20 Realization(6)

Huh?!

It sold off the moment he posted it?!

That was so fast!

It seems like many people were interested in that weird stuff.

Unaware of my inner struggles, the masked man took out a bundle of yen and placed it beside me.

"There is a hundred and forty thousand yen here... I have already taken out my commission fee of sixty thousand yen."

"...!"

That talisman was sold for two hundred thousand yen the moment he placed it on auction.

Is that for real?!

That means the talisman my child made was worth the same as two of my cursed tools, which I spent ten days of hard work on each!

This realization hit me hard...

I silently took the money he placed without saying anything.

No, I can't speak anything right now...

My mind was completely blank, without being able to think of anything.

"Lady?..."

I immediately snapped out of my thoughts by the voice of the masked man.

"Is it possible to make that talisman again? The man who bought that talisman is asking for three more with the same effect and is willing to pay three hundred yen per talisman."

I don't know how to respond knowing that...

<In 2003, the exchange rate for 100,000 Japanese yen (JPY) was between 108.19 and 109.5 USD.>

"I was just lucky to make that talisman... It was a fluke. I don't think I can make another talisman like that again."

The regret in the masked man's eyes was visible as he heard this.

"Sigh, it can't be helped then. Just bring me another talisman if you can make another one, lady. I am willing to buy them for two hundred thousand yen per talisman and secure the source where I get those talismans from."

I just nodded my head without making any promises to him.

When Susumu came to pick me up, I told him everything that had happened.

"Pff- hahaha," he broke out into laughter when he heard that.

"Why are you laughing like that?!" I asked.

"Haha... Seriously, Kazuhiko didn't even take six months from learning the talisman to making that talisman... now he is capable of earning more money than you... And on top of that, he is just two years old...Ah"

I punched him in the face without hesitation.

He asked for it.

The next day, I went to my son and asked him how he made it, but the moment I mentioned that talisman, he flinched.

"What talisman are you talking about, Mom? I didn't make that talisman again... never..."

I didn't even ask him if he made another one.

Why did he stutter when he spoke?

I stared.

He's hiding something!

Once I understood how to make them from Kazuhiko, I tried to create that talisman with the same effect, but failed miserably again and again, even after trying for more than a week.

My cursed energy and focus were nearly not enough to make a single talisman.

I asked my son, how many talismans he could make per day.

And he answered that he could make three per day if I nor Susumu helped him to capture the curses.

If not he said he could only make it once per day.

*Woosh*

An invincible arrow pierced my chest, directly in my pride.

That was humiliating.

For whatever reason, I wanted to punch Susumu.

This month, I experienced a missed period along with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, sore breasts, and fatigue.

These are all signs that I am pregnant, which doesn't come as a surprise considering how frequently Susumu and I were intimate.

I would have been more surprised if I wasn't pregnant.

However, I didn't directly inform Susumu about it.

Instead, we decided to make an appointment with our long-time doctor, Gojo Hiroyuki, who successfully helped me give birth to our son.

It's interesting to note that Hiroyuki chose to become a doctor instead of a jujutsu sorcerer due to his unique cursed technique.

During the week, I stumbled upon something that my son had been trying to hide from me while cleaning the house.

It was a peculiar box covered in white papers.

At first glance, it appeared to be an ordinary box, but when I touched it, I felt a strange flow of cursed energy.

I decided to forcefully open the box and discovered numerous neatly stored talismans inside.

Each one emitted the same eerie aura that I was familiar with, indicating the presence of sealed cursed items.

To my shock, there were over fifty talismans in total.

It was astonishing to see that my child had gone to such lengths to conceal these things.

When I attempted to take the entire box with me, Kazuhiko, my son, cried and pleaded for me not to take it away.

However, I chose not to respond to his pleas.

Even Susumu who always supported Kazuhiko didn't respond to his pleas.

We told him to don't make them but he did it despite our warning.

Once again Kzuhiko got angry and started to pouting.

But we ignored him now.

Thankfully, Susumu took out those talismans with him and personally sold them to sorcerers from abroad in bulk.

It earned 15k in dollars.

Susumu put it on some well-known stocks with strong fundamentals such as Monster Beverage Corp (MNST), Tractor Supply Co. (TSCO), Old Dominion Freight Lines Inc., HollyFrontier Corp, and Altria Group Inc. for use in Kazuhiko's future.

All of them were US-based companies.

I don't know any details about those companies personally but I trust Susumu that he won't make any mistake in choosing stocks since he was disgustingly expert in that anyway.

After my check-up, I told Kazuhiko that he would soon be getting his younger sibling.

Even though he was still angry with us, he became genuinely happy.

He even stopped practicing his talisman-making and barrier techniques to spend all his time with me.

Over the past month, I realized how caring he was.

He helped me with everything I did and remained calm when my mood swings caused me to scold him.

This melted my heart, and I decided to teach him about the 'Binding Vow' in return.

I believed that he was capable of understanding it if I taught him properly.

Although my husband's grinning face annoyed me, I managed to hold myself back.
