3 Volume 1: Chapter 3: A 'Simple' Spar

Time Skip: 1 Hour Later

POV: Kokketsu Satoshi

Kokketsu: 'That should be enough.'

A gallon of blood floats in front of me from the cut I made on my right thumb.

After a few seconds, as I compressed my blood, it started to look like a shiny red orb.

I wiped the sweat with the sleeve of my black kimono.

Kokketsu: "Phew. That was pretty exhausting."

I then looked at the rest of the floating red orbs as I asked.

Kokketsu: "So, how many did I make?"

Gojo replied with a bored tone.

Gojo: "369 red orbs, which is equivalent to 1,476 liters of blood. Congrats, you broke your record."

I nodded as I made a simple gesture to make them all orbit around me.

Kokketsu: "Okay then. Shall we start?"

Gojo smiled as we stood up and went to the center of the Training Grounds.

As we faced each other, a red mark started appearing on my face, and I felt hot all over my body.

Kokketsu: "Blood Manipulation: Flowing Red Scale."

Gojo's Six Eyes glow brightly as he just stood there.

Gojo: "Ready to get your butt kicked again, Satoshi?"

I smiled as the orbs started orbiting around me at high speeds.

Kokketsu: "Oh please, the last spar was a tie. Besides, it's 68-67. I still got the upper hand."

Gojo smirked as his Six Eyes activated and took a stance.

Gojo: "Let's see about that!"

He instantly appeared in front of me, but I remained calm as 60 orbs charged at him in all directions.

Gojo: "That won't work on me twice!"

A hundred orbs got frozen in place but I already anticipated this.

I instantly appeared in front of Gojo in a split second as I made the first strike, which he barely dodged.

We exchanged blows with our attacks being imbued with Cursed Energy.

After a while, Gojo tried to knock me to the ground, but I jumped as 100 orbs scattered around the battlefield as I snapped my fingers.

Kokketsu: "Blood Manipulation: Crimson Binding."

The orbs exploded into chains of blood that covered the battlefield and chained up Gojo.

Gojo: "Huh. Well, this is new. Why can't I use my Limitless?"

I just smirked as I calmly circled him.

Kokketsu: "It's called Blood Manipulation: Crimson Binding. It turns my blood into very durable chains that ensnare my targets. Normally, your Limitless can stop these chains effortlessly. But one week ago, I made the difficult choice to create a Binding Vow. In exchange for losing my blood's poisonous properties, my blood can now nullify Cursed Techniques."

I then felt a surge of energy as I continued.

Kokketsu: "Since I told you how it worked, it's now more effective. Keep up Satoru!"

I kicked Gojo on the head as he is now trapped inside a frame.

That's right, I have Projection Sorcery too.

It turns out this is one of the changes that God made.

I kicked him far away from me and instantly appeared next to him, trapped him in a frame, and hit him again.

I repeated the process a few times until Gojo managed to break the chains.

In my surprised state, he grabs my wrist in midair, throwing me away from him.

I tumbled to the ground for a bit until I managed to steady myself.

I frowned as I made a hand sign.

Kokketsu: "Fox."

From my shadow emerges a 3-foot orange fox with glowing red eyes.

Fox charged at Gojo and attempted to devour him but he used Infinity to block him and kicked Fox towards me.

But as he did, I already predetermined my next move in 24 frames and was now behind him in a second to form 9 blood Fuma Shurikens from 9 red orbs.

Kokketsu: "Blood Manipulation: Slicing Exorcism."

The shurikens spun at high speeds and darted towards Gojo.

But Gojo just smirked as he showed me a giant blue orb that he flicked toward me.

Kokketsu: 'What the- How did he- Is this guy for real?!'

Gojo: "Cursed Technique Lapse - Maximum Output: Blue."

The giant blue orb attracted the blood projectiles that were aimed at him, but not only that, it also starts sucking out the blood chains that surrounds us, some nearby objects, and 100 of my red orbs.

The giant blue orb was getting closer and closer, but as I was about to super speed away from it, I sank into the ground next to a tree's shadow.

The tree was not spared in the attractive force of the Maximum Output: Blue as all that was left in the aftermath was a destroyed battlefield covered in debris and blood.

Gojo: "Uhh... Oops."

Location: ???

Back to my POV, I was floating in a pitch-black space.

I looked around for anything, only to see a humanoid silhouette of Gojo's shadow.

If you're wondering what Gojo's shadow looks like, it's as if I can see the outside world from his shadow like watching the outdoors from an open window.

Kokketsu: 'Where the hell am I? It feels like I'm at the bottom of the ocean or something.'

I was holding my breath as there was no oxygen and mentally called out Fox.

Kokketsu: 'Fox. Help me out of here please.'

Fox appeared out of nowhere.

As I was about to ride her, I felt the eerie gaze of someone who was watching me.

I turned around to inspect, but I saw nothing.

Fox then guided me to the exit as I came out of Gojo's shadow.

Location: Training Grounds

Gojo: "Uhh... Oops."

