11 Boogie Woogie vs Blood Manipulation

The insurance doesn't cover fights between Special Grades on campus, but battles between Grade 1's and lower are covered, so Gakuganji could relax and sip his tea in peace from the comfort of his office.

" Noritoshi challenged Todo to a fight. Never thought I would see the day. " Mai said, leaning on the railing, " How hard was his head slammed on a rock? "

" No head slamming. " Miwa said. " Apparently, Naoya spurred Noritoshi on somehow a few days ago when Noritoshi asked him for help. I asked Todo, but he just told to me to ask Sensei directly. "

" That right. What did he do then? After all, he managed to get that dumbass all fired up and fight against Todo. Maybe he just insulted him till Noritoshi snapped and wanted to prove himself. " Mai suggested.

" No. That's impossible. " Mechamaru said.

" And why's that? " Mai asked.

" Contrary to the Zenin clan staple, Naoya sensei has grown out of that stigma. " Mechamaru said.

" What? " Mai said in confusion.

" He isn't a massive dick like everyone else in your family. " Mechamaru said bluntly.

" Yeah right. That can't be true. He is literally the son of the clan head and has all the qualities that the Zenin clan is looking for in a sorcerer. He is diffently a massive dick. " Mai said.

"16-year-old Naoya, absolutely. Present Naoya, the farthest person from being an actual dick. " Utahime said.

" Can all of you stop saying dick? " Miwa asked.

" Mechamaru started it. " Mai said.

" Only because you were stupid. " Mechamaru said.

" And no one speaks like that anymore. " Mai said, looking forward.

Standing on opposite ends, Todo and Noritoshi stared at the other from across the field. Naoya stood in the middle with a stone in his hand and then flicked it into the air. He quickly moved out of the way, standing beside the others before the stone reached its peak and began falling down to the ground. The sound caused by the contact between the rock and the ground signified the start of the fight.

Todo launched himself forward at incredible speeds, throwing a strong right hook at Noritoshi's face. This was his test, to see if Noritoshi's increase was actually worth a damn to make this fight interesting, as he had felt Noritoshi's increase in cursed energy amount, and skill through the way his cursed energy flowed through his body.

Noritoshi witnessed the punch coming towards him and activated Flowing Red Scale, moving back and a bit to the right, redirecting Todo's punch with his left hand, grabbing Todo's wrist as he pivoted his body into Todo's while wrapping his right arm around Todo's to throw him over his shoulder and slam him to the ground.

Todo stared at the sky while laying on the ground in shock wondering what happened before the event registered in his head

" Did you guys see what I just saw? " Miwa asked.

" Yes, we did. " Utahime said. " Noritoshi threw Todo over his shoulder. What did you tell him? "

" Just some words of encouragement. " Naoya said, taking a sip of his Coke.

" Oi Noritoshi, " Todo called out as he stood up staring at his fellow second-year with a grin, " You do realize that I'm going to kill you now right? "

" Yes Todo, I'm aware. So why haven't done so? " Noritoshi countered intensely, his eyes radiating intensity, an intensity Todo's eye's matched, as they threw a punch at the same time, their fists colliding with enough force to create a small creator.

Blow for blow, neither had the upper hand but the balance was broken, tipping in Todo's favor. Putting Noritoshi in a wrist-lock, pulling him forward before landing a powerful backhand to the face. Noritoshi remained on his feet, putting his arms up to block the numerous punches Todo aimed at him, performing a combo of a jab, hook all with his left hand, and ending the combo with a rear hook with his right hand.

Seeing Noritoshi able to block the attacks, Todo performed the same combo but ended with an underhand strike, launching Noritoshi into the air. Caught off guard, Noritoshi reacted quickly enough to barely block the roundhouse kick from Todo. Todo did another roundhouse kick with his other foot which Noritotoshi blocked. Using his right leg, he punted Noritoshi's arms upwards, exposing his stomach, and Todo slammed his right foot into it with a back kick, launching Noritoshi back.

Coughing out blood, Noritoshi grinned as Todo rushed in, not giving him any time to rest, as Todo sensed Noritoshi wasn't ready to go down just yet. Using his cursed technique, Noritoshi created a wall made from the blood he spat out. Thanks to his binding vow, the blood increased in volume in a split second and was hardened enough to block Todo's punch.

Todo quickly backed off, the spikes that tried to impale him seen on the wall. Noritoshi kept his hand on the hardened blood wall and quickly transformed it back into a liquid. Hardened blood cannot be duplicated, such as when his blood stains the ground. He can't use that blood. Taking his hand off the blood wall would keep the blood hardened and it becomes unusable.

With the blood flowing around him, Noritoshi attacked Todo, sending spikes of blood straight at Todo which weaved through the attacks. Seeing this, Todo couldn't help but grin. Before Noritoshi couldn't even contest against him, now he is able actually able to put up a decent fight.

Making small orbs of blood, Noritoshi controlled them to surround Todo, increasing the pressure to use Piercing blood. Todo clapped his hands, the attacks aimed at him were now aimed at Noritoshi.

Realizing that Noritoshi stopped the attacks, inches away from his face. Realizing the breath he held unconsciously, he swiveled his head towards Todo, who should be surrounded by blood.

But he wasn't, and Noritoshi felt pain when Todo punched him in the face from a blind spot. Getting launched back, Noritoshi uprighted himself onto one knee as more blood fell from his nose and mouth.

He looked up at Todo while controlling the blood he had in the air to come to him, once swirling around him. Todo smirked, knowing how Noritoshi's shortcomings in this fight and has a way to beat him.

Noritoshi on the hand was recuperating, taking advantage of the fact Todo wasn't attacking but knew that for each second that passes, Todo has more time to think.

Steadying himself, Noritoshi created four Slicing Exorcisms that spun around him at high speed. Launching two of them at Todo, before rushing in himself with Flowing Red Scale.

However, Todo wasn't phased, instantly catching on to Noritodhi's train of thought, and planned accordingly. The Slicing Exorcisms would be able to sever his limbs from the rest of his body easily...

if they hit.

Noritoshi was doing way too much to very little effect, controlling multiple projectiles at once to surround the opponent the way he has drained his cursed energy constantly.

Todo knew this and played the long game, his Curse Technique allowing him to wear down Noritoshi bit by bit, along with powerful blows to his body. But he has to give him credit, Noritoshi was now an opponent who he had to use Boogie Woogie to defeat.

But in the end, Norotoshi fell short. If he played his cards right, he might have won. Noritoshi fell to the ground exhausted while Todo looked fresh as a daisy as the fight came to an end.
