Chapter 13

Xia Qingyue tried to close her eyes to avoid seeing the scene of Itachi being hit by dozens of weapons but in the end she couldn't and kept her eyes wide open. And the scene she saw definitely could not be forgotten in a short period of time.

Itachi disappeared just as the weapons were about to hit him. Xia Qingyue's eyes widened even more as she saw Itachi dodging these traps so easily.

Itachi immediately landed on the ground in a safe manner, as if what he had done was no big deal. Slowly Itachi's red eyes were revealed to Xia Qingyue causing her to let out a sigh. She would never forget those eyes.

During this whole process, her heart beat extremely fast. She had never seen anything as beautiful as that. This scene would be hard for her to forget, in fact, she felt that it was forever etched in her heart. In addition, those red eyes she saw in the boy, were simply mesmerizing.

Itachi realized that there was someone spying on him so he turned around and saw that the person watching him was the girl he saved the night before.

"Oh? Is that you?" he said with little emotion visible on his face.

He felt that the girl in front of him had something to tell him, so he chose to take a break from his training to listen to what she wanted to say.

Xia Qingyue was a little confused by the little emotion on Itachi's face, but she remembered that when she was talking to him yesterday, he looked the same.

"Actually, Itachi, I think you are the most interesting person I have ever met." Xia Qingyue said with a smile.

And after that line a long conversation came, with much of the conversation being just Xia Qingyue chattering while Itachi rested on top of the rock.

Soon the sun began to fade and the temperature to cool causing Xia Qingyue to realize that it was time to return home. Saying goodbye to Itachi, she set off in the direction of her home.

On the way to her home, she couldn't stop thinking about her time with Itachi. She felt that these were her happiest days since her mother left her. She was surprised at the way Itachi handled things. From the beginning of the conversation it was always her talking to him just nodding her head or saying a few words, but even if it was just that, she felt happy.

Xia Qingyue didn't know why she felt good talking to Itachi. Since she was born she had only talked to three people, her father, her brother and her mother. But now it seemed there was another person she could talk quietly with.

She was reluctant to leave, but Itachi told her that she would be at this very place to train. And that was the only reason she decided to leave for home immediately.

"What can I talk to Itachi about tomorrow?" she thought excitedly.

The conversation didn't last long, it was already late and Itachi had to go back to the hotel, that early morning he would leave with Chu Yueli back to the sect.

"So... I'll see you tomorrow?" Xia Qingyue asked in a hopeful tone. It was always like this, always when she said goodbye to Itachi she asked if she would see him again the other day.

The positive answer she was hoping for didn't come, all she saw was Itachi turning away as he left without giving her an answer.
