Chapter 3

In the middle of a dense forest on the mountain behind Hun He Village, a small figure lay among the large trees. Ji Jiu opened his eyes with difficulty. She's dead, so why is she still in so much pain? If she were to be reborn, wouldn't her body be in pain?

"Eh, why am I in the middle of the forest? Where is this place?" Ji Jiu rolled his eyes, looking at the strange environment in front of him.

She thanked them for taking care of her for the past 5 years. She gathered some of the things in the forest for herself to eat. The rest she would give to the villagers who had always helped her. and sell it at the district

 Until this year there has been a drought for several months now. The villagers did not have enough to eat. She had been up the mountain looking for food for several days and still had nothing to eat. Until she starved to death in agony today.

 Ji Jiu who had compiled all her memories could only sigh. Heaven must have punished her for being ungrateful and stingy even to her parents, and sent her to a place where even the earth had to eat to survive. Ji Jiu could only tell herself that she had to live her life well. And repay the villagers who have helped like this little Ji Jiu has always done. Make amends for the karma you did in your past life.

 After consciously accepting this new identity, Ji Jiu slowly gathered his meager physical strength from malnutrition to find food and water to survive first. Fortunately, the child's memory helped her find a source of water on this mountain. By the time she reached the dried up Jijiu stream, she had almost given up several times.

 Small streams have dried up water. Many aquatic animals died from the drought. Ji Jiu could only grit his teeth and walk to find a pool of clean water to eat first.

 Ji Jiu scooped up the water and ate it in several gulps. She also washed her face to refresh herself. She found an old knife that had been used for a long time in the basket. Then she walked to the bamboo grove in her memory so that she could fetch some water to quench her thirst.
