shy." Gabi taunted the creature.

Gabi used more force to yank her tongue more seeing blood leaking out of her mouth and Gabi knew that her tongue was almost coming out. The maggots started to crawl onto Gabi's arm and started to nib on his flesh but Gabi didn't mind them, his focus was to murder the woman that he had on lockdown.

( After I rip her tongue out, I will strangle her with her own unsavory tongue that she takes so much pride in.)

Once Gabi finally ripped it out of her mouth the creature lost strength and Gabi took it to his advantage to finish her off. He got up from the ground grabbed the long tongue and was constantly wrapping around her neck. He used both ends of the tongue and was pulling it to choke the creature to her death.

When Gabi was choking her, Jorogumo finally found him and went close to her master to see who he was eliminating When she saw the beast beneath Gabi, Jorogumo grabbed Gabi's attention.

" Gabi, stay back right now!" the servant shouted out.

Gabi ignored her advice and was still strangling her. Jorogumo tried to pull him off her but he shoved her to the ground.

" I told you earlier, that I am killing every living creature here to escape this nightmare!" Gabi harshly told off Jorogumo.

Jorogumo stuck her teeth "You idiot, listen to me because you are not killing her. Back off now !!"

" what do you …" Gabi was unable to finish.

The creature opened her dark sinister black eyes wide open and had a creepy smile attached to her face showing her rotten teeth, she sliced Gabi's stomach with her sharp razor nails causing him to fall backwards and she quickly got up and went to her fighting stance " you should have listened to your little girlfriend. Now I will definitely enjoy my late night snack" her new tongue came out of her mouth and it was longer than her previous one.

" You just made her stronger you imbecile," Jorogumo informed the hot-headed boy.

" What is that.." Gabi asked Jorogumo while he slowly went to where she was touching his wound.

" That is a manananggal." jorogumo answered.

The manananggal started charging at the two with her long razor nails in front of her, swinging her tongue left and right, being impatient to taste her two prey in front of her " I will savor your taste !"
