Journey Of The Crimson Demon.

What dark essence lies within Insanity's core? From whence does evil's infernal power emerge? What nefarious depths birth the essence of good? Where doth power's diabolical might find its source? What secrets lurk within the elixir of immortality? And who, in the realms of the infernal, holds dominion over these enigmatic truths? ………………………… Such inquiries, woven within the fabric of our existence, are the very threads that set individuals apart, each distinct in their perceptions and interpretations. ________________________ Arkan, a weathered soul hailing from earthly realms, finds rebirth in a realm of fantasy and wonder. Devoid of innate cultivation aptitude and bereft of fortuitous aids such as celestial systems, ancient mentors within enchanted rings(Grandpas if you may), or divine techniques of godlike stature, how may Arkan ascend to the zenith of cultivation and surpass even its lofty confines? _________________________ Note:- Although no cheats, plot armor will be present. How can anyone reach the peak without any plot armor, because if that were to be the case then everyone would be at the top.  And yes, I will use simple English in the novel, and unlike my previous novels this one has an editor. Yeah I know he is my friend but he is a professional with English Honors and some other degree, I forgot. And maybe, well we changed 1 or 2 chapters to a bit shakspear English, why? We were just having fun. Don't worry, I have removed the very difficult words and given out an explanation and a meaning for those so called easy words.(This paragraph is not edited, my friend asked for extra party for this one. So yeah. No editing from here on. Have a heatstroke while reading this.) Mc will get some op items but not so op that it gives him invincibility. Mc is extremely ruthless.(Not in the starting chapters.) Those who have read my novel [God's Era: An Error System] will find this novel darker than the other.  The novel is slow paced. But it's immortal novel, so it's fast as well. I don't really know what I am trying to say but yeah, it's both fast paced and slow paced. Depends on the situation. No Romance(Maybe, but not really but maybe) Thank you. ______________________________ (For further inquiries please visit my Review, I will answer all questions within a day or 2 at most.)

[1] The Unbreakable Spirit: A Last Mission Unfulfilled!!!

Chapter 1:- The Unbreakable Spirit: A Last Mission Unfulfilled!!!

"Sir, please rest. Your body won't last long if you continue with this behavior," a concerned yet beautiful nurse warned the old man. He replied rebelliously, "Oh, come on! Young people like you should take it easy on us old folks."

The nurse walked toward him and mercilessly snatched the mobile phone from his hand. "Hey, give it back! The protagonist is about to be betrayed, I can feel it. Just a little longer. I promise I'll obediently go to sleep after the female lead betrays the protagonist," the old man pleaded, attempting to grab the phone from the nurse.

However, his attempts were futile in the life-threatening mission he was currently enduring. "No. You always say that you'll sleep after this and that, but every time I see you, you're busy with your mobile phone," the nurse stated as she left the private ward.

"Hey, it's not my fault that you come at the wrong time," the old man silently protested but reluctantly fell asleep. After about 15 minutes, the nurse returned to the room and placed the phone gently on the table. She sighed, questioning her fate, as she left the ward. Her shift had ended 30 minutes ago, but the old man's stubbornness had forced her to work overtime without any extra pay.

Ten minutes later, when the old man confirmed that the nurse was truly gone, he slowly opened his left eye and stealthily approached his phone, like a sneaky assassin. Once he had it in his hands, he quickly concealed it within his sleeves and silently returned to his bed.

"Ding. The mission has been completed. The host's sneaky assassin steps have reached level 998," the old man tried his best to imitate a system voice and succeeded. He activated night mode and opened a search engine, continuing the novel from where he had left off.

The night passed without incident, and the warm, happy sun shone through the sky in the cold weather. When the nurse arrived and opened the door, she saw the old man sleeping with his phone by his side. She noticed that the phone was not where she had originally left it the day before, which frustrated her. However, as an experienced nurse, she quickly controlled her anger, shook her head, picked up the phone, and placed it where she had left it. But as she did so, her hand slipped, and the phone almost fell. Reacting swiftly, she caught it before it hit the ground.

