Ch.37 Plan in Motion(4)

"Haa, haa"

I took deep breaths as I looked at Agni, after her onslaught of attack I can be said to be quite spent. After all even the healing spells can keep me up for so long.

"Oh! tired already."

Agni says as she scoffs and makes an arrogant face, the most likely reason is to make me lose my composure. I guess she doesn't know I have thirty years of memories to see through so I am quite used to this situation.

"Well, not really."

I say as I smile at her, the smile is one of my cheeky ones and she seems to have understood my smile and got ready to attack me again. 

But alas she was too slow as the words left my mouth.

"But Sir Vayu will be tired if you become so wild with him."

I said it with a straight face and that did the job, even though she was accepting something like this doesn't mean she has resistance to it.

A problem that needs to be fixed in the future, but currently I will exploit it as much as I possibly can.

Her face blooms into a blush again as she starts to fire her magic haphazardly, a dangerous situation as her attacks are more ruthless than ever.

Perfect, time to set my plan in motion.. After all, I am not going down without getting at least one hot on you.

Dodging the waves of flames coming my way I move around the room in random order as the flames scorch the ground where I was standing.

But the damage was less than before... seeing that I can say that my plan has worked.. and for the final straw.

"What are you embarrassed for, did you imagine it or something."

I say in the most annoying voice I can muster and it does its job as a pillar of red flames headed toward me.

"Checkmate."

I mutter as I connect both of my hands letting mana pass through them.

<Array Magic: Converge> x12

Twelve magic circles erupted from the places where the flames were absorbed as the mana absorbed from the flames started to flow toward me.

<Array Magic: Absorb>

A big magic circle lit beneath my feet as the red pillar of flames reached just above my head. Without breaking my concentration I let the array circle beneath me absorb the flowing mana from the converge array.

So now using the newly acquired source of mana I cast another spell, as the flames that just bathed my body started to disappear.

Well, more like getting devoured by the new spell, as it is just a stronger version of the other spell that initially absorbed the flames.

This change of situation seems to have brought Agni out of her thoughts as I can feel her intrigued eyes staring at me.

However, it was too late, as everything that needed to be done had been done.

<Grand Array Magic: Counterstrike>

All the arrays that had been created in the room lit up as with them acting in combination, a bigger array was created lighting the entire room.

Agni's eyes looked at the scene with shock as she got ready to fight against something that was to come.

All the accumulated mana beneath me disappeared as flames started to rise from every corner of the room climbing to the sky.

It looked like a scene out of hell itself, as flames rose from every direction travelling toward the sky, wishing to burn it also.

<Flame Magic: Hell Bringer>

Magic erupted from Agni's body as she created a magic circle the same size as mine, red flames started to rain down fighting against the rising flames.

It looks like a match of equals currently, but I and Agni both know that this is the battle I will lose. After all, unlike her magic, I was only able to cast it by using Agni's mana.

So, what do I do to hurt her... well It's simple.

I crouch down on the ground and pick up a burnt stone, flames start to cover it as I change my posture and aim it at Agni.

Well, the place where I think Agni is at least.. after all the flames are blocking everything.

So without wasting another second, I put all my remaining strength into my legs and hands as I throw the stone.

With that, I fall to the ground, and as I lose control of my body, there are many reasons for it. The main ones are Mental, Physical, and Mana exhaustion.

Closing my eyes I let myself fall into the lands of dream... or rest.

I see that's why he has been saying those words. Quite a wonderful idea I will say... well he is a genius as much as an irritating and lovable child he is.

Putting more mana into my spell I start to push the flames back, I could try to control them but that would just take too much effort.

"These are quite strong flames."

I give him the compliment he deserves as I look at the flames, after all even though the condition for it may not be replicable normally these flames will still be able to destroy as normal "Mana Constellation Rank" if they are caught off guard.

Dak!

Feeling a sudden hit on my stomach I look down and see a flaming stone falling down, most likely after hitting me.

That child, he managed to hit me.. though it didn't hurt It was still a considerable feat. Hmm. I do remember Vayu telling me that Neo had also managed to hit him.

Quite a petty child he is... I guess some pettiness isn't that bad. After all, I myself am a petty person.

Hum!

Humming to myself I remember Neo's words as I can feel my cheeks getting a little hotter.. haa. I guess I love Vayu too much.

Remembering the conversation I had with my big sis....

"Hey Agni, why haven't you confessed to Vayu yet."

My sister Ruri asks me as she corners me in my own room.. what kind of injustice is this?

"What.."

I try to run away from this conversation with words but my sister shuts me down as she glares at me.

"Oh. come on.. even a child can see that you love him."

She scoffs as she approaches me with a steady walking pace.

"So now why don't you answer my question, My little sister.. why haven't you confessed."

She asks with a kind voice but looking at her smile it cannot be farther away from the very concept of kindness.

Fears start to overwhelm me as I start to back down, if someone saw me currently they wouldn't be able to believe their eyes.

After all their so-called "Demonic Head Maid" is backing down from someone.

"I-I.."

Suddenly chains erupt from the ground as they start to bind me, not letting me run away.

"Aaaa"

I couldn't help but let out a little scream due to surprise and fear.

"Yes, you my sister. hehe"

Ruri whispers in my ears as she gives a demonic laugh.. a laugh that sends shivers down my spine.
