2 Successor and Leveling up

It was night time, There were three figures at the top of the mountain. One of them spoke with deep voice "Haha, finally that useless master of mine is gone... hahaha"

One of guys behind him was almost trembling from fear, he asked nervously "uh..umm senior brother..do you think master will return"

Instantly the air around them changed to one with murderous intent and the one in lead spoke while pointing ahead "Ba*tard, do you think he survived this.."

In front of them the whole place was in ruins where once stood the proud mountain. The other guy who was quite the whole time thought 'You are too naive to think that way Icarus... This thinking of yours is going to be your doom one day'

Then he spoke "Senior brother Icarus as things stand now, I have to go and inform senior sister about this"

Icarus face turned dark but he instantly hide it with a smile and turned towards them with hands wide spread as he spoke "Brothers.. As of now, in absence of master. I will initiate the ritual of successor. It is time that our sect reach new heights. Master was one with no ambitions but I am different, we have power and we can certainly gain influence over the whole central plains"

The pair of brothers in front of them was first stunned hearing this outrageous speech but they soon accepted it as they knew about Icarus. This twin brothers were after all his junior brothers and known throughout the world as Lucian and Leviathan the incarnation of pure and evil. Lucian was ruthless and Leviathan was submissive, but one thing was clear about them, that it was impossible to separate both of them from each other.

Lucian said almost snickering "I see.. so this is how you will play, brother Icarus I pray for your success. Now then Leviathan it's time we head to the eternal nox forest"

Leviathan was visibly trembling but he somehow managed to nod and then both brothers left. behind, Icarus had a furious expression "This guys seem to think I would lose to that b*tch. Just you wait, I will surely become the sect leader"

After he left, the ruins return to it's dead silent state but there was still a shadow on one of the trees opposite to ruins. The shadow slowly flickered and instantly it reached the ruins. 'hmmm... As expected of Icarus, he started the ritual as soon as master left. It's not that serious but Master Joe where are you?'

While some people from that place were wondering about Joe. He himself was in pinch right now. he was in a room which seemed to be specially used for training, the room was filled with foul air and black blood was oozing out of Joe's body.

"Phew... finally, I've taken my first step towards an indestructible body" he was training in the room for last three weeks in body cultivation.

'It seems this body is trashier than I first thought it would be. I will be needing more resources in order to train my body and to make it to the silver body realm'

he didn't expect that the cultivation system of this world would be same like his. well he was little disappointed about it but still he knew this world had more potential on higher level.

While thinking this he made his way to exit. As he opened the doors after almost three weeks, the guards outside were baffled by the smell and blood on there young master.

One of them came running to his side saying "Young master travis please let me carry you, you seem injured" he got slap on back of his head as he turned around, he saw the captain of guards standing. he grudgingly side stepped.

The captain first bowed to travis and said "Congratulations young master for reaching the later stage of body cleansing realm" he inwardly thought 'Amazing.. to think this is our trouble maker master, who does nothing but give hard time to Duke. He seems to be more mature and his eyes now has a gaze as to be looking someone below him'

To all that joe just let out a "mhm" and started to make his way towards his room. he first wanted to get a warm bath then he was planing to visit someone. The captain said "Young master let this old man accompany you"

Travis nodded while walking and thought a little and said "You are my senior no need to be so formal. You may address me as travis and give any advice as you see fit" he knew this old fart was stronger then he let out, acting humble and all.

The captain was stunned at first but then he thought about his position in guards and let out a little laugh saying "haha, surely young master you jest, but yes there may be somethings that you may learn from my experiences and cultivation"

To that joe snickerd inwardly while thinking 'Ahh.. Yes I will learn but not about experience, I want to see if there is any difference in training of the body and cultivation of energy'

The captain said "There are four main body realms in our kingdom and three minor stages in every realm. There are early stage, middle stage and late stage. You are now at the late stage of your current realm"

"Also the four stage of body cultivation in kingdoms are ..

Body cleansing realm

Bone refinement realm

flesh forging realm

and finally silver body realm"

As they were talking about cultivation they reached at the destination. Travis said "Thanks for sharing your knowledge, then I will be off to cleaning myself" he was about to turn but suddenly remembered something and said "Ahh, I almost forgot. Tell my father I would like to meet him at night, if he's available"

Travis knew his father was very busy with work and he would only meet him occasionally at dinner or when he had caused major trouble. he laughed a little while thinking this and entering the room.

The guard captain nodded and headed back almost in daze. he was thinking how his young master has dramatically changed in his behaviour and the way he carry himself. he didn't even question to what he was told, it seemed like it was an order from the Duke himself.

Then captain was heading towards the Duke's mansion to inform him. While Joe was thinking 'This captain can be useful in the future, what was his name... ah I think it was Cameron'
