5 Innate Cursed Technique

After a few days of vigorous training and searching for a suitable location, Takashi finally found what he was looking for. It was a secluded area outside of Tokyo, surrounded by dense forests and hidden away from the prying eyes of ordinary people. The place resonated with the eerie but calming atmosphere that cursed spirits were drawn to.

"This is it," Takashi murmured to himself, a sense of satisfaction washing over him. "This place is just right."

He spent the remaining time scouting the area thoroughly, making sure it was safe and suitable for establishing the academy. It seemed to be free from any major disturbances and had a natural balance of cursed energy, which was perfect for his plans.

Once he determined it was the right place, the system also acknowledged it and issued a notification.

[Task Completed]

[Objective: Find a suitable place for the Curse Academy.]

[Reward: Innate Cursed Technique.]

Takashi's eyes gleamed with excitement as he received the reward. An Innate Cursed Technique was what he desired the most, and he couldn't wait to create a powerful and unique technique that could potentially tip the balance of the world.

With the reward in hand, he used his Cursed Spirit Communication to notify one of the cursed spirit he tamed in the past few days.

The cursed spirit, a bird-looking creature with glowing red eyes and a sinister grin, appeared before Takashi in a wisp of dark energy. It seemed eager to assist its newfound ally.

"Hey there, little guy. Take me to my apartment," Takashi said, addressing the spirit.

The bird-like cursed spirit tilted its head at Takashi's request, seemingly puzzled by the mention of an "apartment." However, being a creature of cursed energy and not bound by the rules of the physical world, it was capable of understanding its master's intentions beyond the literal words.

With an almost mischievous gleam in its glowing red eyes, the spirit let out an eerie chirp, signaling its readiness to fulfill Takashi's request. Without further delay, the dark energy of the spirit enveloped Takashi, and they vanished from the secluded area in Tokyo, leaving no trace behind.

In the blink of an eye, they reappeared in front of Takashi's apartment in the bustling city of Tokyo. The apartment complex was a modest one, blending in with the surrounding urban landscape.

"Thanks, my friend," Takashi said, giving a nod of appreciation to the bird-like spirit. The creature responded with a chirp, seemingly content with its service.

As Takashi stepped into his apartment, he went to his bedroom and sat on his bed in a cross-legged posture.

He willed the system to appear, and it displayed the task along with the reward Takashi has chosen.

[Task Completed]

[Objective: Find a suitable place for the Curse Academy.]

[Reward: Innate Cursed Technique.]

He clicked on the reward mentally, and a new screen appeared before him.

[Innate Cursed Technique Creation]

[Name: ]

Takashi pondered for a moment, considering a name for the Innate Cursed Technique he had in mind.

'I'll name it Encompassing Abyss'

[Name: Encompassing Abyss]

With the name decided, he continued to fill in the details of the technique.

[Description: The Cursed Technique "Encompassing Abyss" grants the user the power to manipulate and control an otherworldly barrier with unique properties.]

[Uses:

1. Barrier Modification: The user can erect a barrier with a specific radius around themselves or a designated area. The barrier can be invisible or take on a translucent appearance. By focusing their Cursed Energy, the user can control the barrier's effects:

Strengthening Mode: Within the barrier, allies and the user experience enhanced physical attributes, accelerated healing, boosted cursed energy output and heightened Cursed Energy regeneration. Their techniques and abilities become more potent and have increased efficacy.

Weakening Mode: Enemies within the barrier suffer from reduced physical strength, slower movement, suppressed Cursed Energy, and dampened techniques. Their abilities become less effective, making it challenging for them to mount a strong offense.

2. Energy Leech: Allows the user to absorb and harness the Cursed Energy of both allies and enemies within the barrier. They can siphon energy from opponents, weakening their attacks and replenishing their own reserves. Conversely, they can augment their allies' Cursed Energy by channeling absorbed energy to strengthen their techniques.

3. Particle Distortion: As an offensive skill, the user can manipulate the quantum particles within the barrier to create powerful energy projectiles. These projectiles can be launched at high speeds and can disrupt an opponent's Cursed Energy defenses, weakening their ability to counter or defend.

4. Entropic Field: The user can trigger an Entropic Field within the barrier, where the laws of thermodynamics are temporarily distorted. This field rapidly increases the entropy of the surrounding matter, causing chaos and destruction. Objects and living beings within the field may disintegrate or lose cohesion, making it a devastating offensive attack.

5. Barrier's Embrace: By sacrificing Cursed Spirits within the barrier, the user can become one with the barrier temporarily. This grants them intangibility, allowing attacks to pass through them harmlessly, and allows teleportation within the barrier.]

Takashi felt satisfied as he finished writing the uses of the technique, but there was still one more section, which was being filled out by the system itself.

[Limitations:

Cursed Energy Consumption: The manipulation and control of the Encompassing Abyss barrier require a significant amount of cursed energy from Takashi. The larger and more complex the barrier, the more energy it consumes. Prolonged use or multiple consecutive activations can quickly deplete his reserves, leaving him vulnerable to attacks until his cursed energy replenishes.

Limited Barrier Range: Although the Encompassing Abyss technique is powerful, the barrier's range is not unlimited. Takashi can only extend the barrier up to a certain distance from his position. Expanding the barrier beyond this limit requires even more cursed energy, making it impractical for him to cover vast areas.

Energy Absorption Control: Absorbing and redistributing Cursed Energy from multiple sources can be challenging, and if mishandled, it may lead to unpredictable results or accidental injury to allies.]

Takashi nodded, satisfied with the limitations provided. They were reasonable and not outrageous limitations. With this last step completed, he clicked on create.

As Takashi clicked on the "Create" button, he felt nothing but drowsiness, and fell asleep as a cocoon materialized and encompassed him.

The system acknowledged the successful creation of the Innate Cursed Technique with a notification:

[Innate Cursed Technique Created]

[Takashi has successfully created the Innate Cursed Technique "Encompassing Abyss."]

[Reward: Encompassing Abyss has been added to your Cursed Technique list.]

As the day passed and a new morning approached, Takashi's eyes began to flutter open. The cocoon that surrounded him was nowhere to be seen, and Takashi felt a surge of power coursing through his veins. He could sense the technique he created became a part of him, and he instictively knew how to use it.

He stood up, eager to test it in action. Takashi concentrated, and with a thought, an invisible barrier formed around him. It extended to about a ten-meter radius, encompassing the area of his small apartment room.

"Barrier Modification - Strengthening Mode," he commanded, and the barrier's properties changed. The space within the barrier seemed to shimmer, and Takashi could feel a surge of power enveloping him. His physical attributes heightened, and his cursed energy regenerated at an accelerated rate.

Feeling the effects of his technique, he decided to try the Weakening Mode next. He wasn't affected because he didn't declare himself as an enemy within the barrier, so he just did that. As he did so, he immediately felt the air thicken and the barrier's aura shifted, feeling heavier and opressive. Instantly, the barrier's range was reduced to a 5-meter radius.

He continued to experiment with the other uses of the technique. With the Energy Leech ability, Takashi absorbed cursed energy from the air, feeling his reserves replenish as he did so. He then channeled the absorbed energy to augment his own cursed energy, making himself even more powerful.

Next, he tested the Particle Distortion ability. Focusing on a nearby table, he manipulated the quantum particles within the barrier to create energy projectiles. With a swift motion, the projectiles shot toward the table, causing it to shatter into pieces.

"The offensive capabilities are impressive," Takashi noted, satisfied with the outcome.

He was very eager to test the Entropic Field, but knew he couldn't do it in his apartment.

...

Hope you're satisfied with the technique, I thought it was pretty cool.
