18 Event/Ambush

-Location: Outside of Jujutsu Tech(Tokyo)-

-POV: Narrator-

"Gather around kiddos, we're going to Kyoto." Said Gojo enthusiastically.

"Why? Is it for the goodwill event?" Asked Maki with a tired expression.

It was 5am so of course all the students would be tired. Gojo usually doesn't sleep, so he's always a bundle of energy. Naoto just made a cloud and slept on it while it followed the group.

"Yeah, and since Kyoto won last year. It will be held there. Make sure to bring home victory for Tokyo." Said Gojo.

A mini van pulled up with Ijichi as the driver. He had bags under his eyes, because Gojo forced him to be the driver, and woke him up.

"Okay kids, get in the van." Said Gojo as he clasped his hands together and disappeared.

"So he's not gonna travel with us? So annoying." Said Maki as she went to the back of the van.

Naoto woke up and went to sit next to maki. She looked at him and sighed. She took off her boots and put her feet up on Naoto's lap.

"If you're gonna sit next to me, you're gonna be used for my comfort." Said Maki as she took Naoto's neck pillow.

Naoto didn't say anything and just sat there reading manga. Yuta and the rest soon joined them in the van.

Ijichi made sure everyone was in the van, and then drove off.

The ride was silent, as everyone just went to sleep while listening to music. Naoto stayed up and read some chapters of berserk.

-2 hours later-

Two hours into their car ride, they stopped in Shizuoka to get some gas and some food. It was now 7am, and they were all feeling hungry.

After getting gas, they went to a breakfast diner. They were the first customers, so they were seated immediately, and a waitress came, and took their order.

Naoto got a classic Japanese breakfast, which consisted of, steamed rice, miso soup, grilled fish, a fried egg, pickled vegetables, and Natto.

It didn't take long for the food to come, so after they got their food they said 'Thank you for the food' and began to eat.

"So who will we be fighting during the event?" Asked Hakari.

"Shake." Said Toge as he agreed with what Hakari asked.

"The participants in this year's goodwill event are as follows. 1st year's Mai Zen'in, Mechamaru, and Miwa Kasumi." Said Ijichi as he read out load.

"For the 2nd year's, they will Noritoshi Kamo, Aoi Todo, and Momo Nishimiya." Said Ijichi as he continued reading.

"And finally, the third year participant. Yusake Uchida." Said Ijichi.

"Who the hell is that? Never heard of him before." Said Naoto.

"He's a third year student, and he's from a small sorcerer clan. The Uchida clan, are a clan of renowned swordsmen." Said Ijichi as he paused.

"They have a inherited Technique, call [Sword Aura]. Anything he touches, can be used as a sword. He can also create illusionary sword made out of cursed energy." Said Ijichi.

"How come this clan isn't known? No offense but they deserve to be in the big three clans. Not the Kamo clan." Said Maki while eating her food.

"Well that's the thing. They are under the Gojo clan. They've been their sworn protectors, for centuries. One of the heads back in the Hein Era formed a binding vow with the Uchida clan. So they've been apart of the clan for a very long time." Said Ijichi.

"Damn, Satoru never talks about his family, so I guess it's obvious we didn't know. And plus the gojo clan matriarch, keeps everything within the clan." Said Naoto.

Naoto mentioned the matriarch because that person is Gojo's mother. Even though Gojo is the head of the clan, she's the most important person behind him.

They continued to eat,but after a while they finally finished their food and left. They got back onto the road and continued driving.

And hour into the ride, Naoto sensed that some people were following them.

"Ijichi, stop the car." Said Naoto.

"Why? Is there something wrong?" Asked Ijichi.

"Just stop the damn car." Said Naoto as he took off his seatbelt.

(A/n: A special grade sorcerer is worried about car safety💀.)

Ijichi just pulled the car to the side and Naoto got out.

"What are you doing? Why'd you get out?" Asked Maki.

"Some curse users are following us. So I'm gonna stretch my legs. You wanna come?" Asked Naoto.

Maki looked at him for a while then nodded. She took out Kenjin from weapon bag, and stepped out of the van.

Now this would come back to bite then in the ass, as Hakari would complain about not being able to join.

Hakari is fast asleep, and when he's sleep he'll never wake up. He's a really deep sleeper, so noise of any kind, will not work.

Maki closed the door to the van, while Naoto told Ijichi that's he'll meet them in Kyoto.

Ijichi nodded and began to drive off. Yuta looked at them both with a worried expression.

"So, how many are following us?" Asked Maki.

"Hmmm, about 30. It seems your dad has gotten impatient. Or it could be someone else. Who knows." Said Naoto as he formed a cloud under him and Maki.

