15 Suguru Geto

March 2007

Senju Palace,

Hiroshi walked towards the production area of the Senju Clan, the place where cursed weapons are forged by weaponsmiths. As he moved, clansmen frequently greeted him with good mornings or by bowing; he responded with a smile and returned the greetings.

The ambiance of the production area buzzed with the hustle and bustle of creation. As more cursed weapons broke due to combat, the need to manufacture and maintain new ones to arm sorcerers increased.

Hiroshi approached the head smith. "Yo, Benjiro!" he greeted.

"Hello, Patriarch. Here are the cursed weapons you requested. The Inverted Spear of Heaven has been attached to a pole, making it a literal spear. The Split Soul Katana has been equipped with a sheath, and the Chain of a Thousand Miles has been repaired," Benjiro reported, handing over a scroll containing Hiroshi's arsenal.

"What about the firearms?" Hiroshi inquired.

"Everything is there, Patriarch. Good enough to arm a company of soldiers," Benjiro responded.

"Thanks," Hiroshi said as he headed to his personal training ground.

Hiroshi would practice his target shooting and mastery over non-innate cursed techniques, as well as his arsenal daily, using multiple clones while his real body skimmed through the clan library where all techniques, knowledge, and history are stored.

Hiroshi opened a book titled "Senju Non-Innate Techniques."

As he delved into the book, he discovered many non-innate techniques that were combinations of techniques from the Uzumaki and Senju, along with a few miscellaneous ones.

While he was focused on reading, someone tapped on his table. Looking up, he saw it was his uncle.

"Hiroshi, how are you, nephew?" Oji asked casually.

"Well, you know, being clan leader is quite easy when you have clones to take care of day-to-day matters. Not much is happening, although there's an impending contest between me and Satoru for the title of Strongest. I plan to broadcast it across the Sorcerer World as pay-per-view," Hiroshi chuckled.

Hearing about clones, Senju Hiroto recalled his days as acting clan head, burdened with paperwork and responsibilities, while his nephew casually sat in the library reading. Then there was his plan to make their fight with the Gojo heir a pay-per-view event. One could only envy such ease.

"Must be nice... Back to the topic, your aunt and I will be going on a vacation in Europe," Hiroto shared.

"Why are you telling me this?" Hiroshi asked.

"Just a heads-up to the Patriarch. That's really everything," Hiroto said.

"Have fun, Oji. Take this card as well, to keep my credit score up," Hiroshi said, handing over a credit card to his uncle.

A Few Minutes Later.

Hiroshi's phone rang, and upon answering, he was greeted by a Senju clansman delivering promising news. "Patriarch, we have found an ideal location you were looking for," the clansman reported.

"Where?" Hiroshi inquired with interest.

"160 nautical miles from the Ogasawara Islands," came the reply.

"Alright, make sure that island is ours," Hiroshi instructed decisively.

"Yes, Patriarch," the clansman acknowledged before the call was ended.

August 2007

Jujutsu Tech,

Hiroshi came upon his friends Shoko and Suguru tossing objects at Satoru.

"Yo," Hiroshi greeted.

"Hey, Hiroshi," Suguru returned the greeting.

"Hello, Hiroshi," Shoko chimed in.

Hiroshi observed the multitude of objects halting before Satoru. "So, this is the part where he has flipped his Limitless to automatic," he noted.

"So, Satoru, what's with that?" Hiroshi inquired about Satoru's practice.

"Did it automatically select the target for the cursed technique?" Suguru asked.

"Yes, but to be more precise, the target of the cursed technique is me," Satoru explained. "I've turned the manual control into an automatic mode. Not just the strength of the cursed energy, but it can also assess the danger level of objects based on their mass, speed, and shape. It would be ideal if it could also detect poison, but that's still somewhat challenging. This way, I can keep my Limitless Cursed Technique active with minimal resources."

"If you keep it active all the time, you're going to fry your brain," Shoko commented.

"Within the range of self-replenishment, I'll use the Reverse Cursed Technique as well. My brain will always stay refreshed. I've perfected the shortcut hand signs I've been practicing: Red and Blue. I've essentially mastered the simultaneous activations of these two. My next goal is domain and long-distance teleportation. If I start from the school and prepare a clear route, I think I can succeed. Shoko, may I borrow the lab rat?" Satoru inquired.

