7 Chapter 7- First battle...nah

"But why shouldn't I? People at Shibuya would die needlessly and also, the Cullin game is nothing but a preparation for something even I am uncertain about. Why don't I kill Kenjaku when I have the time and save everyone, once and for all?"

It was after Ryuuji had graduated from all the floors and was once again, facing the same blond who listed all his skills before he was sent to the Tower.

The reason Ryuuji raised such a query was because he didn't want the plot to flow in the same manner it did, in canon. While Ryuuji has attained a new hobby of battling strong foes while he is in the Tower, he doesn't want hundreds and thousands of people to die when he has the opportunity to save them.

Hearing those words, the blond sighed. Now, that sigh contained resignation or amusement, reminded a mystery.

"I know what you are getting at, but my statement would remain the same: Do not overly interfere with the plot and change its course."

The blond knew that Ryuuji was not going to get convinced this easily so he further explained,

"The center of your attention is Kenjaku, and you intend to kill that being to prevent every major incident from happening. However, if you do that, your primary goal of extinguishing the Evil fragment would be jeopardized."

Ryuuji didn't say anything and the only change that appeared was his narrowed gaze, asking for the other one to elaborate.

"If you kill the one who is behind all the planning and plotting, then the curses inhibiting the Evil fragment you need to kill, would scatter around and wait for your disappearance. Worst case, they might do something far worse than the Shibuya incident."

Ryuuji frowned at that before asking, "You mean..if I kill Kenjaku, there is a chance that I won't be able to extinguish all the evil fragments and maybe the world might come to an end because of some plot butterfly effect?"

"Exactly."

[Present time]

"Exactly what am I supposed to do now?" Standing atop a tall commercial building, Ryuuji looked down at the streets where numerous people were busily walking around.

His mind was currently converged on how he should proceed from hereon.

Because it has been so many years in the Tower, Ryuuji nearly forgets all the small incidents of Jujutsu Kaisen. And the fact that he couldn't just meet and slay the main antagonist all by himself, kept the person at the edge.

'The most troublesome foes would be Mahito, Mahoraga, and lastly Sukuna.' Ryuuji was uncertain whether he should let the brawl between Mahoraga and Sukuna transpire—which was the main cause of Shibuya's destruction.

The incident leads the strongest shikigami of the Ten Shadows to submit to the King of Curses—Ryomen Sukuna.

The blond told Ryuuji that whenever he felt that Ryuuji was about to diverge the plot for worse, he would send a warning notice and let Ryuuji decide whether to proceed or not. While Ryuuji would get warnings, he wasn't bound by any rules.

'But still...what would be the advantage of being a reincarnated one if I don't use my knowledge?' Sighing inwardly, he jumped off the cliff and disappeared into the shadows.

The next place Ryuuji appeared was an abandoned factory site at the northern post of Osaka where he sensed a large congregation of Curse Spirits.

He still was wearing jogging pants and a plain t-shirt, but his mobility didn't ask for more freedom. After all, under the circumstances he had trained, this much was nothing less than heaven for his limbs and joints.

'Byakugan.' Veins protruded from either side of his eyes and his violet eyes turned hazy as the boy activated his inherited technique; unique to himself in this world.

'Fuck...I nearly forgot...' Talk about inheriting, then Ryuuji remembered that he had to leave three heirs in this world before he would have to leave this world.

Putting needless worry aside, he focused inside the building and found that apart from several second and third-grade curses, there was one Special-grade concealing its presence as well.

'Hmm? Are they...humans?' As soon as realization dawned upon him, Ryuuji disappeared from the spot and advanced toward his destination.

It didn't take more than three seconds and he was already on the base floor of the factory.

In front of his eyes were three high school students, bundled up in a corner, one of them fanatically looking around.

'She can see them...' The curse spirits were just toying with the humans and given the amount of skulls and human bones he could see, Ryuuji knew these cursed spirits had a habit of luring humans and rotting them to death.

Naturally, as Ryuuji could sense their presence, the cursed spirits could also do the same...however, since he was suppressing his cursed energy to naught, it gave the impression that Ryuuji was a weak human sorcerer.

[Khleenghhh!]

The one that advanced toward Ryuuji first was a blue and black squid-like creature with a head implanted over its shoulder.

By its cursed energy, Ryuuji discerned it to be Second-grade at best. The creature held its tendrils in front to attack Ryuuji...however, the instance the cursed spirits reached a certain point, it was sliced into fine pieces.

"First fold: Quickdraw." Sheathing his blade with a small clink, Ryuuji muttered under his breath.

The other curses were instantly alarmed by the presence of the sorcerer, who dispatched their brethren within a blink.

As the minced cursed spirit's body turned into ashes, a group of similar-looking Cursed Spirit advanced toward him...only to face the same fate

"Ahh..." One of the students who was able to see the cursed spirits and the conclusion they were met by the redhead man, exclaimed in an incomprehensible voice, which gathered the attention of the other two.

Her eyes widened in shock to see that someone was able to bisect those horrifying things without even moving an inch.

'A-Are we going to be saved?'

Unbeknownst to the girl's internal murmuring, Ryuuji locked every cursed spirit minus one, within his vision before once again, resting his hand on his blade handle.

"Third Fold: Chain slash."

At the end of the day, Ryuuji didn't find any competition as he dispatched even the Special grade womb within seconds before handing out the three teenagers to the police.

The first day of his new life ended on a boring note.

A/N:- I know it was anti-climactic, but I didn't want to prolong the battle which meant near to no struggle for him. I mean, if Ryuuji couldn't even handle some cursed spirit without breaking a sweat, then how would he handle the behemoths?
