Chapter 3

'If I remembered correctly, my name is 'Jeanna Winters' I was returning home from work when suddenly my vision darkens. After waking up, I find myself in the company of these strange people, did I transmigrate to another world or something, if so, why can I understand the words they are saying, ack'

"Let's go." Rhae grabbed my arm and yanked me to my feet.

I stumbled after her, struggling to keep up as she led me down the tunnel.

The walls of the tunnel seemed to be closing in on me, and the air was getting warmer and more humid. I could hear the sound of water dripping in the distance, and the earthy smell of moss and decay filled my nostrils.

"Are you guys sure you know where you're going?" I asked. 'I need to find a way to escape from these people.

"Trust me, we know," Rhea said.

We continued down the tunnel, which narrowed until it was barely wide enough for ten people to walk side-by-side. The ceiling was low, and the rock walls were slick with moisture. The sound of water dripping echoed in the distance, and the smell of moss and decay grew stronger.

"We're almost there," Rhea said.

"Thank God," I muttered. "I can't stand being in there much longer."

the rat-faced man chuckled. "You won't have to worry about that much longer."

I wasn't sure whether to take that as a good sign or a bad one, but before I could ask, the tunnel widened again, and I saw a faint glow ahead.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Your destination," Rhea replied.

As we got closer, the light became brighter, and I could see that it was coming from an opening in the side of the tunnel. The three of them pushed me toward the opening, and I found myself standing on the edge of a vast cavern.

The ceiling was so high above my head that I couldn't even see it. The walls were made of rough, dark stone, and the floor was covered in a thick layer of moss. There were dozens of openings like the one I was standing in, and the entire place was lit by an eerie blue glow that seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere at once.

In the center of the cavern was a large pool of water. It was perfectly still and crystal clear, and I could see the bottom of it as clearly as if it were only a few feet deep.

"What is this place?" I asked.

"You're about to find out," Rhea replied.

The three of them shoved me forward, and I stumbled into the cavern, my boots sinking into the thick moss. I could feel the moisture soaking into my clothes, and the cool, damp air tickled the back of my neck.

"Keep moving," the woman ordered.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Shut up and walk," she snapped.

I did as I was told, and we made our way around the edge of the cavern, passing dozens of openings in the rock wall. I had no idea where we were going, or what was waiting for me, but the sooner we got there, the sooner I could figure out a way to escape.