"Really pushing yourself, Satoru? I've already prepared the venue," Hiroshi smirked.

"December 24th?" Satoru proposed.

"Sure," Hiroshi agreed. He looked at Suguru and then asked, "So, Suguru, how's the RCT practice?"

"Pretty goo-" Suguru was cut off as Hiroshi gave him a small slash on his arm.

"Show me," Hiroshi demanded.

Suguru debated whether to hit Hiroshi for his methods. He sighed. "You know, you don't always have to be such an ass," Suguru reproached Hiroshi.

As he used the Reverse Cursed Technique to heal his wound, Hiroshi nodded in approval. "Excellent. How about Domain Expansion?" Hiroshi probed further.

"Still in an incomplete state," Suguru explained. As he did, Hiroshi observed Suguru keenly, aware that being defeated by Toji and the controlled revelation of the true nature of the world would inevitably change Suguru. However, Hiroshi was determined to manage that transformation, ensuring that even if Suguru were to fall, he wouldn't veer completely off course.

As Satoru dedicated himself to refining his practice, Shoko, likewise, opted out of high-risk missions. In this timeline, it was Hiroshi who stood by Suguru Geto, accompanying him through his myriad of missions. Hiroshi, carrying the wisdom of his previous life, was acutely aware of the isolation Suguru had faced, an isolation magnified by Satoru's ascension to unparalleled strength. This solitude had not only exposed Suguru to the darkest facets of their world but also left him haunted by the relentless memories of the Star Religious Group and the tragic demise of Amanai Riko. However, in this life, Hiroshi had already altered the course of fate by saving Riko from death. By actively participating alongside Suguru in his missions, Hiroshi was taking deliberate steps to shield his cherished friend from descending into the abyss. Through these concerted efforts, Hiroshi sought not just to change the outcome of certain events but to fundamentally prevent the fall of a dear friend, ensuring Suguru's path diverged from the tragic trajectory that had once seemed inevitable.

Hiroshi and Suguru were returning from a mission, their hands busy with cans of soda. Oddly enough, their recent tasks involved investigating outbreaks of cursed spirits. As they delved into their findings, they discovered a troubling trend: many of the cursed spirits had originated from sorcerers who met their demise due to the abuse inflicted by non-sorcerers, whether intentional or not.

Sighing, Hiroshi couldn't help but reflect on the events that had transpired during this time frame. "No wonder Suguru went off the rails," he mused to himself.

Taking a seat beside Suguru, Hiroshi initiated a conversation. "How are you holding up, Suguru? These cases are rather challenging, aren't they?" he remarked, attempting to lighten the mood.

Suguru, lost in thought, responded with a heavy sigh. "I never realized how cruel non-sorcerers could be," he confessed.

"Indeed, monkeys can be quite cruel. That's why I made sure you and Satoru witnessed firsthand the brutality of their actions," Hiroshi acknowledged.

"But how are you so unaffected by all of this?" Suguru inquired, puzzled by Hiroshi's apparent nonchalance.

"Me? I've grown accustomed to it. Besides, the cruelty of humans doesn't surprise me anymore," Hiroshi replied, taking a swig of his soda.

Suguru fell into a pensive silence, prompting Hiroshi to interject with a light-hearted remark. "Remember, Suguru, a man who thinks only has his thoughts," he chuckled, attempting to alleviate the heavy atmosphere.

Not quite catching the joke, Suguru remained lost in thought until Hiroshi offered some advice. "Don't dwell too much on the depressing subjects, Suguru. That's how I cope with them—accepting things for what they are," Hiroshi shared.

Taking a deep breath, Suguru nodded in understanding. "Perhaps you're right, Hiroshi," he conceded.

Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Yu Haibara, who greeted them warmly. "Ah, Getou-san," he addressed Suguru before turning to Hiroshi. "Senju-san."

"Hello, Haibara. No mission for you yet?" Hiroshi inquired.

"We're heading out tomorrow, quite a distance," Haibara informed them.

"Really? Don't forget to bring back souvenirs," Suguru quipped.

"Sweet or salty?" Haibara asked, eager to fulfill their request.

"I'll take mine salty," Hiroshi replied.

"I prefer sweet. Looks like I have something in common with Satoru," Suguru remarked with a faint smile.

