Seoul, 14 Years Ago..

It is another good day. Yuyeon just finished her call with Yeo Dakyung and transferred a large amount of money to her account and finished the call by saying "please take care of my children from now on… you are their guardian now".

Yeo Dakyung then replied, "I hope your story now is as magnificent as you have envisioned, I can say that your story is not mediocre at all. But remember, never change the story midway.." Yuyeon then closed the call and sat back in her personal office at New Hope Hospital.

She then closed her eyes as she remembered about 14 years ago when Xion was 6 years old. It was her first time coming back to Seoul together with Wang Fenglong and Wang Zian as he hasn't changed his name into Xion.

They are walking together following the uphill trail in Namsan Baekbeom Square that afternoon. A grandmother and her granddaughter were resting in the wide open space in the peak of the scenic spot, Zian was running and Fenglong was chasing him around as they enjoyed the summer afternoon.

Zian was not a shy boy but kinda active as he approached the granddaughter and introduced himself with cute but not so fluent korean language, all the girl could heard are annyeonghaseyo, Zian-ibnida and chingu as Zian introduced himself to the little girl...

The girl then replied, annyeonghaseyo, I am Lee Jieun.. Zian then took her hand and asked her to play with him as Wang Fenglong accompanied them to play and Yuyeon accompanied the grandmother to rest.

That simple afternoon turned into an unspeakable experience for Yuyeon as she became a guardian and realized that the grandmother had her plans all along for Lee Jieun.

That was also the day Yuyeon received her compass-like tattoo that can turn invisible in her right hand, and knew that Zian also had something similar which is known as System.

It's just that his system is still dormant and it is unknown how to activate it since every system has a different operation mechanism.

When Yuyeon and Wang Fenglong and Wang Zian returned to the Millenium Hilton Hotel, someone named Yeo Dakyung came and met her for the first time, as the grandmother asked her to meet Yuyeon.

Zian and Jieun spend the whole second month of summer playing together and getting closer. The family spend time together with Lee Jieun and her grandmother as they travel around Seoul.

While Wang Fenglong accompanied the children, Yuyeon learned how to use the compass from the grandmother secretly.

One afternoon, when the group was walking around Soraepogu Ecological Park, Yuyeon used the compass for the first time and saw her future death, she didn't know the time but one thing for sure is that the last thing she sees in the news is the announcement of Lee Jieun death because of suicide attempt and then she died shortly after.

Yuyeon then told the grandmother what she had seen. The grandmother then told Yuyeon not to change the future for herself, but she can change others' future by using the special function of the system.

Yuyeon was shocked knowing that she could see a glimpse of the future but calmed herself. Tiredly walking, she and the grandmother slowly approach Wang Fenglong and the children as the night descends.

Wang Fenglong was oblivious about the situation but he can see that Yuyeon is tired from her body language. He then decided to end the day and have dinner together back in their hotel.

Something seems magical happened when the adults looked at the children, one by one, fireflies coming and flying around them as Zian and Jieun laughed. They were stunned, still looking at this seemingly picturesque situation. Slowly, the bright moon of summer rose up and hung herself in the starry night.

Yuyeon's mood slowly lifted up as they watched the children slowly sit and just watched the fireflies dance around them like rotating stars in the sky.. The magical experience happened for 15 minutes as the alarm in Wang Fenglong's phone broke the serene atmosphere.

Yuyeon promised to the grandmother as they finally went back that she will try her best to protect Lee Jieun from her suicide attempt in the future, but the grandmother just smile and told her to rest assured, someone else will try their best to protect Lee Jieun.

Yeo Dakyung then later became Lee Ji Eun's protector according to her grandmother's instructions but still had minimal contact with her, until she was 18 years old. Yuyeon, Xion and Yiren came to Seoul three and half years ago.

Yuyeon then called Yeo Dakyung and asked about Lee Ji Eun but she's already gone for two years and Yeo Dakyung can't find her at all, which makes Yuyeon look for her all around Seoul over and over again.

