Ch.19 Neo and Ruby(4)

"Hehe, sometimes you act way too cute."

Neo said as he patted Ruby's head.

"What do you mean sometimes cute? I will have you know I am always cute."

Ruby complained as she made a pouting face and gave a prideful look.

"I doubt it."

Neo said as he gave her a smirk.

"Oh, is that so? Then why don't we spar again."

Ruby replied to Neo's comment as she gave him an evil smile.

"Where did you even learn this tactic from."

Neo asked as he backed down from Ruby not wanting to get beaten up again.

"Oh. from my father and.. You."

Ruby says as she points her finger at Neo, walking toward him with slow steps she gives an evil laugh she had learned from Neo.

"Now, now you two love birds. Stop arguing."

Vayu said as he came into the middle of their conservation. He had a kind smile on his face but his eyes looked pure evil, as with this comment he had gotten back on Neo.

He was sure of that and waited to see Neo's flustered face.

"Who are you calling love birds?"

Two voices said at the same time but they had a different tone.

Ruby's voice sounded a little embarrassed and she had a red hue on her face, as for Neo his voice sounded as calm as ever and there were no changes to his face.

But that quickly changed as a cheeky smile came to his face and he signaled to Ruby with his eyes. Getting the signal Ruby's expression also changed as she looked at Vayu.

"You know sir Vayu, you call us love birds but what about you and Agni."

Neo said as he walked closer to Vayu.

Hearing his words Vayu knew he had fucked up, but still chose not to back down. After all, where will his dignity be if he falls prey to Neo in front of Ruby?

"What are you talking about Neo, Ruby can you please keep this matter a secret, after all, if you say this to Agni it will only trouble her. After all, there is nothing like this between us."

Vayu said as he tried to change the topic, he was doing his best to make sure nobody learned of his love for Agni.

"No need to lie now Sir Vayu, after all hiding the deep love you have for Agni could be a chain in your heart."

Neo said in a dramatic tone and acted like he was a master when it came to romance.

"Wow, Uncle Vayu you love Aunt Agni so much."

Ruby said as she acted innocent and had stars in her eyes.

"No, no Ruby it's not like that, there is nothing like that between us... Please don't believe the lie Neo spills out. You know how it is."

Vayu quickly replied as if fearing for his life.

"Oh, so you are saying Agni isn't worthy enough for you. After getting her heart you do such a thing to her"

Neo quickly changed his tone and asked Vayu in a 'sad' and 'disgusted' voice. He gave Vayu the look that one gives to a playboy.

"How could you Uncle Vayu? Have you no shame."

Ruby also said as she made a 'sad' face and started to cry.

"No-i-.."

"How could you do this to Aunt Agni?"

Ruby shouted as she looked at Vayu with 'anger', picking up her greatsword she pointed it at Vayu.

"I-, um-.."

"Say your words, Sir Vayu. After all, I didn't think of you as such a person." 

Neo added to the fire as he looked at Vayu.

Walking toward the 'crying' Ruby Neo rubbed her head as he gently wiped her tears.

"Look, you even made little Ruby cry, Have you no shame."

Neo added as he looked at Vayu again.

"Yes, poor Aunt Agni, she loved you so much yet you do this to her."

Ruby shouted again as she let all her 'anger' out.

"Wait, what can you repeat your words again Ruby."

Vayu asked as he wasn't able to believe the words he heard from Ruby's mouth. He must have heard wrong Vayu thought.

After all, even if he had heard these words from Neo before he knew about his tricking habit, but Ruby isn't like that. After all, there is no way she will lie to him.

"You want to hear it again, then let me tell you, she said Agni loves you."

Neo shouted as he stood next to Ruby.

"And yet you played with her maiden heart."

He continued as he degraded Vayu even more.

Ruby also nodded her head giving a confirmation to Neo's words.

As if lightning had fallen on his head Vayu fell to the ground as he supported himself with both of his hands.

The current emotion that was going through his head was happiness and pure happiness but there was also a mix of worry which continued to increase.

After all due to Neo, the image he had made of Ruby collapsed and if he doesn't fix it he may never be allowed to talk to Agni again.

"It's not like that."

Vayu shouted as he looked at Ruby with a pleading look.

"Oh, then what is it like."

Neo asked as he looked at Vayu.

Hearing his words Vayu glared at him but still replied that he could deal with Neo in the future. For now, he has to focus on clearing all the allegations on himself.

"I do. I do love Agni."

Vayu confessed and Neo gave a smile at the response, he could have made Ruri call Agni just at this moment but didn't.

After all, where is the fun in that? Although it will be an embarrassing moment for them it will not be blackmail worthy.

"Oh, then why haven't you confessed to Agni yet."

"Yes, why haven't you confessed to Aunt Agni."

"Well, I-.."

"Yes, you please continue with your words don't stop."

"Yes, after all, if the reason isn't suitable I won't allow you to be with Aunt Agni."

With that, both of them gave Vayu a serious gaze, under their gaze he collapsed. He Vayu who is feared as the "Death Wind", who is used to fighting enemies stronger than him collapsed in front of two four-year-old kids.

If all his enemies and rivals heard this they may even get a heart attack.

"Because I was scared of rejection."

Vayu said in a single breath as his face turned red.

Both of them said at the same time, but their serious face was gone and they had a victorious smile.

"Still, I won't believe you until you confess to Aunt Agni."

Ruby added as she put her greatsword back into her storage pouch.

"But.."

"No, but's Sir Vayu it is either you confess or we won't let you get close to Agni."

Neo gave him an ultimatum as he folded his hands and stared at him.

"Understood, but when.."

"Don't worry about that both Neo and I will figure that out. You can leave now."

Ruby said in a commanding tone as she looked at Vayu.

"Understood."

Vayu said as he slowly walked out of the training grounds.

Both Neo and Ruby remained silent as they looked at the leaving figure of Vayu and the moment he left the training halls.

"HAHAHAHHAAHA"

Both of them burst out laughing as they held their stomach.

"I can't believe your tactics worked Neo, HAHAH."

Ruby said while laughing as she looked at the face of Neo.

"Didn't I tell you it will work, after all even if he is a strong knight with a strong mentality in the face of love his IQ will drop below zero."

Neo said with a smile as he stopped laughing.

"Hmm, but after all this over, you know he will understand your plan don't you."

Ruby said as she looked at Neo, using her hands she made a fake slice near her neck as she smiled.

"I know don't worry I have a backup plan for that."

Neo replied as he looked at Ruby's shenanigans, smiling at that he thought of his safety measure that would protect his head from Agni and Vayu after all this was over.

After all, he doesn't want to keep the blackmail materials for the fun of it only, it is his safety net. As for how effective it is that remains to be seen.
