Absence

Gojo stormed into the shelter where there was holding the injured sorcerers. He scanned the room looking for a particular person. As he saw his target he went to her.

"Shoko, I'm glad you're here. I can't believe all this has happened under my watch… ."

"Satoru. Calm down. I can see the situation with my own eyes. I will do the best I can to help them."

Gojo sighed out of relief but his mind went back to Gakuganji. "Grandpa, will he make it?" his question was rather low to hear but Shoko heard him loud and clear and assured the man that he was well.

"He's strong and stable for now. He just has to rest and we will see from there." Shoko placed her hand on his shoulder, "Maybe you should rest too, you look like shit."

A slight smile formed on his lips as he nodded to go back to his students. As he was heading there his mind drifted back to Gabi.

(I swear I killed him. How he was untouched by my attack. I noticed his body was perfectly fine but how? His body was destroyed into bits and then it went back to normal like he regenerated. Now the question is, what are his powers? What else can he do? And will I be able to put an end to his life.)

"I see you still well after fighting him." Utahime was standing still laying her back on the wall resting her exhausted. Her eyes were closed shut but she could hear his walk from anywhere. Gojo always has this presence that always makes her know that he's near her.

"I am. How are you? Did you catch a glimpse of his eyes?"

Utahime finally opened her eyes to meet his. She could notice the change in his face, the fact he wasn't playful or getting on her nerves proved to her how hard he was taking this. "I'm fine. Despite running around the area looking for the students and fighting curses and those people, my day is just the norm. However, this isn't about me, Satoru. It's okay to feel the way you feel. He's your brother."

"He's someone I need to put down. He put everyone in danger and he killed someone in front of the students. That old man could have died."

"You killed people. What you saying is everything in the jujutsu handbook. I'm asking about your heart. He's your blood brother. Someone with whom you shared the same DNA. A person who you regret not being with since you two were kids. You can fool everyone in the jujutsu world but I could tell you at least want to save him. He's not Geto. He was a child who was done wrong in this world. I don't agree on his path in life but he needs someone in his corner. Perhaps his brother. " After Utathime had spoken her piece she left that wall and walked out of the room to go somewhere, leaving Gojo to his thoughts.

( I don't know what I can do or say to smack some sense into Gabi. Do I mention he has a child? Makima might start a war with me and go on a rampage, especially if the word has gotten out that her child is the same blood as Gabi. He is a threat to the jujutsu world and everyone wants to get his head. I don't want to kill my only brother. If there are any options I can take to bring him back I would but I don't have any. I can't even locate him. I know this is the start but what is he planning?)

"Gojo sensei!" Yuji grabbed his attention.

"Yuji you seem well, how are the rest? I was just about to visit you guys."

"Megumi still healing and Nobara is herself. She's mad that someone messed up her nails or something."

"I NEED A MANICURE ASAP AND THEN I WILL FIND THEM AND HAMMER THEM TO DEATH!" Nobara's voice loudly echos the building as it rattles under her wrath.

Yuji rolled his eyes as he mocked her in a low voice. "Anyway, Gojo sensei." the two started to head out of the building.

"Yes, I'm listening." he held the door open for the younger teen.

" That man. I saw him again. He was at the school. Who is he?" Yuji curiously asks his sensei.

Gojo didn't see the point in hiding it since the younger generation had no clue about his brother. Gabi came back for revenge so it's only right to inform Yuji about the mystery man. Gojo looked at the sky as he slowly took off his blindfolds. During these past years, he wondered does Gabi still stargazes like how he did when he was younger. Gojo always used to spot Gabi in the back of their mansion looking at the sky like it was the most amusing thing to do. He picks up on his habit of Gabi and does it every night. "He's my brother. My twin brother to be exact."

A loud gasp left Yuji's mouth but then he closed it quickly and shrugged his shoulders. " I figure, you two look alike. I just didn't want to assume."

( We probably have more in common rather than our looks.)

" Why he's not here with us? Why are we fighting against him, sensei?"

"Because this world failed him." Gojo finally looks down on the teen. "I failed my brother and he wants to destroy everything."

"Sensei, can we bring him back to you?"

This question caused Gojo to be at a loss for words. Is it that noticeable for others to sense that Gojo dearly wants Gabi to be back in his life? "I don't know if he willingly will forgive me but I do want my brother back. I need him back but not for just make sake."

(Misumi needs to know her father. That little girl did nothing wrong for her to feel empty. I will never forget that conversation I had with her when she was younger.)

Flashback to five years ago

"Mommy going to get mad when she sees you Gojo." the little girl warns the man but Gojo only giggles at her.

"Well, your mother doesn't scare me. I came to see my favorite person in the whole wide world." he pulled out her favorite chocolate and revealed it to the little girl. "Candy for you, milady."

Misumi quickly grabbed it and tore the wrapped apart getting ready to demolish the caramel chocolate the white-haired man gave her. "Thank you!" the girl finally replied with a mouth full of chocolate.

"No problem, anything for you." the two sat on top of the roof looking into the sky. The only sounds that were heard were the birds and Misumi chewing. This was their time spent together and Misumi loved looking up. Gojo passes along this hobby of his and his brother to his niece. He wonders does Gabi looks in the sky thinking about him as much as he thinks about his twin.

"How was school? Did you make any friends yet?"

Silence took over them and it wasn't a good one either. Misumi had stiffened up and tried to avoid speaking about it until Gojo forced it out of her in a gentle way. "Not good. People think I'm weird for only having one parent. They ask me about my father and I always say I don't know because I don't. They laugh at me and say mean things towards me."

"Misumi, don't listen to-"

"It's okay. I already expect the fact I am weird. My father left me. That proves it does it?"

Gojo gently patted her shoulder and then gave her a little squeeze. "Have you told your mother about this? I'm sure she would end the bullying."

Misumi shook her head. "Mommy is busy and it's that time of the month when she always seems down and I don't know why."

(It's the time that she and Gabi got together. Does she still have feelings for him? I highly doubt that. She's probably furious at him.)

" If my mommy can put a brave face on so can I. I don't want to burden her with this so she can have added stress on her. I want to be strong just like Mommy."

Gojo laughed at her statement as he pecked her on top of her head. "You're already strong. No five-year-old can mess with you. Remember that you are loved and your mother is a strong woman and she raised you just right."

"Thank you but sometimes I wonder does my dad ever thinks about me and Mommy. I never had seen Mommy with anyone else. Did daddy hurt her that much?" those curious eyes burned into Gojo's blue orbs. The man didn't want to say the wrong thing that could make his niece upset even more. The man gave her a tight lip smile.

"I don't know, honey. The world may never know." that is the only thing he can say. He doesn't have the heart to crush her.

Flashback ended

( She needs you, Gabi. I know she still thinks about you.)