"Alright, got it!" Haibara exclaimed, pleased to have their preferences noted.

As Hiroshi stepped out for a moment to relieve himself, Suguru took the opportunity to engage Yu Haibara in conversation.

"Haibara, do you ever find it challenging to continue working as a Jujutsu sorcerer?" Suguru inquired.

Haibara pondered the question for a moment before responding with enthusiasm. "Well… I'm not one to dwell too deeply on such matters. I feel fantastic being able to give it my all and contribute in any way I can," he replied with conviction.

"I see," Suguru acknowledged, his mind wandering as he processed Haibara's response. Despite his introspective questioning, Suguru's mental state was notably more stable than it had been in the past.

Meanwhile, as Hiroshi stepped out, he encountered a certain Special Grade Sorcerer.

"Are you Senju-kun?" Yuki inquired.

Hiroshi regarded Yuki with a playful expression before responding. "Well, well, yes, that's me. What's a babe like you doing out here?" he flirted, a smirk playing on his lips.

Yuki, undeterred by Hiroshi's charm, struck a pose with a jacket draped over her shoulder and posed a question in return. "So, what type of woman do you like?"

"I like a woman with curves like yours," Hiroshi replied smoothly.

Yuki, noting Hiroshi's attempts at flirtation, chuckled softly before responding, "Unfortunately, you're not my type, but I must admit, you're quite handsome."

"Well, that's a shame," Hiroshi quipped. "So, what brings you here, Yuki Tsukumo?" he asked, shifting to a more serious tone.

"I simply came to greet a fellow Special Grade Sorcerer. I've heard that Tengen didn't merge with the Star Plasma Vessel," Yuki explained.

"Oh, she did, just not in the way you might expect," Hiroshi clarified.

"I'll pay her a visit in the future. Please send my regards," Yuki said before making her way inside.

As Yuki and Suguru continued their conversation inside, Haibara unexpectedly ran into Hiroshi outside. Hiroshi gestured for Haibara to come over.

"Haibara, if your mission turns out to be too dangerous, don't hesitate to run, alright? Someone else will handle it," Hiroshi advised, showing concern for his colleague's safety.

"That's understood, Senpai. But as a Sorcerer, I won't flee if it's necessary. After all, it's our duty to exorcise curses," Haibara responded confidently. "I'll see you later, Senju-san," he added before walking away to prepare for his upcoming mission.

Observing Haibara's departure, Hiroshi called out to his surroundings, summoning two individuals named Rei and Daichi, who were two of his five Personal Guards. They saluted Hiroshi as he issued his instructions.

"Yes, Patriarch," they acknowledged.

"Follow Haibara and Nanami on their mission. Report back on the type of deity they are tasked to exorcise, and be prepared to rescue them if necessary. Assist them only in critical moments. I don't want them to feel as though I don't trust them if they were to discover that I've sent someone for their protection," Hiroshi instructed with authority.

"By your will, Patriarch," Rei and Daichi replied before departing to carry out their orders.

Shortly afterward, Suguru and Yuki emerged, with Yuki preparing to leave on her motorcycle.

"I'm heading out. Actually, I wanted to say hello to Gojo, but it seems I've arrived at the wrong time. As Special Grade sorcerers, let's show kindness to one another," Yuki remarked to Hiroshi and Suguru before speeding off on her motorcycle.

"We'll pass on the message to him," Hiroshi assured her.

As Yuki rode away, she pondered something she had forgotten.

"Oh! He never told me his type," she thought to herself, realizing that Geto Suguru had never shared his preference in women with her.

Suguru stood there, gazing at the fading silhouette of Yuki as she sped away, his mind clearly preoccupied with the weight of his thoughts. Hiroshi, perceptive as ever, sensed that Suguru was deeply considering the path he should take.

"Hiroshi, what if we just kill all the 'monkeys'?" Suguru suddenly asked, seeking Hiroshi's opinion on such a drastic course of action.

Hiroshi's initial response was laughter, "Hahahaha." However, he quickly realized Suguru was entirely serious. "You're serious?... Don't tell me you're planning to go full on Thanos?" Hiroshi queried, a hint of concern in his voice.

"Who's Thanos?" Suguru inquired, puzzled by the reference. Hiroshi, remembering that while Marvel Comics existed, the Marvel Cinematic Universe had not yet begun its depiction of Thanos, corrected himself.