In the process of saving the phone, the nurse accidentally pressed the power button and opened the web browser, revealing the tabs the old man had been browsing the previous night. One of the tabs read, "How to seduce your nurse..." The nurse was momentarily stunned, then noticed 24 other tabs on the top right corner and clicked on one.

As she scrolled through the tabs, she experienced a range of emotions, from sadness to anger and embarrassment. Hours later, the old man finally woke up. It was already 1:53 PM. He saw the nurse and muttered, "Good morning, demon. You're here early today."

The nurse's face twitched, and for a moment, she contemplated ending the old man's suffering, like the evil characters in the novels he had shown her. However, thinking of her parents, she let go of that idea. "What time did you sleep yesterday, old man?" she asked, her voice tinged with anger.

The old man frantically searched for his phone but couldn't find it anywhere, until he spotted it in a place he dreaded. C.O.U.G.H. C.O.U.G.H. He coughed a few times and asked, feigning confusion, "What are you talking about? I fell asleep as soon as you left the ward yesterday."

The nurse tapped on the old man's phone and asked, "Guess where I found this thing?" The old man displayed a confused expression and replied, "What do you mean? Don't tell me you're blind. It's clearly where it was yesterday. Oh, dear heavens, I must ask the doctor to change my nurse. I don't want to die so soon." Though he displayed little emotion, the old man silently thanked all the immortals and supreme wizards he knew, believing that they had saved him. "Thank you, heavens," he thought.

The nurse shook her head and continued with her work. Three more years passed in the blink of an eye, and the old man, who used to tease his nurse, now struggled and fought to survive each passing second.

Despite the challenges, the old man always found a way to persevere and complete his missions. He had faced countless battles, both in the fictional worlds of his beloved novels and in his own reality. But this final mission proved to be his toughest challenge yet.

As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, the old man's health deteriorated. The once vibrant and mischievous spark in his eyes gradually dimmed. His body weakened, and his movements became sluggish. Yet, he refused to surrender to the inevitable.

The nurse, who had initially been annoyed by the old man's antics, grew to admire his spirit. She witnessed his determination and unwavering will to live, even in the face of impending defeat. Her frustration and anger transformed into a deep sense of respect for the old man.

She continued to care for him, tending to his needs and providing comfort during his most challenging moments. The bond between them grew stronger as they shared stories, laughter, and even tears. They found solace in each other's company, forming an unexpected friendship amidst the walls of the hospital room.

But time was relentless, and the old man's body could no longer keep up with his fighting spirit. His breathing became labored, and his heartbeat grew faint. The final moments of his last mission approached rapidly.

The nurse held his frail hand, her eyes filled with tears. She whispered words of encouragement, letting him know that he was not alone. In those tender moments, the old man found peace. He knew he had fought his hardest, completing mission after mission throughout his life.

As his eyes closed for the last time, the nurse held onto his hand, a bittersweet smile on her face. She whispered a heartfelt goodbye, grateful for the impact he had made on her life. The old man had taught her the value of resilience, the power of dreams, and the importance of cherishing every precious moment.

In the wake of his passing, the nurse carried the memories of their time together, forever inspired by the old man's unwavering spirit. She continued her work, caring for patients with newfound compassion and understanding.

The last mission of the old man had come to an end, but his legacy lived on. And though his physical body had succumbed to the inevitable, his indomitable will remain etched in the hearts of those who had known him.

And so, as the chapter closed on his final mission, a new chapter began for those whose lives he had touched. The nurse, carrying his memory, walked forward with renewed purpose, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead. The old man's spirit would forever guide her, a reminder to embrace each day as a precious gift and to never stop fighting for what truly mattered.

And in the corridors of the hospital, where life and death intertwined, the echo of the old man's laughter lingered.
