Inside Jujutsu High, Michael has already settled in one of the dorm rooms near Fushiguro and Itadori.

Mieul has already called his family back in Canada, the family of the Michael from the jujutsu world.

Originally, Mieul was living on Japan away from his family. Pursuing independency away from them. Even moving out of the country so that even if he ever gets the urge to get help from them for basic needs, it is impossible to do so.

Although a bit extreme, he managed to curb his laziness and procrastination. This method was only possible because his family was initially well off financially and supported him for the first year. His family thought that it was just the whims of a young adult and he will eventually come back after he spent all the money he brought.

Unfortunately or fortunately, Michael disappointed his family's negativity and managed to find a self sufficient job after the first year and have been living by himself ever since. Despite not being able to speak Japanese very well, he managed to find a job in Japan due to a fortunate encounter. The manager of his previous job was able to speak fluent English. The man took pity on Michael and decided to hire him initially out of impulse. Nevertheless Michael was a hard worker and managed to keep his job proudly. His family comes to visit him every once in a while to see how he's doing.

Since the profession of Jujutsu Sorcery pays even more than his previous job, there is no problems with his living situation. It is even better, since now that he lives inside the school among the others, he does not have to pay rent.

Michael has already met Yuji Itadori and have been on good terms with him. Unlike what Michael originally thought that his age will cause some complications, because he is after all more than four years older than everyone and that is counting even the third year student, Kinji Hakari, that Michael never saw in the series, everybody didn't care of it and treated him just like any other first year student.

A few days after Michael woke up, Gojo decided that it was now time for him to start trying to control his jujutsu. Unlike the original story, Gojo does not go with Fushiguro and Itadori to pick up Nobara Kugisaki and instead stayed with Michael to guide him on the basics, or at least how it was supposed to go.

On the training grounds of Jujutsu High two men can be seen standing in the middle of the field.

"So~ bye bye. Have fun!"

Out of nowhere, Gojo leaves Michael to train by himself.

"What!? Wait! Gojo-sensei! GOJO-SENSEI!"

Flashback to the start of Michael's training day.

"Good morning Michael-kun."

"Good morning Gojo-sensei."

"Anyway, long story short, I can't teach you at all."

"Haaaa?!"

"Well to be exact no one can, specially even if I can't."

"The flow of your cursed energy is different from everyone else. Since your ability is always in an active state when you're awake, everything is going to that one spot in the middle of your chest."

'Really you can't even call it a flow. It's just a one way trip, no cycle at all.'

Back to the present, Michael is left alone in the middle of the field.

'He probably just wanted an excuse to skip out when he said he'll train me.'

'This shouldn't be hard right? We have six eyes after all.'

'You're gonna jinx it'

Two hours later...

"Why the fuck is nothing working!"

'Told you.'

"Shut up!"

Four hours later.

"Yo, Michael-kun, how's it going?"

"Why do you care?"

"Ooooo~ someone is in a bad mood."

"I am in a bad mood, Gojo."

"I'm gonna seriously gonna slap you, where'd the sensei go?"

"Uh, my sensei left me this morning and never came back."

"What do you mean, your sensei left to get you food after all your hard work."

"Right, you left for like six hours just to get food, and so? where is it?"

"Oh, I ate it, got hungry you see."

A vein pops on Michael's forehead. His emotions flaring and his absorption stopped for a moment. Mieul, who is inside the mind of Michael saw this event more clearly.

'Michael... Michael... Michael!'

'WHAT!'

'Uh, the jujutsu stopped absorbing for a moment.'

'It did? Looks normal to me.'

'It was earlier when you flared up at your Gojo-sensei, you dumbass, you weren't paying attention. Lucky for you, I was! Remember it!'

The conversation between the two has left Michael's body unfocused on the middle of the field, his eyes seemingly looking into the horizon. Gojo, who sees this does not do anything and simply smiles and leaves again, thoughts running through his head unknown to anyone but himself.

Back to the mindscape of Michael, the two are still trying to figure out why the ability suddenly did something different earlier.

'Oh I get it, I wanted to use Abyss to kill him.'

'And what have you been trying to control the past six hours?'

'Cursed energy duhhh- OH MIEUL YOU'RE A GENIUS.'

What Michael has been trying to do was break away cursed energy from the control of his jujutsu, however, the only thing that Michael has been able to do was tire himself out and the energy would go back to being pulled by the jujutsu.

In the next hour, Michael has made more progress than he had the full day.

Instead of trying to control the energy itself, the proper way was to control the source of the pull, namely Abyss.

By controlling where the energy will be pulled, a flow can be achieved and simultaneously reinforcement of the body. With this, the body will be capable of supernatural feats normally believed to be humanly impossible. By imbuing even greater amounts of cursed energy into the body parts, greater effects can be achieved such as hardening the skin and punching through walls by putting cursed energy into one's fists.