"He's a character who wiped out half of the universe's population," Hiroshi explained. "Someone you plan to emulate... Listen, Suguru, if you're aiming for a world without curses, we might have a chance to address that in a few years," Hiroshi suggested, hinting at a broader context.

"What's going to happen in the next few years, Hiroshi?" Suguru pressed, intrigued by Hiroshi's apparent foreknowledge.

"An upheaval, led by the King of Curses and a millennia-old sorcerer. They aim to change the world, to return it to the Heian era," Hiroshi stated seriously, conveying the gravity of the future events. "That's why we wait. Even if you're contemplating genocide, it won't be feasible because humanity itself will undergo transformation," Hiroshi explained, hinting at his awareness of events like the Shibuya Incident without revealing too much.

"But keep this between us for now. I'll inform Satoru about it later," Hiroshi added, signaling the need for discretion.

Suguru nodded, absorbing Hiroshi's words. "Let's go home," he said, his stance relaxing slightly. Hiroshi's revelations seemed to have provided Suguru with a broader perspective, if not entirely dissuading him from his darker thoughts, then at least offering a pause for consideration.

Jujutsu Tech Infirmary

A Few Days Later,

A few days later, Haibara lay on the hospital bed with Shoko attending to his wounds while Nanami sat nearby, a towel draped over his head.

"Shit, that was a local deity. The people of that place worshipped that thing," Nanami cursed, clearly rattled by the encounter. "It was supposed to be an exorcism for a 2nd Grade Spirit. Thankfully, there were two Senju sorcerers on patrol at that time," he added, acknowledging the crucial role played by the Senju clan.

Suguru, concerned for Haibara's well-being, inquired, "How is he?"

"He will live. Thankfully, you got him here in time; otherwise, it would've been dangerous," Shoko reassured him.

Curious about the events, Suguru asked Nanami, "What happened to the local deity?"

Nanami explained, "The deity was exorcised with the help of the two Senju Sorcerers. Its strength was borderline Special Grade. It could control lightning and wind, and Haibara was struck by its lightning multiple times." He glanced at Haibara, who lay unconscious on the bed. "To be honest, I was prepared for death at that time. But thankfully, two Senju Sorcerers were on patrol. Although they have a tendency to interfere in matters that don't concern them, for us, it was a lifesaving grace."

Nanami continued, "When they arrived, the deity was bound in chains immediately. Perhaps it's a non-innate cursed technique from the Senju, as those chains weakened the deity and prevented its use of cursed techniques. And the amount of cursed energy they possess is impressive, although not on the level of a Special Grade."

Nanami sighed in relief, "Thank the Senju. It didn't take much time to exorcise it once it was bound. One Senju Sorcerer used water, while the other used earth to attack, and it was exorcised. They even gave us a ride here."

Suguru sighed in relief, deep in thought. "The marathon game called being a Jujutsu sorcerer is a game of survival, but...perhaps with the help of companions and friends, we can make a difference. Death is a part of a sorcerer's journey, but we can mitigate it with the help of companions and...family," he contemplated, thinking of Satoru and Hiroshi, their trio of the strongest, and their healer, Shoko.

"Maybe you're right, Hiroshi," Suguru thought.

At this moment, Suguru was convinced by Hiroshi's words that perhaps genocide wasn't such a good idea.

-----------

Rei and Daichi knelt in front of Hiroshi as he stood overlooking Tokyo.

"Report," Hiroshi commanded.

"Patriarch, the local deity has been exorcised—a cursed spirit on the border of Special Grade. Haibara Yu and Kento Nanami have been saved. Haibara Yu was injured but is now healed by Miss Ieiri," Rei reported.

"The local deity had a cursed technique of weather control, lightning, and wind. Although, once it was hit by the Adamantite Sealing Chains, it was easily exorcised," Daichi added.

Hiroshi, listening, nodded. "Good work, you will be rewarded accordingly."

"Thank you, Patriarch. It is our honor," Rei and Daichi said in unison.

Hiroshi was deep in thought. "I have saved Amanai Riko and Haibara Yu. Suguru won't fall now...I hope," Hiroshi considered.

September 6, 2009

Suguru was assigned to a village to investigate the cursed spirit thought to be causing mysterious disappearances.