"Don't take this so lightly. That's 30 full fledged curse users after us. Seems like over kill to me." Said Maki as she crossed her arms over her crest.

"You'll be fine, the most powerful ones out of the bunch, is a few grade one curse users. The rest are grade three and below. And with your strength you should be able to take them out. Especially with that sword." Said Naoto.

Maki sighed and nodded her head. Naoto was right, but dealing with that much people will be troublesome, even for her.

"Their here, they casted a veil to block off an escape route. But little dothey know, we don't plan to escape." Said Naoto as he started to smile.

After he finished speaking dozens of people started to appear above him. He could see some perched on trees, some on the ground, and some hiding behind him.

One of the grade one curse users stepped out and looked at Naoto with a crazed expression.

"So you're the famous Naoto Zen'in. You know the bounty on your head is hefty. Someone really wants you dead." Said the curse user.

The curse user had on a blue tee shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of fingerless gloves. His hair was blonde at the top ,and black on the sides.

"So what's your name? I need to know the name of the man I'm gonna kill. Makes it funnier when I tell the story." Said Naoto as he looked at the curse user.

"The names Kenzo, and you're not gonna live to tell the tale." Said Kenzo as he cracked his neck and knuckles.

"Okay, grade ones rally one me. They ready if you take the girl, but make sure to keep her alive. We'll have fun with her before we kill her." Said Kenzo to the rest of the curse users.

Naoto's smile disappeared and a blank expression appeared on his face. Maki looked at Kenzo and sighed.

As much as she wanted to beat the guys skull in. There is one thing that you shouldn't do in front of Naoto.

And that's insult the women in his life, especially Maki and Mai. Maki knew this as he's always protected her, and Mai. And as much as she hates it, she had to admit that it was one of the things she loves about Naoto.

"Maki, make sure you give them hell. I'll handle these scum." Said Naoto as his eyes began to glow in a blue hue.

Maki nodded and dashed towards the group of curse users. The 5 grade one curse users, all began to surround Naoto.

Including Kenzo, there were 4 men, and a woman. They all looked at Naoto with crazy smiles.

"So who's gonna strike first?" Asked Naoto in a calm, but cold tone.

"The deal is whoever kills you first gets the biggest cut. So we will all fight you at the same time." Said Kenzo as he dashed at Naoto.

Naoto just stood there and let Kenzo hit him. Kenzo's fist ignited into flames and when he made contact with Naoto, Naoto burst into flames.

Naoto's body was on fire, but he just stood there.

"Hahaha, it looks like I'll be getting the biggest cut." Yelled Kenzo as he looked at the other G1 curse users.

The other g1 curses user sighed and began walking away. But they all stopped when they heard thunder cracking above their heads.

They turned and looked at Naoto with shocked expressions. They could see him patting himself down.

The fire had disappeared, and Naoto just stood there nonchalantly.

"So this was your cursed technique? It sucks." Said Naoto as he disappeared.

He reappeared in front of Kenzo and grabbed his face, while slamming him into the ground. The rest of the sorcerers all got into a battle stance.

The middle aged g1 sorcerer summoned a bunch of talismans, and summoned a bunch of Shikigami.

A bald shaman in a suit used his cursed tools, and a golden light shined from them. another man with spiky blonde hair, summoned a giant knife and started to dash at Naoto.

The woman wearing traditional kunoichi garments, had purple electricity circulating around her body.

They all began their assault on Naoto. He stood there and released lightning out of his body, knocking everyone away.

The ninja stood firm, as she had some resistance against lightning. She herself had a cursed technique related to electricity.

It only amped her physical abilities, and thinking speed. So she was able to withstand the brunt of Naoto's release.

"You're still standing? Some of your associates are dead. They were more fragile than I thought." Said Naoto.

"I couldn't care less about them, we barely knew each other anyway. We came together because we knew you were too strong for us to handle alone." Said the Ninja.

"So why are you still here? You know you're not enough to take me out." Said Naoto as he stood there pondering.

"You may be right, but I still have my trump card." Said the ninja as she formed hand signs.

Naoto was instantly transported into a isolated space. He looked around and seen that he was in a forest.

"It's seems your domain has something to do with stealth. Since you're not standing before me right now." Said Naoto.

"You're in my domain now. The electricity was a small part of my technique. My technique really comes to life when I activate my domain." Said the Shinobi.

Naoto could hear her voice from all around himself, so it was hard to locate her. His mantra has been cutoff, because of the domain. So he can't use Observation Haki to locate the Shinobi.

