Confusion

Darkness took over Gabi's sights. Normally they said when you die you will see a white light but that's false in Gabi's case because all he sees is darkness.

(Am I dead? Is this what death is? Utterly alone and cold? Well I guess that it's for me I'm so pathetic I even cost my own teammate their life because I was so useless.)

"MASTER, WAKE UP!" A loud voice echoes in Gabi's ears causing them to ring.

Gabi opened his eyes and he saw how he was surrounded by his curses. Kitsune as usual is clingy to Gabi and has her naked body on top of his. " what happe…" Gabi tried to speak but Kitsune dived in and started kissing his cheeks as tears fell from her eyes.

" Master, you are finally awake! I thought I lost you." the fox being dramatic.

Gabi tapped her back to calm her down because he knew this episode of hers could last all day if you let her. " Kitsune let him breathe he just came out of battle." Jorogumo gave the fox some advice so she could follow along but the fox ignored it.

" Kitsune I'm alright okay now get up because your melons are crushing me. " Gabi pleaded.

The Kitsune smirks at his comment, " You just came back from the dead and you already mentioned my boobs. I never knew Master was a pervert."

Now Gabi pushed the fox off him, "Never" Gabi got up from the ground. " Where Higanbana?"

Jorgumo sucked her teeth, " Of course, you will ask for her." She mumbled so nobody would hear her.

" I'm right here." The woman herself started to walk close to Gabi as her hips swayed from right to left. " I see you have encountered Toji Fushiguro, the non-curse user from the Zenin clan but he also has incredible strength and speed. He is like a superhuman."

" How did you even know anything about him?" Gabimaru asks out of curiosity.

Higanbana sat on a chair with one of her legs crossed on the other, " Because I know everything that goes on."

( But how? She is supposed to see everything I see through my sights and how did she even know any information about him?)

" Anyways, I see you have perfected your move Black Flash, well done my sweet Gabi. I want to know the other tricks you have up your sleeve." she grins at the boy.

Gabi shrugs his shoulders, " I like to surprise people. "

Higanbana laughs at his comment while Jorogumo watches the two converse even though she won't admit it she's envy's Higanbana and she doesn't like it when she and Gabi shut everyone out to be in their own world.

" Well, I need to get back to the real world I have to check on Makima, I think she's dead but I need to confirm it to be sure."

Kitsune pouts hearing her name she knows throughout the months they grew close she considers her as her rival for Gabi's love but in reality, Gabi doesn't have feelings towards the red-haired girl or the fox. " Why leave me now to go to her ?" Kitsune's tantrum started again.

Gabi sighed at the girl because he goes through this with her every time, " Because I put her in danger. I just want to see if she's okay or not." The Kitsune didn't say anything more because she knew Gabi was right but she still couldn't help being jealous.

" She's alright Gabimaru so don't worry about her. It's hard to kill that girl, " Higanbana said.

" How are you sure? I literally saw bullets coming through her body."

Higanbana gave her smirk towards the boy, " Because I know and she's alive and kicking."

(Huh? How can she know this stuff?)

" Whatever, I'm still leaving. " Nobody opposed and let the boy leave and so he did.

As Gabi woke up he was in his room he tried to sit up but his body had other plans. Gabi was too sore to even move around but that didn't stop the stubborn boy, he tried to get up anyway until soft hands were placed on his shoulder and pushed him back on the bed.

" Don't force yourself you need to rest." A soft voice whispered in his ears.

When Gabi turned his head he noticed that it was Shoko. " Shoko? What are you doing here?"

Shoko laughed at his confused expression, " I was here checking up on you making sure you were resting well. Knowing you for months I know that you are hard headed so I'm here to guard you making sure you don't get up. " she explained to him.

( Even though Shoko might look cold-hearted her heart is made out of gold.)

Gabi slouched back on the bed and covered his body, " I was weak out there. I couldn't protect anyone. "

Shoko pushed his hair out of the way to see his face clearly, "Weak? You went up against a strong superhuman person who took down Gojo and Geto with ease. You keeping him company gave me a chance to save Geto from dying and it gave Gojo a chance to recover to defeat him. You are in no way near weak Gabimaru. The only death we had was the vessel."

Gabi furrowed his eyes in confusion,

( Gojo is alive? )

A small smile placed on Gabi's face but it soon vanished when he thought about Makima "What about Makima? Is she alright?"

Shoko tilted her head not understanding Gabi's questions, "Huh? She is okay. She is the one who brought you to me. It's hard for Makima to be injured. "

( That's impossible. I really did see her get shot multiple times. Was I imagining the whole thing? Did I really see her get shot? )

Gabi was in deep thought he didn't want to say anything more because as of the moment he couldn't even trust himself.

" Well, I should get going later. I'm really glad to see you doing okay and also your brother came to check up on you." Shoko announced her departure.

Gabi turned his face away from her hiding his face, " Psh, I don't care if he did." he lied.

Shoko gave him a warm smile because she knew he was happy hearing that. She was walking away from him. " Makima even seemed worried for you. Even though she didn't show it she certainly was talking awfully a lot about your well-being. Well bye, Gabimaru. " Shoko finally left leaving Gabi with a lot to think about.

( I'm somewhat glad that he didn't die because life would be boring without hearing his cocky mouth. )

Gabi slightly chuckled and relaxed on his bed following Shoko's orders, " I'm glad everyone is safe but it's unfortunate that a school student lost their life. This world is cruel and anyone could lose their life, even a kid who just started high school life."
