CH. 1 100 year Part 1

Ryu was a normal man, who work from morning to evening as a chef in a restaurant. He was also an otaku who love reading manga and novel like Food War, Gourmet Supplier, or Toriko. He found out that there was a new episode of Food War and went to buy it. On his ways home, Ryu was reading the manga and he was not not looking.

He trips a rock and roll down the hill and landed on a small lake. Ryu was so surprised that her forgets to swim, causing him to drowned and die. 'I haven't finished reading it.' thought Ryu, before he die.

"...." drip "...." drip"..."

Ryu slowly open his eye and found that he was in a place where there was nothing except light. 'Where am I?' thought Ryu.

[Finally, he awake]

Ryu heard a voice and he turn and found no one. "Where are you?" asked Ryu as he start running and trip and fall.

[He fall again]

Ryu look around and slowly got up, "Who are you?" asked Ryu.

[I am the God Chef Cooking System]

"..." Ryu was standing still and slowly lay down on the floor and close his eye.

[What are you doing?]

"This is a dream." said Ryu and immediately fall asleep.

[This is going to take a while, huh]

Time Skip - 6 hour

Ryu slowly open his eyes and found that he was still in the same place and scream, "AAHHHHHHH!"

[So you are awake]

"This is not a dream!" shouted Ryu and fall to the ground. After a few minutes he got up from the ground. "So where is this? What am I doing here? What are you?" asked Ryu as he sit down.

[I am the God Chef Cooking System]

[You have been chosen to travel into different dimension or world as a chef]

[You are in the Great Rift]

Ryu was shocked at the [System] answer, "So this is like the novel Gourmet Supplier?" asked Ryu.

[Yes]

"So, what do I need to do?" asked Ryu.

[Since, Host is too weak, very weak. Host will need to be train]

[Host will be train by System in this Great Rift for 100 years, before going to other dimension]

Ryu was shock at the time need to be train, '100 year!' thought Ryu as he imagine himself holding a wooden staff as one of his leg is in a coffin. Ryu was scare and refused to be like what he had imagine of himself.

[Host doesn't need to worry as Host won't get old in the Great Rift]

Ryu chose Y and suddenly a kitchen appear with a table, chair, and several equipment. He walk toward the kitchen and start checking the equipment.

[Training Begins]

[Cut onion into dices]

[Onion (0/10)]

[Reward: unknown]

Ryu saw that ten onion appear in front of him on the table, he start slicing the onion into dices, as he was a chef. After a few minutes, Ryu has finish the slicing the onion into dices. However he was crying after he had finish slicing the onion. "System, what onion is this? Why am I crying?" asked Ryu as he was still crying.

[Oh!]

[The System gave the wrong onion to Host]

[Host was supposed to slice a normal onion, but the onion that Host use was a Thin Tear Onion]

[A special onion which require chef to cut it as thin as a paper]

[Or else, they will cry for two hour]

After listening to System explanation, Ryu went silent as he was angry, sad and tired. "Is there any ways out of this?" asked Ryu.

[No]

Time Skip - 2 hour

Ryu has stop crying and he was sitting on his chair. He was angry at the System as it was System fault that he cry for two hour. However he still continue to train.

Time Skip - 10 year

It has been ten years since Ryu has start his training in the Great Rift, and he has gotten use to System and the training. He also received a skill from completing the training. He received [Ultimate Knife Art] a skill which the System rewarded to him. It a technique that require the user to control the ways of knife. He also received [Divine Deity Sense] a skill which Ryu was forced to train to enhance his senses.

However System still gives him wrong ingredient and causes trouble for him every time there was a task. There was one time, System bought a living shark and placed Ryu in the same tank. The task was to prepare a shark that was fresh, but not alive. It took him tw days in swimming to escape from the shark.

"System what is the task today?" asked Ryu as there are task everyday.

[Task: Hunt Fire Bear and cook a sweet & sour ribs]

Ryu loo at the task and frown as he was sent to a forest before and it was filled with dangerous beast from a magic and martial art world. All he could hunt was herb, and he was hunted by a group of beast.

"System tell me the location." said Ryu.

[The location is in Gourmet World in Toriko, The Forest Continent]

Ryu remember that Forest Continent was area 5, where one of the eight kings stay, The Deer King, Sky Deer. 'Should I go?' thought Ryu as he was also excited to go to Toriko World, however he was too weak and area 5 is very dangerous.

"Ding"

[Host doesn't need to worry about safety as Host would be protect by the guard]

[As an insurance, System would give Host an ability]

[Ability: Food Luck, Voice of the Ingredient, and Froese experience on cooking]

"Yes, I will go" said Ryu without thinking as he was excited to know about Froese or the Chef Goddess a partner of Acacia, The Gourmet God.

"Ding"

[Start Transferring Host]

[Location: Area 5, The Forest Continent]

Suddenly white light start to surround Ryu and he disappeared.

Toriko World

Location: Gourmet World - Area 5

Ryu open his eyes and found that he in a forest and there are several huge tree. He slowly walk out of the forest, as he was standing on a cliff which shows the whole view of Area 5. There was nothing, except tree and mountain, the air was also fresh. He can see from above that there are many kind of beast.

He open his inventory and found that there was a bottle of wine, [Hundred Fruit Wine]. Ryu was confused at the item in the inventory that the System has give him. 'A wine?' and he think about the wine, suddenly a figure was walking toward him.