Yuyeon then started her own campaign to find Lee Ji Eun as Xion and Yiren prepared their own agendas. Yuyeon then asked Yeo Dakyung to hasten the progress for the Mega Structure in the Daemosan Mountain area that has been worked slowly for 12 years.

Yuyeon still remembers the time when she got the compass and all the experiences she has passed after that.. All the secret dealings behind her husband and her father in-laws, but still she smiles a lot now remembering the old times.

Three weeks passed as Yuyeon, Yiren and Aventurine prepared to go to Seoul again. They spent their time enjoying their rarely acquired rest time after two years straight working for Tourniquet, as the news about their parting ways with Tourniquet died down.

Yiren, and the rest of Aventurine then turned on their artist phone and many messages entered their inbox. They decided to turn it off once again as Yuyeon then called Suzy who had returned to Seoul three days before to prepare for a press conference for Aventurine.

Suzy then called the media and informed them about Aventurine's return next week and that they will hold a press conference in Incheon Airport at Matina Lounge but only limited to 20 Journalists only.

That day was exactly one month before Pandora's debut.

Several days before Suzy came back to Seoul, Xion was walking alone in Cheonggyecheon Secondhand Book Street while listening to some songs on his smartphone with head covered in his hoodie. He wore a white hoodie with some strong character from a game and short blue jeans for men and gray trendy sneakers.

The weather is warm and the wind blows slowly on the street as he is browsing for books. He spent some time in each bookstore looking for some good reading. The book collection was in good condition and the price was also cheap. Xion is looking for an interesting book to find some inspiration for his music.

His feet were walking aimlessly as he entered another secondhand bookstore, his eyes darting and scanning for particular interesting book titles.

An assistant shopkeeper is tidying the books and arranging them based on the genre. Xion decided to come and asked the assistant for guidance about certain books.

"Excuse me, can you show me where I can find some romance genre novels?" Xion asked politely..

"Yes, it is in the opposite direction from here, just walk straight till the end rows" the attendant replied as she turned her face facing Xion.

Xion then had a clear view of the attendant's face and the attendant looked back at him, stunned still not because of his handsome face..

A face he can't ever forget was standing in front of Xion, a face that brings sadness and guilt every time he remembers her.

Time seems to stop that moment between them, as memories of old times resurface in both of their minds..

The attendant slowly turned away and tried to leave the aisle but Xion raised his hands and grabbed hers, forcing her to stop in her track.

She turned her head facing Xion, only to see that there's a line of tears on his face. No words spoken still. She looks closely at Xion but her tears also fall with no words.

This situation persists for some seconds, as the girl speaks slowly, "let me go… and never try to find me again…"

The girl then pulled back her hand slowly and left Xion speechless. Xion still standing doesn't know what to do or to react to such a situation.

The girl then asked the boss for a temporary leave as she goes somewhere. Since the shop was almost empty of customers, the boss just nodded.

Some minutes later, Xion grabs his heart and walks away, leaving the shop and forgetting his intention completely..

Sadness is written in his face clearly, with head hung low he walks away.. from a heightened place, the girl is watching Xion's back

She then sits back weakly and sobs.. "geugeos eun geojismal-isseo, mianhae, Xion-ah", i want you back.. but i am not the same now, how can i hurt you more.. if you know the truth, I'd rather die than living with you with this guilt.."

Meanwhile, Xion walked to Dongdaemun Gate with a heavy heart and got himself to the highest point and just sat still watching the city with a complicated heart.

Time slips as Xion sits with so many things in mind till Seonho calls him that he realizes that it's already 9 PM. After telling his location, he waited for Seonho to pick him up.

Seonho was surprised to see his face so down and low.. on the road home, he then asked " What's wrong Xion-ah? Can you talk about it with me?

Xion looked back at Seonho and let out a long sigh…

Seonho just waits for him to speak as he knows that this young man is very open with him and trusts him a lot.

"Lee So-hee, i accidentally met her." Xion replied.
