"First, I suppose you'd like an explanation for me literally just sneaking in through your window."

'Indeed, I do', Gianni thought to himself. He didn't lower his guard, however. If any suspicious movements were made, he was ready to pounce on Tanner with his newly improved physical capabilities. Something was off about Tanner... paler skin, his body seemed different than before, too. He seemed to be releasing a slightly oppressive aura.

"So..." Gianni Started, "Just what IS your excuse?"

"Gianni. You also have a special power, don't you?"

'W-What?! He knows I have a special power?! Other people couldn't see my stars, though. No, rather, he said also! That means he also has one, and other people may have one too! I wonder how he used the natural energy drawn in by arcana?'

"I'm sure you have plenty of questions, but please wait until the end before asking."

"First off, all of the survivors of Maple Town have actually started to manifest various strange powers. Although we are still new to this, we have still found a few basic guidelines regarding these powers. One, no two people have the same power! Two, all of our powers manifest as a sort of ghostly vision which has powers, and people without their own special power won't be able to see these. Three, Most of these powers manifest of a sort of humanoid which has supernatural physical ability, and generally cannot move too far away from their user. Of course, there are many exceptions to this rule, specifically. And lastly, every power is so powerful that we won't be bound by trivial things like laws anymore."

Gianni was thinking... 'Something like this.... every power is so powerful that we won't be bound by laws? Does this mean most people already have discovered their powers full capability? Also.. "trivial laws"? Did the power get to Tanner's head? Laws are good and maintain order! he can't be thinking of becoming a criminal, can he!?'

Not knowing of Gianni's thoughts, however, Tanner continued, "So this is the situation, Gianni, from what we can tell, our powers can't actually get any stronger. Nevertheless, it is still more than enough. However, do you remember the quiet kid with black hair and crimson eyes, Morrock? He manifested an incredible power! Not only does it show potential to grow, but it can actually influence his body, and of those he chooses! It shows no limits! This holy transformation will perfect and strengthen our bodies! Our powers alone are enough to roam unbounded and freely, now with Morrock's power, we can start building our empire and take over and rule the world! For this reason we have pledged ourselves to Morrock."

'Rule the world?! That's insane! As I thought, they really have gone mad with power... or perhaps they just want freedom. After all, with special powers, wanting to have some privileges is not too much to ask.'

"So, ruling the world. Is that Morrock's goal? Why? Why do you want to rule over the world?"

"Haha, what do you think? Freedom to do anything! To have everything one could possibly want! Money! Power! To be able to have anything in the world as long as one wants. To have every normal person serving you. Morrock came up with this idea, and boy, is it great!"

'Does Tanner realize to establish rule, if it's even possible, would mean countless lives would be taken? To rule over the world however... it does seem interesting.... but not at the cost of the innocent!' Gianni thought to himself.

"So, Tanner, Is there a plan? Whats the plan? I want in."

"Hehe, I knew you'd want in, Gianni, thats why I came for you! Let me tell you. To establish rule, we need power. Although we have power, more power is always good. We are looking for as many people from Maple Town as possible, and then Morrock will use his power on them. His power emits an aura that can permanently transform and strengthen peoples bodies into a demonic form, including his. There will be a limit, and which can be broken through with rituals and sacrifices. After this, who could stop us? We could just kill every government leader and take control!"

'As I thought, this plan is too bloody to go along with... and in addition, turn into demons! That.... I won't reject my humanity!'

"Sacrifices? You mean human sacrifices?"

"That's exactly it. You'd need to kill and bathe in the blood of enough people, and absorb their power though your new transformed body. Alright, Gianni let me lead you to our headquarters."

"Wait!"

"Whats wrong?" Tanner replied.

'I can't just pretend to be a member of them. After all, it would be suspicious if I didn't turn want to turn into a demon and kill like them, I can't be lead there! I.... Tanner... I'll have to kill him now!" Gianni mentally readied himself for what he would have to do.

"Let me show you my cool power, Tanner! Also, whats yours?"

Tanner smiled at this question! "Aha! I'm really proud of my power, Gianni! Let me show you."

From inside Tanner's body came out a lean, white humanoid with a sort of purple visor in-bedded where it's eyes should be. On its upper torso are yellow shapes which decent down, stopping near his legs.

"This is my power. I call it Botania. It's faster than any human and can punch through walls... let me show you." With that, Tanner took out a bend metal pole. Before Gianni could react, it was already in Botanias' hands as it bend it backwards.

'Amazing!' Gianni thought, 'But that pole would be deadly when thrown!'

"Can I see it?" Gianni asked Tanner, referring to the metal bar.

Tanner smirked when he saw Gianni in awe of Botanias' power. He passed the metal bar over and continued speaking, "It's true power however, is to harness the power of plants! I can modify and create special plants which I can use for many purposes. Now.. show me your power!"

'Alright Gianni, you already made a plan. It's time for my big brain to come into play!'

Gianni unleashed the power of Arcana, showing it to Tanner. "This is my power. It allows me to change the world around me, and that includes humans. I've used it to strengthen my senses. I am interested in Morrock's Stand since we can apparently both strengthen people. Here, let me do the same to you."

Gianni stretched his hands over near Tanner's eyes. "Here, relax."

Tanner sat down and closed his eyes.

Gianni placed his hands on Tanners eyelids. 'Alright, you can do this... 3... 2... 1..!' Gianni suddenly pierced two fingers through both of Tanners eyes!
