23 Ch 23: Last Battle With Toji Part 2 [Bonus]

"Your tricks won't work on me now," he said, his mind in turmoil but he wasn't distracted.

Toji fought with his eyes closed ever since he awakened Heavenly Reading. Normal illusions were useless against him, but Heavenly Reading could briefly halt him.

In response, he attempted to activate Heavenly Reading using only his voice. It was challenging since it was a pupil technique, but he had succeeded a month ago. He saved it for a crucial battle against Toji, and now it was the perfect moment to use it.

Toji paused, not missing the chance, Quick Silver which had been previously deflected came back and pierced his abdomen, causing blood to spurt out.

Toji's abdomen had a small hole but Toji woke up the next moment.

"You're indeed training hard," Toji said, sliding down the stick, "...but you weren't decisive, you are not determined enough, TENSHI!"

Toji leaped off the stick, taking out his spear.

This spear was no ordinary cursed tool, 'The Thunder Splitting Spear', was a long spear in majestic white colour and Golden blades; It is said to have been forged inside thunderclouds.

It belonged to the most powerful Projection Sorcery user of the Zenin clan and emitted powerful thunder shocks, lethal to any enemy.

Although he had been paralyzed by it before which led to many of his defeats, Toji couldn't utilise it to its full potential, without Curse Energy, which gave him an advantage.

Seeing the spear hurtling towards him, he knew evasion was impossible. Toji was using all his power, leaving no room for resistance.

He enveloped himself in cursed energy once more, using his katanas to block.

It still proved to be useless as the spear shattered the katana, pierced his chest, and reached his heart, causing him to cough up blood.

He pulled out the spear and started to use the Reverse Curse Technique once again.

He knew, Toji had given him the weapon knowing he lacked offensive capabilities.

After ascending higher as he knew he couldn't match Toji's speed and strength on the ground, he held up the spear.

A bird cry pierced the sky as lightning gathered at the spear's tip, signalling the beginning of the next round.

'How do I defeat Toji?'

He thought, setting aside all distractions. Although his mobility was good, his speed wasn't, still it was better than facing the monster on the ground.

He took out a Golden Rope he got in an auction by bidding against the Kamo family, in his eyes this thing had great potential outside battle. The day he bought this thing, he had great dreams.

The 'The Golden Rope of Hope' might be the most useless special-grade cursed tool, it could stretch a bit and chase its targets until it binds them but it cannot resist their strength.

If used against beings stronger than Grade 2, it would break.

He unleashed it towards Toji while diving towards him.

It hurt badly, but Toji was rushing at him, he healed himself and got ready to attack.

Although he didn't want to lose this battle, he was already starting to feel exhausted, he wanted the battle to end, he wanted to rest, he didn't want to get hurt.

'I am born with power, I want to live a comfortable life, why suffer?'

It was at this moment he realised something, he realised his way of thinking was wrong.

'If I want to live comfortably, I have to constantly suffer to polish my power, yes, that's right!'

Those ghostly eyes looked straight at Toji, who didn't stop at all and was still rushing at him.

Toji looked down only to find one end of Golden Rope was tied to Vajra stick and the other was tied to Quick Silver, which shifted its bottom causing him to fall.

Tenshi smiled, he never intended to use the Golden Rope on Toji since he knew it would be useless against Toji's muscles.

But things didn't go as he planned, Toji jumped off the stick, as the katana in his hand slashed at his hand, cutting it off.

He saw Toji grinning as he fell, he forgot that Toji was using all his strength today, he didn't know how long Toji could jump since he never forced Toji to such lengths before.

"Indra's Arrow"

But that didn't stop him, he endured the pain and took the opportunity to throw the spear at Toji.

The spear covered in lightning looked like thunder god's arrow, it was very fast, but Toji narrowly escaped the attack.

The fight needed to end quickly otherwise he would lose, fortunately…

The next moment, Quick Silver appeared beside him and a bloody figure with one arm was left in the sky with a crazy smile.

I believe not every Cursed Technique has a reverse, like the Ten Shadows or Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

Cursed Technique Reversal are cool like Gojo's Red and Kenjaku's gravity but it also expresses its rarity, only a handful of people know Reverse Cursed Technique let alone applying it in thier Cursed Techniques.

Some people have different opinions which I agree with, so, do you think that the MC should have a reverse for his technique.
