Chapter 22: History (2)

~Soul POV~

Huh…?

That was when I caught my eyes on a certain picture as I rub them to see what I saw was real as I spoke to myself in a surprised tone, "What the hell is this?"

Looking at another piece of cravings inside the place I happen to see another piece of history that leaves me how to say… stump.

From the looks of the picture of the carving in front of me I see someone is using some kind of Necklace of sorts and tell if I'm wrong here is controlling the Grimm.

No like seriously that is some demonic level kind of bullshit I'm seeing.

The cravings though show the user seems to have blue eyes glowing when using the necklace in question to control the Grimm attacking the pale-looking woman from the looks of things in the carvings.

How peculiar?

Does this mean that controlling the Grimm is entirely possible here?

If that's the case then the woman in the pictures seems to have the natural ability to control the Grimm as she sees fit seeing how she waves her hand at the person controlling her portion while the other is doing the same.

Interesting.

Very interesting indeed.

Judging from the looks of the magic necklace the artifact takes the form of a silver and golden necklace with a blue jewel embroidered on its centerpiece. And it seems that when activating its powers, the jewel emits a blue glow corresponding to the user.

Placing my hand over my chin as I think of this great possibility happening I couldn't help but hypothesize this artifact was extremely important to me. I began to say what I have in my mouth as I began to say what I think out loud, "This is a very peculiar and great discovery I found. And this trip here has been more than enough for me to understand one thing though…. There is a shadow war in play."

Yes, a shadow war is something I would have to settle on. Because everything screams of conspiracy here for me. I can just feel it for some reason.

And the magic necklace and the lady in the picture of the cravings are very concerning…

But this does make some discoveries about this place very unsettling about this place. The fact of the matter is I found something incredibly disturbing about this place.

One for the matter is that it seems this city was something that had magic at one point glancing at the old flag emblems that I don't recognize. By that is that I researched the emblems of families but those here are none I recognize.

I can safely assume that it used to be something important all except for 4 identical emblems that belong to the so-called Kingdoms used today…

Vale, Mantle, Vacuo, and lastly Mistral…

Do these four flags resemble some key parts of the Kingdom emblems that are used today?

Staff, Sword, Crown, and Lamp.

And those so-called emblems each have the same distinct marks used here in the past to the present. The only way these can exist today would be because of the Infinite Man doing with his influence.

Why?

Because everything here has been isolated for a VERY long time that the dust here has been collected. I can safely assume no one was able to find out what happened here but if that's the case…

How did these flags of each Kingdom emblems still stand?

Simple.

Someone has been able to tell its story to the next generation-

Wait generation?

That can't be right…

Placing my hand over my mouth under my chin as I moved it I began to think once more on the idea and spoke out loud, "No… that can't be right. If it has been generations then shouldn't humanity and Faunus have progressed further then? Or rather why haven't this cause of threat be known- Infinite Man!"

Wait a minute if this has been passed through the generations then at least some or a select few would've pieced this all together. At least a researcher of this unless…

Unless the immortal somehow made sure this kind of knowledge doesn't reach anyone's fears… or rather won't allow the other… witch… By God.

The woman depicted on the cravings could she perhaps be The White Witch from the Fairy Tales be also immortal as well? No that made no sense…?

Ugh!

The more answers I find the more I find myself asking more questions…

Whatever the case maybe now I know for a fact that the Magic Necklace allows its wearer to seize control over the Grimm, in which their eyes glow a bright blue instead of red and they answer to the user's whim.

However, it could be used rather differently in another use as I began to speak out loud of its other use, "Then again though… The Necklace can be used over long distances, and can coordinate the Grimm strategically."

"Hee hee!"

"Found it!"

Huh?

Glancing around I finally return to my attention with the units of my stand as I see one of the [Harvest] units give me a familiar necklace I began to inspect it carefully, "This necklace…! This is the same one used in the cravings! Incredible discovery [Harvest]! Hmm…? There are engravings here… From you're lover Salem to my beloved Ozma?"

What?

Salem and Ozma?

Who exactly are these two-

Slowly twirling my head towards the cravings once more and the two people fighting one a pale woman with demonic and angelic wings while the other man with blue glowing eyes… no fucking way…

Nani!

The Witch in the Forst Fairy Tale matches with the pale woman's expression red eyes and black veins and the multiple points of view from the other being is an immortal reincarnator!

One that is truly immortal and the other is really a reincarnator!

Are my enemies immortals!

*Beep*

Wait I was fucking right!

Shaking my head I began to check my screen for what to do next after finding out what happened as the thoughts what do these fuckers want with this world…

The Necklace tells me they were once upon time lovers but turned enemies how did that happen?

Mr. President grants a supernatural ability to the user and, as such, it doesn't have a conventional appearance. It is, however, linked to a unique location accessed.

The room created by Mr. President resembles that of a hotel room, containing several pieces of comfortable furniture, a functioning television set, and a refrigerator holding drinks. However, it does not include a bathroom.

Mr. President has no combat ability whatsoever, but its power to have an entire room's space inside itself makes it very useful as a mobile hiding spot.

[Hidden Room]: When one places the entrance, they can access a room the user.

By simply approaching the hand on the entrance, one can "sink" inside the user and find themselves in a plain room inside the Stand User. Inversely, by only raising the arm, the room's occupant can exit the Stand User.

The entrance on the stand allows people to peek from either side of the room's ceiling, although those outsides may see them as very small, while those insides will see people many times taller than them. It may indicate that people shrink to fit inside the Stand User.

The Stand is unable to provide full protection to its occupants from outside attacks, allowing of effects of Stands to seep into the room. The room's integrity and balance, however, aren't affected by moving the stand user around.]

Sigh…

Switching over my Bound Stand slot from [Anubis] with Pluck I replaced it with the key I got combined it with [Mr. President] as I began to command [Harvest], "Sigh… I'm overthinking my situation. For now I'll figure that out later for now I need to deal with those drug dealers. Now then [Harvest] units! Bring over all the artifacts over and place them inside the key activating [Mr. President]! When you're done come over to me!"

"Hee hee!"

"Hee hee!"

With that they began to get things in order as I place my hand over my forehead as I began to take pictures of this place as evidence. But everything about this place only raises more questions for me than answers.

Taking the flags as well I want to know…

Is there a deeper meaning to them… or perhaps…

Taking a glance at the cravings of the two immortals fight and the weapons of choice specifically on the Infinite Man… I began to wonder why his equipped with a crown, and swords…

Perhaps…

These Kingdom emblems…

Are they perhaps actually hiding artifacts inside them?

A/N: Now we are done with the MC questioning this mission but now he grows ever more closely trying to figure out more questions than answers for him. At least he has the right idea so far.

A/N Extra: Also this is a side note but I'm trying to create a fanfic with the MC having the powers of The Gamer but I can't decide on what setting to use since I want to have my hand at it? Should I go with the RWBY setting or do I go with a normal setting with the MC entering literal game worlds to grind also dealing with shady things in his own world.