I heard Gojo say as me and Fox appeared out of his shadow.

Gojo looked at me in surprise as I got off of Fox.

Gojo: "What just happened?"

I stared at him in annoyance.

Kokketsu: "I almost died is what happened. Did you have to use a Maximum Output on me? What if I died? Or worse? I may end up being trapped forever in wherever the hell I was."

Fox growled as she exploded in a puff of smoke and 8 more Foxes appeared.

Gojo just looked at them and gave me the "Really?" look as he used Infinity to block the 8 Foxes who started attacking him.

Gojo: "Says the guy who threw spinning saw blades toward my face. Besides, I knew you would survive, and so were even."

The Foxes just continued with the onslaught of attacks but Gojo decided to have fun and just evaded their every move.

As they were keeping Gojo occupied, I exploded into a puff of smoke as I swapped places with the original Fox who was a couple of feet away from Gojo.

Kokketsu: "If that's how you wanna play, fine. Two can play at that game, asshole. Blood Manipulation: Convergence: Stack."

I used my last 100 orbs to combine them into one singular blood orb.

I put my hands together and aimed towards Gojo as I said.

Kokketsu: "Blood Manipulation: Piercing Blood: Stack."

As I said this, Gojo sensed me as he blasted the Foxes away and readied himself for the blast.

Kokketsu: "Let's see if your Infinity can stop this, Six Eyes!"

In the blink of an eye, a crimson-red laser of blood blasted toward Gojo.

Gojo was on full alert as the crimson glowing beam was slowly reaching him inch by inch despite activating Infinity.

Gojo: "It's so fast that it can almost reach me. That's pretty cool."

Remember, this was Gojo Satoru who was a genius prodigy despite his childish tendencies.

For him to comment on this despite not using any Anti-Domain Techniques is one hell of an achievement.

Gojo: "Hey Gothboy! Wanna take this to the next level?"

I looked at his grin, to which I knew he was starting to take this seriously.

I smiled back as I started pouring everything I had to bypass his Infinity.

Kokketsu: "Blood Manipulation: Flowing Red Scale: Stack."

My veins started to feel like its been injected with molten lava and the red marks started spreading to my body.

As I felt getting stronger, I summoned all 9 Foxes by my side and yelled.

Kokketsu: "OH ITS ON SATORU!"

Gojo did the same as his Six Eyes glowed brightly and readied himself for Round 2.

Gojo: "BRING IT SATOSHI!"

As the real battle was about to get started, a pair of voices yelled.

Satsuki/Satomi: "BOTH OF YOU, THATS ENOUGH!"

I stopped Piercing Blood, Flowing Red Scale, and desummoned Fox while Gojo stopped his Limitless and his Six Eyes.

We slowly looked towards our respective mothers with one thing in our minds.

Kokketsu/Gojo: 'Crap. We're dead.'

They slowly walked towards us with eyes filled with the intent to kick our butts.

Satomi was the first to speak.

Satomi: "Satoru... Satoshi... Do you mind telling us why is the Training Ground in ruins AGAIN?"

My mother just crossed her arms as her stare started to bore a hole in my head.

We looked at each other as I talked first.

Kokketsu: "He started it. I just wanted a simple spar."

Gojo: "What the?! You almost killed me with Piercing Blood!"

Kokketsu: "Says the one who used a Maximum Output: Blue on me."

As he was about to retort, my mother said.

Satsuki: "Enough. You both are gonna fix this place before Yamato comes back tonight or else you're both grounded until tomorrow morning."

We both looked at her with shock.

Gojo: "What!? But there's a limited edition Fluffy Bunny Dango that's about to sell out tonight!"

Kokketsu: "What Satoru said!"

They both crossed their arms as they said.

Satsuki/Satomi: "We don't care."

Satomi: "You both reap what you sow, so you better start cleaning up."

Satsuki: "And NO using Cursed Techniques. Me and Sa-chan will be leaving for our business so the servants will be here watching you both."

As they both left us, the two servants appeared at where our moms were.

Gojo just groaned in frustration as he said.

Gojo: "Great, just great. Now my chances of getting that Dango are done for. It's gonna take us hours before we finish cleaning this place up."

I just sighed in defeat as I pat Gojo on the shoulder.

Kokketsu: "Come on, let's start right now before the sun goes down so we can buy those sweets."

I walked towards the nearby pile of broken planks.

Gojo just followed behind as I summoned 9 Foxes they moved some plants and broken pottery.

Gojo just looked at me as I replied.

Kokketsu: "They said we can't use Cursed Techniques, but they didn't say anything about using Shikigami to help clean up."

I said as I continued cleaning up, only to hear him snicker.

Gojo: "The person who finishes cleaning up gets to have the loser's sweets!"

He started cleaning up furiously as I smirked.

Kokketsu: "Oh, you're so gonna regret this, Six Eyes!"

A few hours later, we managed to finish the job as we barely made it to buy the special Dango.

Fortunately, we ended in a tie, so we both got to enjoy the fruits of our labor together.
