Hayara is an elite, one of the gifted landers in her tightly knit community. Growing up with the teachings of peace and prayer while hiding behind high walls and strict protocols, she is oblivious to what is happening between the other Landers outside the safety of her home. Too weak to defend herself against the others out there, her people learn to hide instead of fight, be smart instead of strong. But after Hayara is tossed against her will into a world that she barely knows, her life will change forever.
And not for the better.
Can she fulfill her sole purpose of existence without falling in love with the stranger who's been engaged for a century all the while avoiding the Landers who are hellbent on seeing her fail and, ultimately, her death?
