Chapter 17: Quality time

After a gruelling mission, Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi decided to take a well-deserved break and explore the vibrant streets of Tokyo. The trio strolled through the bustling city, taking in the eclectic mix of traditional and modern sights.

Nobara couldn't resist pointing out the latest fashion trends in the trendy districts, while Megumi observed the city with his usual calm demeanour. While Yuji was seeing the wonders this world has to offer.

Although it's been over a week since Yuji arrived in the world, he was excited due to discovering new energy, so he didn't give much thought to the places around him. But now, looking around, Yuji can say that it is indeed a beautiful place—not as beautiful as cosmic clusters.

As they passed by a street food vendor, the enticing aroma led them to indulge in some local delicacies. Yuji eagerly exclaimed, "This is amazing! We should try more of these snacks."

Nobara, with a mischievous grin, replied, "Agreed! But only if Megumi pays for the next round."

Megumi, ever the stoic one, sighed but didn't object. "Fine, but only this time."

They gathered around the street food vendor, sampling a variety of local delicacies. Yuji devoured his choices with enthusiasm, while Nobara savoured each bite with a satisfied expression. Megumi, though initially reserved, found himself enjoying the flavours of the city.

Amidst bites and laughter, they shared stories and impressions of the places they visited.

The trio continued their journey, weaving through crowds and enjoying the eclectic mix of modern and traditional sights. They stumbled upon a quaint shrine tucked away in a quiet corner, surrounded by cherry blossom trees.

"This place is beautiful," Megumi remarked, his gaze lingering on the serene surroundings.

Nobara nodded, adding, "Let's make a wish. Maybe something good will come out of it."

They each tossed a coin into the shrine's donation box and closed their eyes, silently making their wishes. Yuji, with a grin thought.

It's ironic to think that one day I came to their temple. If my old self saw this, he would be rolling on the floor laughing his ass off.

After making their wishes, the trio left the shrine with a sense of peace. The day had been a welcome reprieve from the challenges of their recent mission.

As they continued exploring, the neon lights of Tokyo began to illuminate the night. Streets adorned with paper lanterns and the distant hum of the city created a magical atmosphere. Yuji couldn't help but marvel at the contrast between the tranquillity of the shrine and the lively energy of the urban landscape.

Nobara, always attuned to the pulse of fashion, suggested checking out a nearby clothing store that had caught her eye. The trio ventured inside, their laughter echoing as they playfully tried on various outfits. Even Megumi, known for his reserved nature, found himself joining in on the fun.

As they emerged from the store, Yuji caught sight of a street performer showcasing mesmerizing juggling skills. Enthusiastically, he suggested, "Let's watch for a bit!"

They lingered, captivated by the performer's skilful manoeuvres. Nobara couldn't resist attempting a few spins herself, earning cheers and applause from onlookers. The impromptu performance added an unexpected and delightful twist to their evening.

After Nobara's chaotic performance, the trio stumbled upon a small traditional café tucked away in a quiet alley. They decided to take a break and enjoy the calming atmosphere. Seated around a low table, sipping on warm tea, they exchanged thoughts on the recent missions and dreams for the future.

Nobara leaned back, looking at the Tokyo skyline through the café's window. "You know, after all the curses we've dealt with, it's nice to just be here, together."

Yuji nodded, appreciating the sentiment. "Definitely. We should do this more often. It's important to unwind and recharge."

Megumi, usually reserved, added, "It's moments like these that make everything worthwhile."

The conversation turned to lighter topics as they discussed their favourite places in Tokyo.

While Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara were touring the city, Gojo, in his office, received a report.

The content of the report was about a strange and unnamed apparition of potential special grade witnessed by multiple non-jujutsu sorcerers. Due to the emergency, the higher-ups gave the order to dispatch a team immediately to the site.

Because of some unforseen circumstances (scheme), Yuji and his friend got this opportunity.
