Volume 1 Chapter 11: Level Up - II

It has been 10 minutes since I leveled up and charged into the horde, at the advice of Raphael.

While Saeko and I were massacring the zombies, a black-haired boy wearing a red t-shirt while carrying a blood-stained baseball bat arrived along with an orange-haired girl carrying a makeshift spear with its tip covered in blood.

Taking a moment to assess the situation, they also joined me and Saeko in killing the horde.

After we killed all the zombies, Shizuka started doing her job as a nurse. She checked if any of us had received any injury, starting with me. While Saeko hugged the pink-haired girl, who cried her heart out in Saeko's bosom.

Understanding that it was her first time experiencing such situations, like most humans who have adjusted to a life of security, we all gave her time to calm down.

In the meantime, we all introduce ourselves. I introduced myself as Saeko's boyfriend, who came to keep her safe as soon as I found out what was happening in the world.

Following me, Saeko and Shizuka introduced themselves. Then, the fat boy with a modified nail gun introduced himself as Kohta, the base-ball bat boy introduced himself as Takashi, and the spear girl introduced herself as Rei.

Saya then lashed out at us for acting relaxed as if we just hadn't fought a life-and-death battle with zombies, hungry for our flesh.

At her reaction, I looked at her with sympathy and then patted her head after getting close to her. As I told her, her outburst is fully justified but we can't let the situation overpower our will, the moment it happens we all will be consumed by fear and end up being killed by the zombies.

Thus, our earlier conversation was to ensure nothing like that happens by changing the mood of everyone present here.

After I said all this, Saya started to calm down and then on realizing that I was patting her head. She slapped my hand away, scolding me not to treat her as a child and she already knew what I just told her.

At this, Saeko has a smile on her lips. The same is true for Shizuka and me as we saw her red cheeks and understood that she is a tsundere.

After some laughing, I invited them to come with us and escape from this place. After the four of them accepted my proposal, we entered the staff room to get the bus keys and take some rest, as the staff room was located in the same place where the fight happened.

"This should be enough '', I said to Kohta and Takashi, as the three of us placed two tables in front of the door to barricade ourselves in the staff room for the time being.

"Let's rest for a while, '' I said to the two boys, receiving a nod from them as we all walked towards each other.

Walking near Saeko, she patted the empty chair next to her, understanding her meaning I placed my ass on the chair next to her.

Then laying my head on her shoulder, I asked her, "Can I rest like this?"

Smiling at me, Saeko nods and starts combing my hair with her silky smooth fingers.

"It feels nice. Please keep doing it." I said how I truly felt and then closed my eyes.

'Raphael, please show me all the notification logs of the system minus the exp & SP notification,' I asked Raphael.