"Hey" said a voice which cause Ryu to jump and turn. He was shocked as the man was "Knocking Master Jiro". "What are you doing here?" asked Jiro as he look at Ryu as he didn't have any Gourmet Cell or ability to fight in the Forest Continent.

"I am here on a mission to find a Fire Bear." said Ryu as he was still looking at Jiro. "A mission?" Jiro look at Ryu. "Yes. Oh, are you Knocking Master Jiro." asked Ryu. Jiro nod and drink his alcohol. Ryu was excited as her found a way to help him complete his mission.

"Knocking Master Jiro, can you help me find and hunt a Fire Bear. I will give you this wine." said Ryu and handed the bottle of Hundred Wine Fruit to Jiro as he open the bottle. "This wine!" Jiro was shocked as he open the bottle the sweet scent of fruits rushed out. Jiro was excited and take a sip, he was surprised as the taste was sweet and there was an energy which cause his body to feel better like when he was young and still hunting with Setsuno.

"Sure!" said Jiro and keep the bottle. "Thank you!" shouted Ryu as he was very happy. They start to travel as there was several dangerous beast. Ryu also learning many things from Jiro story. "Hide!" shouted Jiro as they were walking. Jiro pulled Ryu and hide by a cave. Suddenly the ground start to shake, bird and several beast run away. Ryu was curious and look outside and found Sky Deer, as it was moving.

Its body was covered with forest and several animal fall from the body of Sky Deer as it walk. Ryu was shocked and excited at the scene. After a few minutes Jiro and Ryu walk out of the cave and found several beast that has die from Sky Deer pressure. Ryu walk around and found many beast and also Fire Bear.

He walk toward Fire Bear and put it in his inventory along with other beast and herb that he found. Jiro was surprised that Fire Bear, and the other beast suddenly disappear. Ryu and Jiro was back at the cave they hide from Sky Deer. Ryu took out several equipment from his inventory. He start to dismantle the Fire Bear. He placed the Fire Bear Ribs on a chopping board.

Ryu start chopping the ribs into pieces and he placed a starch paste on a bowl. As the Fire Bear Ribs meat was thick, Ryu added a bit of honey to tenderize the meat. He pour in a high quality oil into the pan. After the meat was tenderize, he coated the meat with starch paste and placed the Fire Bear ribs into the pan.

He start to prepare the Sweet and Sour Sauce and the ribs in the placed start to cooked. After he has done cooking the ribs, he placed them into another pan and poured the Sweet and Sour sauce, before mixing them together as every pieces was coated in the sweet and sour sauce.

Jior was looking at Ryu as he was cooking, the delicious scent causes him to be hunger. After a few minutes, Ryu placed a plate of Sweet and Sour Fire Bear Ribs in front of Jiro, "Here" said Ryu and start eating.

Jiro took the ribs and eat it, the sweet and sour taste of the ribs along with the tenderize meat causes him to shocked as he always eat Setsuno food. However it was the firs time that he taste such a simple taste, but delicious. He sipped the Hundred Fruit Wine and eat the ribs.

"Ding"

[Mission Complete]

Ryu was surprised as he thought that he would get B or C Grade as he didn't hunt the Fire Bear. However he was happy and continue eating.

Time Skip - Next Day

Jiro and Ryu has separately depart as Ryu return to the Great Rift, while Jiro was heading back to find Setsuno. Ryu was happy that he meet Jiro, as it was a fun journey. After they has separately depart, Jiro give him a knocking gun. Ryu was holding the gun and smile, "System, my reward." said Ryu as he was excited.

Ryu received the reward and white light surround him, before entering his body. He feel warm and stronger, he open his inventory and found two thing, a smart phone and Lucky Draw Ticket. "....." Ryu was standing still and was holding both item on each hand. "System, what is this?" asked Ryu.

[The two item which Host received was a Smart phone with unlimited data and battery]

[Also a Lucky Draw Ticket]

Ryu was hoping for a knife or cook book, however he got a smart phone.

[The Smart phone was connected to the "Red Envelope Group of Three Realm" and "The Cultivation Group Chat"]

Ryu who was still sulking, stand up immediately and shouted "YEAH!". He enter "The Cultivation Group Chat" immediately.

Ryu was looking as many member of the [Nine Province Number One Group] stat talking about him. He was happy as "Cultivation Chat Group" was also one of his favourite novel along with "Red Envelope of Three Realm" and "Library Heaven Path". He was determine to visit those world.

Time Skip - 30 year

Ryu has start to learn about Food Honor and Simplified special preparation method, which he has been learn for 30 years, however he couldn't master them. He almost dying during the course of learning the Food Honor.

Time Skip - 70 year

Ryu has finally mastered Food Honor, Simplified special preparation method, Voice of the Ingredient, [Unlimited Knife Art] and [Divine Deity Sense]. Ryu has mastered many skill and cuisine including elixir cuisine, during his stay in the Great Rift. He also in the same level as Setsuno. He has use Froese Cooking experience in mastering many skill. "System I want to buy Brewing Method and Gourmet Cell" said Ryu as he found new interest in mastering everything.

Ryu suddenly felt that his body gets stronger as his cell start to strengthen.

"Ding"

Ryu was excited as he will be going to [Red envelope Group of Three Realm] world. He was interested in Chen Xiaobei ways of handling things. Ryu went and pack his stuff into his inventory and went to the teleportation formation, which the system build.

The teleportation formation start to shine and Ryu has disappear.