As Suguru was walking out from Jujutsu High, Hiroshi stood by their car alongside the assistant manager.

"Yo, Suguru," Hiroshi greeted. This past month, Hiroshi had been closely monitoring for the mission that would involve Mimiko and Nanako in a certain village, and now that Suguru was assigned to it, Hiroshi decided to accompany him to prevent the slaughter of the villagers.

"Hey, Hiroshi. I thought you were busy," Suguru smirked, happy since he had chosen his path.

"Well, you know, I got bored, and my clones are holding down the fort at the clan. So, as the real body, I decided to go out and have some fun," Hiroshi smiled.

"Exorcism is fun?" Suguru asked.

"It's fun with friends, no?" Hiroshi casually replied.

As they conversed, they got into the car, driven by the assistant manager.

As they arrived at a distance from the village, they got out of the car. Hiroshi waved at the assistant manager as they walked towards the village.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the village and were greeted by the village head, who took them to a cage imprisoning two children.

Upon seeing this, Suguru was speechless.

"What... is this?" Hiroshi asked, clearly annoyed at the state the poor children were in.

"Isn't it obvious?" the villager replied.

"These two are the cause of the series of incidents."

"These two killed my grandson," a villager woman added.

Suguru summoned a cursed spirit, which assured the two children, "It's going to be alright."

The two children stared at the cursed spirit emanating from Suguru's finger, confirming they could see curses.

"How about we step out for a bit?" Hiroshi suggested to the two villagers, and as they moved outside, Hiroshi informed them that the curses had been exorcised, while Suguru escorted Mimiko and Nanako away.

-----------

On a hill overlooking the village, Suguru and Hiroshi looked at the village and then at each other.

"Hey, Suguru, are you okay?" Hiroshi inquired.

"I'm fine, Hiroshi. A few monkeys are not going to ruin my mood," Suguru responded, glancing at Mimiko and Nanako, who were looking back at them.

"Are you guys hungry?" Suguru asked the two.

They nodded eagerly.

"Although, I know you say that, but I know you're bothered by it. So, let me show you something," Hiroshi said, opening his phone and making a call. "Yes, Patriarch?" the voice over the phone responded.

"Tell that terrorist group that they have an opportunity to land in Japan. Make sure that all of their members and the entire organization are able to take hold of this particular village, as long as they leave no one alive. Then have the army clean them up once they're done. I want everything clean in a few hours," Hiroshi ordered.

"Yes, Patriarch. That terrorist group has been waiting near the coast. I will message them now," came the response, and the phone call was ended.

When Hiroshi and Suguru returned, the assistant manager checked the village and wrote his report, marking it as a successful exorcism. They then made their way back to Jujutsu Tech.

An hour later, Hiroshi allowed Suguru to look at the live coverage of the village they had just visited. Gunshots echoed, and Suguru watched as non-sorcerers killed each other.

"The village that discriminated against sorcerers, that hard is gone," Hiroshi remarked, as Suguru observed the chaos unfolding on the screen.

Something inside Suguru felt relieved, but the realization that he found relief in the deaths of non-sorcerers made him question himself. However, he had already chosen his path, so this was just the icing on the cake.

"Thanks, Hiroshi," Suguru said with a crazed smile on his face. Hiroshi nodded in response. "But dude, you gotta unwind. That crazed look on your face says it all. Although I'm glad you didn't choose genocide," Hiroshi remarked.

"I have chosen my path, Hiroshi. Thank you. I'm looking forward to the world where the King of Curses and that millennia-old sorcerer will cause an upheaval in the current society," Suguru declared.

"What about Mimiko and Nanako?" Hiroshi inquired.

"I think I'll raise them," Suguru replied.

The next day, the news reported that a terrorist group had been wiped out by the army, but not before significant losses to the villagers. The state mourned the loss of the village for a few days before moving on.

Hiroshi had successfully changed Suguru Geto's mindset.

160 Miles from Ogasawara Island

Hiroshi and Satoru stood a few meters away from each other.

"Took you long enough, Satoru," Hiroshi smirked, wearing a martial artist outfit as did Satoru.

"Yes, Hiroshi, but I believe I'm ready," Satoru replied, his eyes glowing blue with power.

The Battle of the Strongest was about to commence.

A/N: Sukuna has Hit a Black Flash again Tell me is this the Sukuna Cycle again?
