WHY DID JUDAS BETRAY JESUS?

One of the most controversial issues in religious education is why should we blame Judas for betraying Jesus when it was already planned to be so?

Judas fulfilled what he had to do in order for Jesus to be crucified and fulfill what he was sent to do on earth

""The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born."" (Mathew 26:24)

Now why should Judas be blamed for carrying out the commission Jesus sent to earth?

There is tension going on right now. Did Judas make a mistake or did he fulfill the scripture? But what happened to Judas' fate after he betrayed Jesus?