Suddenly he was attacked but managed to dodge it. Even though his curse technique is unusable right now, he could still use cursed energy to defend himself.

He decided to use [Domain Amplification] to negate the sure hit effect of the Shinobi's domain.

Naoto then began to notice that the Shinobi was up in the trees. But she was the only one.

"Clones? Your technique revolves around the art of stealth and assassination. Am I correct?" Asked Naoto.

"Yes, my true technique allows me to use stealth to Kill any target within my domain. That why I've been called the best assassin in the world. I have a 100% success rate after all." Said all of the clones.

"Well, whatever. I'm running late, and I don't wanna keep Maki waiting. So I'll show you what a true domain looks like. And don't worry, I won't cheat by removing the barrier." Said Naoto as he did a hand sign with one hand.

In an instant, the Shinobi's domain shattered and was replaced by a thunderous array of clouds.

The Shinobi stood there shaking. Her domain was easily overpowered by her opponent's. But looking around was like looking into a raging storm.

She kept looking around until she seen Naoto sitting on a throne made out of pure lightning.

His clothes were different too. He was shirtless with fore drum attached to his back. He had orange pants with dark patterns, and a blue and purple sash. He also had gold on his ankles and wrist.

But what made her even more scared was the golden staff in Naoto's hand.

"Welcome, now let's get to business." Said Naoto as his voice boomed like thunder, scaring the hell out of the shinobi.

"Who made the bounty?" Asked Naoto as he looked down at the girl.

"I won't tell. Do you think I would betray him? He would kill me." Yelled the Shinobi.

"Wrong answer." Said Naoto as he hit one of the drums with his staff.

BONG!!!!

A dragon made out of lightning rushed at the Shinobi and instantly fried her. She was still alive but, some of her skill was burnt.

"Who made the bounty?" Asked Naoto.

"It was a man and a woman. The man had brown skin with a stitches across his forehead. The woman had white hair with a hint of red, she was also wearing a kimono." Said the Shinobi as she struggled to get up.

"Good, not you can die. El Thor" said Naoto as a lightning bolt descended from the "sky" and struck the Shinobi.

It hit her and instantly vaporized her entire body. This was Naoto's first time using his domain outside of his usual spars with Gojo and Yuki.

Naoto deactivated his domain and looked around. He was surprised at how easily he had killed the other grade one, curse users.

He was being serious, when he said he didn't know they were so fragile. He closed his eyes and seen was Maki was doing.

She had just killed the last of the curse users. She was banged up, but had no serious injuries.

He teleported to her side and instantly used RCT to heal her. She looked at him and sighed.

"Next time you dump something like this one me, I'm getting something in return." Said Maki.

"What would you like then? I'll do anything you want." Said Naoto.

"Christmas is coming in a few months. So you will buy me and Mai anything we want. And then in January, you will do it again." Said Maki.

"You and Mai's birthdays are in January." Said Naoto.

Maki nodded, with a smirk on her face. Naoto just sighed and nodded his head. His pay as a special grade sorcerer wasn't bad, so he could afford it.

"Fine, I'll buy you and Mai anything you want. Are you happy?" Asked Naoto

Maki nodded and stood up. Naoto made clouds under their feet and soon ascended towards the sky.

They both went in the direction of Kyoto. They still had a school event to get too.

-POV: Kenjaku-

It seems my child has finally embraced his true self. He still seems to be holding back though. This isn't good.

Well no matter, the time will come when he will have a challenge worthy of using his all. Uraume has prepared for Yuji to eat one of Sukuna's fingers next year.

All of my plans are coming together. With the curses on my side, I'll have a formidable force behind me. All that's left is for Geto to start his little war.

He's been traveling all around the country killing curses and adding them to his legion. I don't know why he hasn't left the country. There are more powerful curses overseas.

It doesn't matter, he won't succeed anyway. Not with the six eyes user, and Naoto being there.

And as for Okkotsu, he needs to develop more. Now it's time to continue prepping for my switch with Geto.

"Uraume, how is are next host doing?" I Asked.

"He's currently in Hokkaido, fighting an imaginary cursed spirit, it's a registered special grade curse Yuki-Onna." Said Uraume

"Hmm, so the curse is like you?" I Asked.

"Not entirely. I hand manipulate ice, while the Yuki-Onna manipulates snow. Yes she can freeze things, but not on the level of my ice." Said Uraume.

Anyway se seemed angry I compared her to that curse. It doesn't matter anyway, as she not even important in the grand scheme of things.

She's only here because of Sukuna, and if not for him I would've gotten rid of her a long time ago.

"Well let's get started shall we." I said as I stood up and walked towards the destroyed warehouse.
