4 Volume 1: Chapter 4: Cursed Techniques & Cursed Users

Location: Satoshi's Bedroom

POV: Kokketsu Satoshi

It was nighttime.

After getting our sweet rewards, we had dinner with our parents.

Unfortunately, Gojo's father wasn't with us due to work issues.

After dinner, everyone fell asleep from working all day and Gojo decided to secretly binge-watch Dragon Ball Z.

He asked me to join him, but I declined since I had a lot of work to do.

Which leaves us today.

I was sitting cross-legged on my bed as I made two hand signs as I summoned my Shikigami.

Kokketsu: "Fox."

From my shadow emerges a 3-foot orange fox with glowing red eyes.

Kokketsu: "Good evening Fox. Sorry to disturb you."

Fox shook her head as she spoke.

Fox: "Good evening as well, Kokketsu-sama. How may I be of service to you tonight?"

I smiled as I gave Fox a head pat.

Kokketsu: "For now, nothing. I just wanna hang out with my Shikigami, that's all."

Fox just closed her eyes as she wagged her tail.

Kokketsu: 'Fox, my first Shikigami who I got from my and Satoru's 5th birthday. I haven't summoned any other Shikigami since I wanted to master her abilities. When I asked God to change one of the Shikigami, I didn't expect that he would change almost all of them.'

I thought as I was recalling my Cursed Techniques.

Let's start with Blood Manipulation.

It's the Cursed Technique that allows me to internally or externally control and shape my blood, including its aspects such as blood composition, plasma, and red blood cells, beyond its natural form or motion for a variety of effects.

And as I told Gojo before, I made a Binding Vow to lose my blood's poisonous properties in exchange for having my blood nullify Cursed Techniques.

These are its original 5 Extension Techniques:

1. Flowing Red Scale: It increases my body temperature, pulse rate, and red blood cell production, which gives me enhanced physical capabilities and increased energy.

2. Crimson Binding: This uses my blood to ensnare and immobilize my targets. I transform my blood into chains because they remind me of Enkidu's Chains.

3. Slicing Exorcism: This is a long-range attack that slices my targets. I used Fuma Shurikens as a reference.

4. Convergence: This technique compresses my blood to its limit for various uses. I use this in tandem with my other techniques.

5. Piercing Blood: This technique fires my blood like a high-powered waterjet which cuts through solid objects like a hot knife through butter. It's kinda similar to Ichimaru Gin's Zanpakuto, Shinso.

I have yet to recreate Choso's Techniques and would later create other blood-based techniques from other franchises.

Next, we have the Nine Shadows Technique.

It lets me summon 9 unique Shikigami from the shadows with the use of shadowgraphic hand signs.

I can also manipulate the shadows as if they are a Symbiote/Klyntar, and I can use the shadow as an inventory.

Currently, I only have 1 Shikigami available:

1. Ninth Shadow: Fox: An orange fox that can create a total of eight Fox clones, transform into inanimate objects, and substitute places with me.

As for the other 8 Shikigami, I'll leave it a secret for future chapters to be revealed.

If you are wondering why there are only 9 Shadows, let's just say God made a secret technique for a Nine Shadows User to summon 'you-know-who.'

And finally, we have Projection Sorcery.

This was one of the most complicated Cursed Techniques in JJK.

To keep it simple, it lets me predetermine my movements at 24 FPS, making it look like I have super speed.

It can also affect others through physical contact and if they don't follow the predetermined movements, they get trapped in a frame for a second.

I haven't mastered this Technique yet, so I mostly used it for fast movement and for trapping opponents.

Hopefully, I can find a way to increase the FPS soon.

Fox: "Kokketsu-sama? Is there something on your mind?"

I blinked as Fox knocked me out of my train of thought.

Kokketsu: "It's okay. Just thinking about something."

While Fox rested her head on my lap in peace, she just said.

Fox: "Is this about you falling into the shadows, Kokketsu-sama?"

...

That's not what I thought about but thanks for reminding me, Fox.

Kokketsu: "Do you know something about this, Fox?"

She said.

Fox: "That realm's energy signature is somewhat similar to the shadows that the Nine Shadows Technique produces when summoning us Shikigami. I have a theory, but more information is needed. I apologize if this information is not satisfying, Kokketsu-sama."

I just shook my head as I started giving Fox a pat on the head.

