17 Chapter 17

The killer closes the door and makes sure all windows are close before opened the barrel. He takes out the drunk man and takes all his money valuable accessories. He moves to a cupboard before taking out a jar and scoop the liquid before feeding it to the drunk man. The drunk man wakes up after the killer slaps his face. Seeing the killer smile sweetly towards him the drunk wants to scream but is unable to let out his voice and his body is limp without energy. The killer put the drunk man on a chair and tie him with a rope. The rope is dyed red with its previous victim's blood.

The drunk man tries to plea using his eyes but the killer only proceeds towards the kitchen to take a knife. The drunk man's back is sweating profusely and his face is tense. The killer did not wait long and directly cut the drunk man's arm at the elbow. The drunk man screams silently. His eyes are full of tears and his body is trembling. The killer put the knife on the table. The killer sits on the chair and takes out a wine jar and drinks it slowly while appreciating the show in front of him. After a while, the drunk man faints and the killer will wake him up and cut his leg. It continues the whole hands, legs, and head separate from the drunk man's body.

"Having fun aren't you?" Li Zian and Ling Min Zhe appear behind the killer. The killer was startled but he quickly swing his knife towards Ling Min Zhe and Li Zian. Ling Min Zhe effortlessly grabs the killer's hand.

"You really enjoy this game?" Li Zian takes out a pill and stuffs it into the drunk man.

"How? He supposes to be dead!? The killer is shocked seeing the man he kill just now is still alive.

"It is just an illusion." Ling Min Zhe breaks the killer's knee and elbow before tossing him aside.

Fifteen minutes later a group of officers storms into the killer's house only to found the unconscious drunk man tied on the chair and the confused killer. After the interrogation, the killer confessed to killing all those victims because he thought it is fun. At first, it is just a coincidence when he found out about the shadow in the alley and used it to get revenge on the thug that always harasses him for money. He kills the thug and then he start experimenting by killing those victims. Seeing that the yamen unable to find him just added the thrill.

Li Zian and Ling Min Zhe go back to the Fang Valley and wait for the next task, " It is okay to hand the killer to the yamen? I mean we can kill him." Ling Min Zhe said while walking with Li Zian.

"The Jiangong rule is always to follow the world rule first then another method. How can we appease the victim and their family if the killer is just killed like that?"

"But isn't our method is better? It is fast and clean. Once he is in the underworld, he will get his punishment a thousand times painful."

"Ling Min Zhe, you are so naïve. Ha...Ha...Ha, the pain in their heart needs to be vented plus human hearts are crueler than the underworld." Li Zian enters the inner chamber and leaves the naïve Ling Min Zhe.

"But! What if the killer also creates resentment because of those human hearts!? It only added to our job!"

The spirit named Shui Xian enters the inner chamber. Li Zian is currently laying comfortably on a couch.

The first condition is to give a plot of land and a house for your second sister. All her effort on that land will not be given to the family. Second, your second sister will not live in the main house but to stay in the new house. She will not serve the in-law since they already have a new daughter-in-law. Third, your brother-in-law cannot take advantage of the property that has been given to your second sister.

"Father is good! How dare they bullied my second sister. Those stingy family likely to let out a mouthful of blood after hearing the condition."

"They sure are. Master's second sister mother-in-law faint and her father-in-law rally his people to attack, luckily the head village of Li Village comes and help your family. He demands that your second sister's in-law comply. They have a lot of lands and live like a lord in the village but cannot even give a plot of land to their daughter-in-law? Your first brother gives your second sister some money and your third brother sends five piglets for your second sister. Li Zian chuckles a bit hearing about her fourth brother. It seems like he is far from making a sword, "Alright, send some herb seeds to my father and second sister. Write the instruction on how to tend the herb and also send the recipe for pig food. Let the piglet grow fat and sold handsomely. Tell them that those herbs are found in the forest and buy some from Uncle Wang. Father always wants to grow herbs because it is more profitable but never has enough money to buy all the seeds. Also, send three fierce dogs to guard my second sister and her two daughters."

"One more thing, Master's first sister-in-law still asking for chickens."

Li Zian did not respond for a while and before Shui Xian retreat he heard Li Zian's voice, "Get one wild rooster and two hens for her. Make sure my chicken food recipe is not leaked. If she asks for it just ignore her."

Shui Xian bows and gets out from the inner chamber. At that time another spirit, Chu Ju comes.

"Another task?" Shui Xian glance at Chu Ju.

"Yes! Chu Ju walks in with a serious face.

Shui Xian sigh. His master just gets back and is only able to close her eyes. After another two months, the slave's training will be complete and his master will be able to take a break. Who would think that his master level up her Jiangong level so soon and meet the Hao Clan?

Chu Ju enters the inner chamber and sees Li Zian laying on the couch.

"Master, Chu Ju is here." Li Zian that laying down opens her eyes and sits straight. From her eyes, there is no tiredness, the only twinkle of amusement can be seen.

"Oh! Another task?" These days sure are fun. I get to travel to many places."

"Yes, master!" Chu Ju giggles a bit. "Excuse me master, but Shui Xian thought that you are having a hard time and the pain in his eyes is wasted."

"He...He...He. Let him be. The task is pouring but it is not that hard. So, what is it?"

Chu Ju tells Li Zian the level of resentment in a few cities and lets Li Zian choose where to go first. Meanwhile, Ling Min Zhe that just hit the pillow when he receive the notification in his mind about the task.

"I just want a night of sleep." Ling Min Zhe snore can be heard in the room. He truly is tired.