Kokketsu: "It's alright. Maybe we'll get the answers next time. And speaking of which, I gotta ask. Where do you guys go when I desummon you?"

She closed her eyes in enjoyment as she replied.

Fox: "When we are no longer needed in battle, we travel back into our Innate Domain that is bound within the current Nine Shadows User, Kokketsu-sama. If you are wondering what my Innate Domain looks like, it appears as a vast grass field surrounded by trees while it's midday. I hope that information will be beneficial to you, Kokketsu-sama."

I nod as I look at the evening sky from my window.

Kokketsu: 'So far, my current training lets me go toe to toe with Gojo who can take down a Grade 1 with relative ease, but it's not enough to deal with Special Grade Sorcerers or Curses. As for the current state of the world, I've been hearing from other servants that the Curses are getting stronger by the year. As expected, both mine and Gojo's existence tip the balance of power worldwide. What bothers me most is that besides my existence, I haven't identified any differences from the original Canon. Then there's the Kenjaku and Sukuna issue. I have no clue if there are any cliche changes that I have to be careful about, like if there's an Anime Crossover or something equally weird. My knowledge of the plot can only get me so far since not everything is set in stone. For now, I should focus on mastering my abilities so that if there are any issues I face in the future, I can just curse my way out.'

I yawned as I lay on the bed while Fox just jumped in bed and lay next to me.

Kokketsu: "You're not gonna leave me alone again, are you?"

Fox made herself comfortable in my bed as she replied.

Fox: "It is my duty as your Shikigami to protect you from any harm Kokketsu-sama. You cannot be too careful."

I sighed as I let my body relax.

Kokketsu: "Whatever, goodnight Fox."

I closed my eyes as I fell asleep.

Time Skip: 4 Years Later

Location: Streets of Tokyo

POV: Third Person

Gojo: "This is so annoying. Why did I let you choose our next destination again?"

Kokketsu: "Three Words, Rock Paper Scissors. I won fair and square."

A pair of ten-year-old boys, Gojo Satoru and Kokketsu Satoshi, walk on the streets of Tokyo as they go to Kokketsu's chosen location.

Gojo was currently wearing a blue hoodie and shorts while Kokketsu was wearing a black hat, red jacket, and shorts.

Kokketsu: "Trust me Satoru. Once you get to taste this Ramen, you will never regret it."

Gojo just chuckled as he replied.

Gojo: "I'll be the judge of that, Satoshi. If I like it, you can have my candy stash, and if I don't, I get to keep your stash."

Kokketsu smirked.

Kokketsu: "Oh you are so gonna regret this."

As the two boys walked to the Ramen Shop, a middle-aged man on top of one of the buildings stared at the two with a vicious smile.

Jiro: 'Gojo Satoru, the sole heir to the Gojo Clan and is the current Six Eyes & Limitless user in the modern era. With a bounty of a hundred million.'

Inside a cafe, an elderly woman was waiting for her order as she looked at the two boys from the window.

Ogami: 'Kokketsu Satoshi, the child born from the forbidden union of a Zenin and a Kamo and is the current bearer of Nine Shadows Technique & Blood Manipulation. With a bounty of a hundred million.'

From the shadows and alleyways, a bunch of muscular men with bags on their heads were waiting.

From a faraway distance, a sniper was pointed at the two boys.

After a while, the two boys were secretly surrounded by nearly a hundred Cursed Users, ready to make the first kill.

Cursed Users: 'That bounty is mine!'

Then they engage...

...

...

...

... but they stopped.

They saw the two boys stop walking as they stood there in silence.

But what happened next shook all the Cursed Users.

Jiro grips the handrails tight in fear.

Ogami's hand that was holding the cup was shaking in fear.

The bag head man dropped their weapons in fear.

The sniper was hyperventilating in fear.

Every single Cursed User was consumed by fear.

And the cause of it was two innocent-looking boys.

Gojo was looking at where Jiro was standing while Kokketsu was looking at the cafe where Ogami was.

After what felt like an eternity, the two boys continued their walk to the Ramen Shop.

As they walked away they both said at the same time.

Gojo/Kokketsu: "Quit starting you weaklings."

The surrounding Cursed Users fell into despair as they not only failed their mission, they had also lost their freedom.

Cursed Users: 'As long as they live, we will never be free.'
